I just want to thank Christi Wigle for…

I just want to thank Christi Wigle for her kindness and understanding on Aug. 7th .I called back on Mon.Aug. 14th just to make sure they received the papers that I signed on DocuSign. I spoke with Tonya Jarman and then I also spoke with Melanie in that department. All of these ladies were so kind .I appreciate the fact they were not judgemental in anyway. Thanks so muchfor having employees that care about you.

I'm stuck in paying 29,000 in 23 years, with the $500.00 I pay monthly only $50.00 is going to my principal...I personally don't like the fact that I'm not allowed to pay my taxes or insurance,

I personally don't like the fact that I'm not allowed to pay my taxes or insurance, I'm quite capable of doing that myself. I have a loan of 29,000, with 23 years to pay it off.. imagine that!!!, I'm paying 500.00 a month and only 50.00 is going toward my principle, that sucks, I'm trying to get a loan from the bank so I can see my principle go down each month, I'm 70 years old, I don't want to be paying this for 23 years, I will be 93 years and still paying off a loan …Lets be REAL!!! allow me to pay my own taxes and insurance and apply the money I pay monthly to my principal...that will make me very happy, I'm going to speak to a member of congress and see if this is even legal... there has to be a better way....VERY DISCOURAGING, SO IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO FINANCE A MOBLE OR MODULAR HOME, PLEASE GO TO A BANK FOR YOUR LOAN....however I spoke with Sherry Watson, she is amazing, very thorough and nice, excellent customer service, she explained the escrow to me and answered all of my questions... I think the only solution is to get a bank loan and leave Vanderbilt alone, I do not recommend them if you're in your late 60's or 70's.. unless you live to be 100....it will take that long to pay them off....I gice SHERRY WATSON 5 STARS!!!!!!!!!!! SHE IS THE ONLY ONE THERE I WILL SPEAK WITH, ONE GUY TOLD ME THEY NEEDED OUR INTEREST TO HELP THEIR EMPLOYEES ETC, HE WAS TERRIBLE, WISH I REMEMBERED HIS NAME..... KEEP DOING A GOOD JOB SHERRY....

The woman I talked to(Christy Tuller)…

The woman I talked to(Christy Tuller) was amazing help and helped me get my mortgage back on track. If you’re scared to call for you, think you’re gonna get in trouble call them and they can help you out. I thought I was going to get in trouble or have something happen to my house or anything bad happened but she help me realize that there is no point in me not asking for help because they help you. I definitely appreciate Vanderbilt mortgage, and Miss Christie.

Steer clear of this place. The communication is virtually non existent unless you hunt them down for days. Loan processors NEVER answer their phones. Very frustrating when you are trying to get answers about your HOME!! Lackadaisical with your money. They say one thing, then do another. Very poor customer service all the way around.

I'm a first time homeowner

I'm a first time homeowner, for years I often heard about what kind of monsters and sharks mortgage companies could be. So becoming a homeowner I had my fears of dealing with bad mortgage companies. Boy was I fooled Vanderbilt is like family and communication is key. We had terrible ordeal with Hurricane Ida but they understand and proceeded to provide all the help they could. Courtesy calls often to check in and see how we were recovering. I just love the Tennessee accent 😍. Today I spoke with Mr. Mike and he speaks loud and clear I could here his smile in voice. I explained my situation and reason for calling in and he immediately with any question nor hesitation began providing me with assistance I didn't even was available to me. I recommend everyone to the company. You guys are awesome. Vanderbilt makes impossible things possible.

If you are thinking of buying a home…

If you are thinking of buying a home please do not do it with Vanderbilt Mortgage Inc. I bought my home and land with in 2012 with a 20 year loan. Tuesday July 20, 2021 I sent them the pay off of my home in the amount of $ 38,190.66, it is now Friday July 23,2021. And was told this morning at 9am, my funds have not been added to my loan yet, because they did not know where the funds where at. This was a done by the wiring info they had sent to my bank to be wired. I have called their bank and the funds have been setting there since Tuesday. I have spoken with 4 people about this matter this morning, and all I get is a run around about "well we got to find your funds". They charge a fee everyday that the funds are not added to my account. There for they are still making money. And all I get is we will call you back by the end of the day with good news are bad. Please do not buy from this company. And if you know anyone that is wanting to buy from them, please talk them out of it.

VMF helped us when we needed it the most!

We financed a home with VMF 2 years ago and haven't had any problems with them. Due to the covid shut down in 2020 my wife and I were both laid-off last May, we finally had to call and request a deferred payment today. Bethany and her Supervisor went above and beyond to help us with a payment extension.
Thank You VMF!

If you are thinking about buying a home…

If you are thinking about buying a home through Vanderbilt mortgage you should read this review very closely I bought a home 5 years ago and the balance is only a couple thousand dollars less than the original balance and the down payment was more than that. The interest rates is high, only a very very small amount will go toward the principle the rest is interest and the rest goes into an escrow account where they pay the taxes and the insurance from that remaining portion. Their customer service is very rude and I would never ever recomend anyone to get a mortgage for a home through Vanderbilt you will never pay it off unless you pay the balance and once you sign the papers you will always be paying 5 times the value of the home in payments over the term of the loan it will cost you alot of money if you ever move the home. Please think twice before you buy a home through Vanderbilt mortgage you can read many poor reviews across the web and they say they will work with you and if you fall behind 2 months they will send you letters threatening to come and get the home and from that time on they will treat you like they own you after you settle where you were behind from being out of town and they have no option to make credit card payments to prevent that.
