I lost £6.40, not a lot I know ,but I can’t stand DISHONESTY,, TAKE THIS SCAM OFF SITE.I intend to contact Trading standards.

As others, I was misled into believing I was buying an actual book! As soon as I purchased, I checked my email for confirmation but nothing. After telling my sister about this cook book I was buying she looked into the site because she too wanted to buy the same book. She sent me the link of the appalling reviews and I instantly knew I'd lost my money. I emailed them asking for a refund and they advised me that I bought the book in digital form and to check my e-mail under "new order " e-mail and that the link to download would be in it and it got sent upon purchase. Obviously this email doesn't exist. Don't part with a penny, they take your money and you're left with nothing.

Like everyone else, wish I'd read the reviews first! This company is disingenuous to say the least and obviously don't see the definition of a 'book' as something printed on paper like 99% of people do. I guess they get away with it because its 'only £4.50' so nobody takes it further. If they were reputable they would have a notice on their website to emphasise that they're selling a download bearing in mind the number of people like me who appear to be 'mistaken' but of course they won't do that as their lucrative little scam would then dry up. I will look into contacting the author to see if she is aware of what's going on and I urge others to do the same

Ended up ordering without looking at reviews lol. Emailed and responded with “it’s digital” when I got no email for the link. I originally ordered THE BOOK and it doesn’t state on the website it’s “digital” it’s a scam, don’t buy

Do not purchase from these. I feel its a scam. I paid for a book, received nothing, customer service is zero. Shocking.

This site is a scam. I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered.
I know it's only £4.50 but they have basically taken it from my account but I have absolutely nothing to show for it. No book, no PDF to download!!!! It's theft, pure and simple.

Thought I had orderd a book but apparently a "digital copy" says nothing about this on the sales page of their site. Do not buy from these people

I found this website after searching for Trachern, which appeared on my credit card after I purchased a 'book'. Yes it was a pdf but that wasn't shown on the purchase page. I asked for a refund and was refused. I then emailed with a link to this page, and pointed out that I'd been to the Small Claims Court and found it user-friendly. I got an email saying I'd get a refund in 5 to 10 days, but it only took a couple of days. I agree with those saying the site should be closed and the perpetrator(s) prosecuted for fraud.

Ordered a paperback. Requested a refund as was later informed it was a pdf book, not even a pdf link sent to me!!!!. This company/person must be stopped due to the amount of money they are obtaining fraudulently. Everyone must report it immediately to stop it. I wonder where the money is going too.

Avoid avoid avoid. Fakesters criminals fraudsters. Kept emailing for 5 weeks asking where my book was to then get a reply when I'd be contacting my credit card company. No where does it say it's a digital book why would I buy a 70 year old a digital book. Challenged them about this and they went back to ignoring my emails. Awful cowboy fraudster of a company !!

i ordered a book completely unaware that it was a pdf version and emailed them for a refund and they haven’t replied so i have sent them another email that’s more “pressing” and also called them and left a voicemail. i am waiting to hear back from them but they are a scam. if you have ordered from them and want a refund, threaten that you’ll go to your bank and that it is against the trading standards as i have read that others have done it and they were successful in getting a refund. this company is a scam and i now regret buying off of them

I wish I had seen the reviews first 🙁. Do not under any circumstances buy from this company. I brought a book which I thought was going to be a physical copy but apparently it was a digital download which they don’t send you anyway. I have chased for a copy of the download but they just keep saying it has already been sent to me and they are unable to offer a refund.

I posted bad reviews and threatened them with Trading Standards and they refunded my money.

I thought I was getting a physical copy of a book I ordered, I didn’t receive a confirmation email so I emailed the company asking for one, they replied back to me and stated I bought a Digital copy completely unaware, so I went back and said their website does not state that ANYWHERE which is very misleading, i also sent photos of their website JUST to make them aware it doesn’t state purchase of a digital copy anywhere, I then threatened them with a bank dispute and they refunded me straight away.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

I thought I was buying a physical copy of a book. How silly of me. Avoid this sham company. They will happily take your money deceitfully and won't refund it.

I would give these zero stars but there’s no facility to do this. Like others I ordered the book from them only to find out later it was a pdf version. No where in the write up did it say this. I contacted them and they said it was a digital book to which I replied nowhere in the description did it say this and that I wanted a refund! I followed advice from a previous poster and said I would be reporting them to the police, trading standards, the publisher etc. Within 10 minutes they asked for my order number to be able to issue a refund! Even though I’d included that in my first email 🤦‍♀️ I then told them they had a few hours to sort it out! Next email said a refund had been issued but would take 5-10 days. Wasn’t holding out much hope but the following day it was back in my bank. So don’t give up getting a refund! I’ll now round the refund up and donate it to Robs charity.

Scammed. Told me its stated In their terms and conditions that it's a PDF. Theres no terms and conditions. Usually I'm hot on scam websites but this one got me. Absolute disgrace that this website is still up and running with every review being the same issue. By the way, The book I purchased for £7 can be bought hard copy for £10 and downloaded as a pdf for free! 🤬

Do not use this company. Penguin books are looking to take legal action against them for the illegal downloads.
