Direct and clear explanation and response. Good listening to my problem
Thank you Aaliyah for your assistance
Avoid at all costs! Was with bunch for a year, and am still paying for it almost two years later. Still making random extra charges on my card, sending emails for hundreds of pounds owed despite being all paid up at the end of the contract. Trying to get any kind of customer service is like pulling teeth.
An absolute scam and not worth the trouble, please avoid especially young people don’t get tricked like we did!
(Also, Bunch are not a proper energy supplier. They resell energy from TruEnergy. Do not trust!)
The worst company I’ve ever used. Would never recommend this, it ahytning id actively tell people to avoid at all costs, made bills such an unnecessary hassle for 12 months. Judah was nice though.
Beyond terrible. Would not recommend to anyone. Sent over ten emails and no one answers the phone.
I have had a pretty awful experience ranging from feeling like my data was scraped in the first place to prey upon what is quite a stressful moment of moving house to being certain that I was potentially being scammed.
There was some uncertainty about the property I was moving into and I had to arrange my utilities through other means which meant that I needed to be able to cleanly close my The Bunch account (I believe I was in the 14 day cooling off period when I first submitted a cancellation form), this simply did not and has not happened.
Somehow they have managed to double the amount shown as due after I asked for a refund of the initial payment and being told I would be given a refund and that my account would be closed.
This whole process has been going on for about a month now, the amount that shows as being due seems to randomly change every day. I am told I will be getting a refund in 6 - 10 working days and that my account will be closed/I can safely ignore the amount shown as being due, it has been about 7 days since I was told this, with no sign of a refund. Obviously at this point I am not sure I trust them to refund me and based on other reviews I don't see a reason to.
Awful customer service that takes ages to respond, the only way I have found that works to use the call back function on their phone line.
Ridiculously high fees.
Appalling amateur customer service.
As seen on BBC The One Show/Watchdog on 10th December 2025.
I would not recommend Bunch, now operated by Huddle Utilities Ltd, based on my experience.
I raised a formal complaint over my account and billing. Bunch acknowledged the complaint and specifically told me that credit-control escalation would be paused while it was being reviewed.
The complaint is still not fully resolved, yet they have since attempted to take a payment from my account.
I then formally gave notice to end my Bunch services on 23 September and raised it again directly with the complaints representative handling my case on 25 September. Despite chasing, I still have no confirmation that my cancellation has been actioned or even what my end date is. Instead, I continue to receive invoices and tariff communications completely ignoring my previous emails.
I’ve now also received a £367.70 bill directly from Thames Water, stating that my account with them was opened from 1 August, despite Bunch also managing and billing me for water. I’ve asked them to explain how these charges reconcile and whether there is any overlap. I don’t believe I could have possibly used that much water so that means my past water bills weren’t being paid
Mistakes happen. What I find unacceptable is having to repeatedly chase a company to resolve an open complaint, action a cancellation and provide a clear explanation of what I’m actually being charged for.
Bunch has since informed customers that the business is now operated by Huddle Utilities Ltd, so I expect Huddle to take ownership of these outstanding issues rather than allow them to continue unresolved.
At this point, I simply want my complaint resolved, my account properly reconciled, no further attempts to collect the disputed balance while the complaint remains open, and my cancellation notice actioned.
It’s disappointing that I’ve had to post publicly in the hope of getting a substantive response.
Terrible experience, terrible customer service, and deliberately difficult to unsubscribe, especially considering most people are automatically assigned to the bunch by their letting agent.
Although they are supposed to manage your utility bills, you will still get invoices from other suppliers, because they are shockingly poor at their own game. Their prices are also very high.
What I found to be most frustrating was that it took several months to unsubscribe, and insisted on having documents which are not legally necessary. I was continued to be billed hundreds of pounds while navigating their terrible customer services. Part of me feels this was deliberate. Horrible experience all in all.
Tried to cancel three times and each time they’ve found something meaningless to stop the cancellation and now they’ve charged us all £77. Don’t ever join bunch it’s built to rob you
He is the best
Well explained
Well detained
He deserves a pay rise please
Luke is pleasant in his approach, and anytime he attend to me, he always solve issues and leave me pleased.
Pathetic team , they scam you don’t fall for this . They keep bringing up ways to ask you to pay for money more than a year I have left this flat and keep collecting money . Said that I needed to make 3 payments and set up a direct debit of 12 months . Terrible
If I could give zero stars I would but I can't. Bunch has continued to take money from me and my flatmates, continued to increase our supposedly "fixed" rate each month, made it extremely difficult to cancel our contract, and employ people who have no clue what they're doing and are no help. Bunch is a complete scam DO NOT sign a contact with Bunch or affiliate yourself with them unless you want to sign a deal with the devil.
DO NOT sign up with Bunch under any circumstance. We were talked into signing up given the illusion that our contract would be a fixed rate throughout the year. They then proceeded to increase our monthly payments every 2-3 months or so, under suspicious explanations telling us they would reevaluate our account while our payments increased from 100 to 240GBP per month which is absolutely appalling. The customer service is shocking, with calls taking up to an hour to get a response and when they do we are met with incompetent employees who do not even know how their own service operates. Their whole system feels sketchy and exploitative and they will try and overcharge you for questionable extra fees and services. More than that, cancelling was a nightmare and took about 5 calls for them to proceed with the cancellation - do not recommend.
Its a one star because i cant go lower, they have indefinite hold lines where you can sit there for an hour with no indication of a wait time, employee's that just want you off the phone quicker.
Oh and according to south east water they arent actually paying our water bill, so theres another fun thing that i'll have to solve whilst bunch still refuse to answer calls.
Can someone from Bunch contact me? I’ve recently joined and have heard from no one. I don’t understand what’s going on with this company. And I’m already being charged for services that aren’t yet live.
It's a con - they over charge, they don't answer phones and their way of dealing with issues is to ignore you. To get out of the contract you have to pay £100-£300 per bill they look after. I had electricity, Gas (a standing order which seemingly changed each month for them) and Water.
I was expected to pay around £300 cancellation fee despite the fact they were charging a one bed flat that had no gas over £400 a month. A single living person, who spent most of their time at work, £400 a month!
Disgusting service, vile tariffs and even after you leave them they still hound you for money and payment plans.
It has got so bad that I am having to let my bank know that any payments they try and take is fraud at this point.
DO NOT USE THEM. DO NOT CONTACT THEM AS THEY WILL NOT LEAVE YOU ALONE. IT IS MORE EXPENSIVE THIS WAY.
I really regret having signed up with Bunch. I didnt realise how much more they charge for services and everytime you try to get in touch with them it take over a week to get a reply (when you do!).
I've been trying to cancel the services with them but even that seems impossible. Very frustranting and terrible customer service.
I would rate zero stars if possible. This was sold to me as a way to make managing bills easier. It has been SIGNIFICANTLY worse and far more expensive than managing my bills myself. They have used the most expensive supplier and made it almost impossible to get out of. I have been trying to leave Bunch for over 6 months even though I am out of contract. The customer service is appalling. I receive multiple contradictory emails all the time and it takes weeks for any request to be actioned. The phone advisers tell me something different every time I call, after keeping you on hold for many hours. Everyone I speak with now tells me of a similar experience with Bunch. Never again. AVOID. A total scam, and they will cause you a financial nightmare.
Judah was very patient and calm with me.
He is such a professional! Few persons are like that these days!
Keep it up Judah!
