I got my mortgage approved with The True North Mortgage. Gershon was my mortgage broker who helped me through the process. At the beginning he promised me minimum interest rate with 0.2% lower than others and he ended up getting me 0.3% lower than the others. He also helped me in making selection between variable and fixed rate with good understanding of market. The entire process was very smooth and time efficient.

6 months ago I had the opportunity to meet Gershon Ashurov while I was trying to buy a house
Gershon worked hard and talked to me through phone calls,emails, and countless questions because of my many worries because I was going this new adventure myself.
The purchase didn't end up working out (something on my end) but he still gave me some advice and told me to contact him when I was more ready and that he would be there to help me.
You could tell he was just as upset as I was but the timing maybe just wasn't right.

Then finally just last month on a Friday I was presented with another chance to buy a house and contacted Gershon because he deserved to finally get "the sale" from me for all his previous hard work and how great he was to work with.
He worked with me on that Friday and even at one point took some emails from me on a Saturday night and Sunday morning which is just over the top crazy amazing in my books.
This man worked so hard to get me a house.
You could feel his passion in his voice and how he cared for me more than just a guy buying a house.
He truly is the pinnacle of mortgage brokers and anyone wanting to buy a house should consider him because he's "the guy"

I heard about True North from a friend and was worried about using a “non-Big 5” for my new home purchase but, I am so glad we did! I thought that was it but one year later when I thought I was passed off to the mortgage provider, our TN broker reached out with several options for our renewal! It was unexpected and compared to the rates I was being offered, they found an option that was incredibly competitive and a relief for us after living through the recent rate hikes! We seamlessly switched our mortgage and no longer worry about having to manage our mortgage on our own! Huge shout out to Gershon for his patience, insights and proactive management!

My husband and I first started working with True North Mortgage back in 2014 where we were introduced to Gershon. W were first time homebuyers taking a big swing for a house that felt out of reach. Now we're working with him again this month for our second renewal and he has had some excellent advice around high interest rates and what we can do to play the long game to save as much interest as possible in these turbulent economic times. Gershon is so fantastic with explaining things in terms we understand and making sure we're making the right financial decisions for our family and long-term goals. It feels like he's not just our mortgage adviser, he's our family friend- that's how at ease he makes us feel. If you're lucky enough to work with him, you're in very good hands!
