NOT America's most convenient bank like their slogan!!!!

when several debit transactions for the same company for different amounts doesn't send an alert flag something is wrong, when a direct account to transfer ALL money in one account into another account that was attempted for SEVERAL back to back transactions in different amounts for the same company IS NOT FLAGGED AS SUSPICIOUS something is wrong. No suspicious activity, no alerts no nothing. Forced to close two accounts due to mobile fraud, open two new accounts and did not get debit cards for over 14 business days! With no starter checks from the branch and not being able to print a debit card at the branch it was WEEKS until I was able to access my own money and pay bills. Bill companies don't care that your bank account was compromised and you had to wait to get PAPER CHECKS and/or a debit card so here come the late payment fees. Td bank closes at 1pm on Saturday and is closed on Sundays NOT "AMERICA'S MOST CONVENIENT BANK" ANYMORE!!!!

The TD Bank on Garners Ferry in…

The TD Bank on Garners Ferry in Columbia, SC has continuously gone downhill. The newest manager Reina is terrible. She has the personality of a wet blanket. I think her face would crack if she smiled. This branch has undergone so many staff changes it leaves you dizzy. Constantly understaffed. Their wealth department is also very poor. Go elsewhere. The only good thing about TD are there hours.

My mom passed away & the will Showed I was The Executer & Beneficiary of Her Bank Account. The TD Bank Gave My Moms Money To There Estate Personal. As the Executer and only Beneficiary I Have No Access To This Account.I Now Have To Hire a Lawyer to Go To The Queens Bench to Get Access to it. So The Bank Takes my Moms Money & Does Not Follow The Will The Lawyer Made with My Mom
They Take Her Money & just Say To Me its Estate Money. I GUESS WHAT THAT MEANS ITS THE BANKS MONEY NOW. NOT THE EXECUTERS OR BENEFICIARY PEOPLE LISTED ON THE WILL. I AM GOING TO POST THIS EVERY WHERE I CAN. FROM DENIS FERRIS. TD BANK IN CAMROSE THIS HAPPENED AT.

I have worked at TD Auto finance…

I have worked at TD Auto finance department and it is worst company I ever worked for. No appreciation for the work done, a lot and lot of politics. Team does not feel like a team. I regret joining TD and doing business with TD. You might be wondering why I joined then - they lied everything in interview. I was looking for a new set of skills and they promised me to give me that and after joining no such tech or skills exist in the team. They made me do work that I never signed up for. Even Directors and management is useless I personally met them to help me go to some good role and no help whatsoever.

Never doing business with them or work for them again in my life.

My house was robbed

My house was robbed, all of my cards and ID was stolen as well as my keys to my car. TD was my main bank, I needed to get my card replaced before I could do LITERALLY anything else.

A friend had a very small window to give me a ride and help me get my card replaced, because the computer wasn’t able to tell them how to do their job I was forced to call and wait on hold with f****g loss prevention when I was IN the branch.

I had a very small window to get things dealt with and was left on hold for 25mins before I walked up and said this is unacceptable. Basically told oops come back another time.

I will be moving everything out of this shitty overpriced bank. My parents have always hated them and today I got a taste of why.

Avoid TD at all costs.

Won't cash a $2.00 check!

Although my wife and I have a joint checking account, my use of TD Bank is normally limited to taking the loose bills that I save and exchanging them for a $100 bill. The process is annoying in that they go through the total process of verifying if I have an account which normally tales around 4 - 5 minutes before changing the money. Today I went in to cash a $2.00 government check and after the 4 minute or so account verification, I was told I could not cash it and that government checks had to be deposited. This is in spite of the fact that my checking account had a balance of several thousand dollars! When I got home I did some research and found that the no cash government check policy is not a government rule but one of TD Bank. Nice going TD Bank, that $2.00 check really left you vulnerable. If it were solely up to me, I would close all my business with TD and find another bank however it would be too much of a pain for my wife!

Extremely disappointing bank — avoid TD Bank

I strongly regret doing business with TD Bank. My experience has been an exhausting combination of unprofessionalism, rudeness, condescension, bureaucracy, contradictory information, and an apparent lack of accountability.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that TD presents itself as “America’s Most Convenient Bank,” yet basic banking operations can be remarkably inconvenient. Even something as simple as changing a phone number can turn into a bureaucratic nightmare. Getting a straightforward answer or having a problem actually resolved can require repeated contacts, multiple employees, and an unreasonable amount of time. Branch availability and basic account servicing can also be far less convenient than the advertising suggests.

The customer service experience has been especially bad. Lots of staff have been dismissive, condescending, unnecessarily difficult, and seemingly more interested in defending the bank's procedures than actually helping the customer. Worse, I have encountered contradictory information from different representatives, which makes it extremely difficult to know what the bank's actual policies are. When a bank gives customers conflicting answers and then expects the customer to simply accept the resulting inconvenience, that is not acceptable customer service.

TD's credit card offerings are also underwhelming. Rewards are weak, redemption options are unnecessarily limited, and the overall value is poor compared with competing cards. Consumer protections are also comparatively restrictive in important situations, including a particularly short dispute period. There is little reason to accept these limitations when there are so many alternatives available.

The biggest problem is the overall pattern: TD makes ordinary banking unnecessarily difficult, while its advertising gives the impression of convenience and customer friendliness. The gap between the marketing and the actual customer experience is enormous.

There are plenty of banks and credit unions competing for customers. You do not need to put up with this level of bureaucracy, poor communication, and disrespect.

My advice: think twice before opening an account with TD Bank. If you have not committed to them yet, consider taking your business elsewhere. There are better options.

Not a reputable business

Closed on a home construction loan. Terms were 18 months interest only, then conversion to an amortizing mortgage. When my house was not completed within 18 months, I asked for a 60 day extension. TD denied the request, saying an extension required proof of a hurricane or other natural disaster. When I asked for the contract provision they were relying on for this position, I was provided a document that indicated that a 6 month extension was available on payment of a $525 fee, no other requirement listed. I tendered the $525 and asked for the stipulated extension. Instead of complying with their own documents, they began charging me interest on money I had never borrowed in a mortgage. There are reputable banks out there; TD is not one.

I received a notification on my TD…

I received a notification on my TD credit card on 8/27 for: Merchant Name: MINIMUM CHARGE
Amount: 1.00. I called TD about it. They said it was a charge from TD because I had not paid off my full statement balance. They said it was in the customer agreement. I was more confused after I hung up with them. In desperation I Googled it. It turns out that the charge was a minimum interest charge. If your credit card has a low balance, they charge you a minimum of $1 in interest. Not only was the transaction description vague, but the agent I spoke to led me to believe it was some kind of penalty for not paying off my entire credit card balance.

Positive Experience with a Customer Service Representative

I would especially like to recognize the TD Visa Customer Service representative who assisted me, whose name I believe was Simran, although I apologize if I have remembered or spelled it incorrectly. What remained with me after the call was the unusual degree of patience, attentiveness, and composure she brought to the conversation, listening closely enough to understand the substance of my concern without requiring me to repeatedly restate it, while communicating with a clarity that made an otherwise frustrating matter considerably easier to navigate. There was a warmth in the way she spoke with me that coexisted naturally with her professionalism and efficiency, and the cumulative effect was an interaction in which I felt genuinely listened to and taken seriously. I hope TD is able to identify her through the TD Visa Customer Service call record and ensure that this feedback reaches her, because the quality of service she provided reflected exceptionally well on TD and deserves recognition.
