Same as other reviews, this is an awful, even fraudulent service. No indication of whether the book was digital or printed version and I didn't get what I had expected but refund refused. Hiding behind T&Cs.

I have written a review before about the books I ordered never being received - nowhere did it mention it was a pdf. I was promised a refund - three months later not received . My credit card company (Tesco) refuses to refund my money because the invoice doesn't state whether I ordered a hardback, softback or a pdf book even though all the screenshots I have sent imply they were hardback books. Tesco say contact the seller, but the seller just sends automatic emails.
Be warned.

Again, don’t buy - goods not received.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE . It's is a SCAM and FRAUDULENT company . I wish I'd have read reviews first . Purchased a book and waited for weeks for delivery which never arrived . I've emailed them several times without success . NO reply and NO refund. I have no idea why they are allowed to advertise on Google??? Lost my money

As with all the other comments, ordered a book 29th September and never received it.
Have raised this with the fraud team with my bank to see if we can reverse the transaction

BEWARE… SCAM OR THEFT MORE TO THE POINT!
I ordered a book from ‘The Global World’ in all good faith, paid & waited for book. 2 weeks had passed so I contacted them via email as I had no joy speaking to anyone on the phone number shown on the e-receipt So, I emailed another 6 times, 7 emails all that time wasted, money & frustration when a company are happy to sell you something that doesn’t exist, take our money & at best fobbed off with pdf versions which many of us, like myself hasn’t even received that.
It’s actually Daylight Robbery aka THEFT! Stealing from us all & nothing seems it can be done to stop this company, amongst many more.
Why when it’s brought to the attention of Trading Standards, Action Theft etc Are these people shut down or perhaps by us innocent victims of theft, Scammed, Intentionally sold us products that didn’t even exist with these scumbags that Steal from us. With technology nowadays this sort of thing shouldn’t be happening!!!

DO NOT BUY A THING OR EVEN GIVE ABY DETAILS & especially NOT ANY CARD DETAILS!!!.
Please please can someone in the know try to stop this completely from no longer trading & take them down.
A total disgrace & obviously our country need to tighten up on web completely & how legit they are & as reviews keep coming surely it must be flagged up to someone so please be very careful.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. I ordered what I believed to be a hardback book but apparently it's a digital version which is no good for the elderly relative that I was buying it for.
Have emailed them & all I get is a stock reply saying no refunds!!
Shocking, disgraceful company, avoid at all costs.

Basically same thing has happened to me as all the reviews. Ordered what I thought was a book for a friend and it never arrived. Going to try credit card company first for advice.

Like others have said - do not use this company they are scammers. Nowhere during the purchase process did it they mention digital books. Reported to Trading Standards

Update 27/10/2021 - I contacted Citizens Advice who advised me to contact Action Fraud (Police), which I have done today.

Like others I ordered this book and never received anything. It was a present for my mum so i was trying to track the order when after 7 days I'd still not received it.
I checked my bank statement as I knew I'd paid for it but all it said was TARACHERN I did a search for this in Google and came across all these reviews.
Nowhere did it say it was a pdf, and even if it did I never got anything. Absolute scammers.

Got scammed, they didn't send me the book I bought. I contacted them and they told me I bought a digital version, which I didn't. They haven't even sent me a digital version or a receipt. They took the product page down quickly.

I, too, ordered from this company and found that it was a download. However, after a few exchanged emails requesting a refund, threatening and referring to Trading Standards, and,always politely but firmly, pointing out that they were in breach of contract I have today received a refund. A small amount but a battle won. Persevere!

I wish I had checked company out before placing order for a book.I too expected a "real" book not an audiobook to download.I immediately e-mailed them to request a refund however
e-mail failed to deliver.I have also called them but they only
provide a mobile number & no answer so I left a message.Called my credit card company who are unable to refund unless I cannot download book (which I haven't yet tried)

Wish i'd read these reviews first - like so many others, purchased expecting a physical copy, queried why it hadn't been delivered and got a reply saying it was a pdf. No refund was allowed, i questioned where it says digital and got no reply. I also a week later go a rouge text regarding a book delivery and to click a link to get it redelivered -I didn't as I guess it was a scam - maybe the 2 are related, clearly this company has no scruples! Appalling that they get away with it -how do we stop it??

Avoid !!! nothing but a con. Thought I was purchasing a book but it was a pdf download.

Scam, no book, no reply to e mails
I am trying to get charge back from the bank, on a matter of principle rather than a huge cost which i guess is why they can get away this scam, i have found on line the book i ordered stating it is hard backed from them!!!

Thought it was a book - doesn’t say a pdf download anywhere. Do not use - absolutely taking you for a ride.

I paid in full for what I thought was a book, after a couple of weeks, when I asked for a delivery date, I was then told it was actually a pdf and NOT a book! This is not explained anywhere on the order screen or at checkout.
I've emailed again since, saying I still haven't received anything, not even the pdf I paid for, which i didn't want anyway, I wanted a paperback book, I've asked for a refund, and so far I've been ignored. Will NEVER order from this company again.

same as other reviews no replies to email, thought i was ordering a book but no link to a download, just don't bother using them.
