As a beneficiary of an estate, I feel compelled to share my experience with WDS Associates Legal Services Ltd. Since the death of my aunt in 2019, we have been waiting for over four years for the estate to be administered. The UK probate court had issued a grant of probate in April 2020, but to this day, I have not received a final account or distribution of the remaining estate.
Your company’s address – WDS Associates Legal Services Ltd – is listed in both the Gazette (21.01.2020) and the Grant of Probate documentation in connection with the estate of my aunt.
In 2023, WDS informed me of an alleged fraud committed by a former employee. However, such an incident has no bearing on the obligation to distribute the estate to the rightful beneficiaries. The way WDS handled this situation has been and is still extremely disappointing and frustrating for me. Public financial records show that WDS continues to operate with a bank balance of nearly £200,000 and net assets of approximately £270,000.
In order to assert my rights, we were forced to hire both a German and a UK-based law firm – a significant effort and additional cost for our family living in Germany. The incomplete and lengthy estate account has also led to serious issues with the German tax authorities, which require a complete inheritance statement.
I wish my aunt had chosen a regulated law firm. As things are now, this is certainly not what she would have wanted.
With this review, I hope to help others make a conscious and informed decision when selecting a service provider for estate administration.
We have sent you an email.

Abim was very helpful and explained everything. Very friendly.
As a son of a beneficiary of an estate, I feel compelled to share our experience with WDS Associates Legal Services Ltd. Since the death of our relative in 2019, we have now been waiting for over four years for the completion of the estate distribution. The UK probate court had already issued a Grant of Probate in April 2020, but to this day, we have not received a complete account or the payout of the remaining inheritance.
In 2023, WDS informed us that there had been a fraud case involving a former employee. However, such an incident has no bearing on the obligation to distribute the estate to the beneficiaries. The way WDS handled this situation has been and continues to be extremely disappointing and frustrating for us. Public financial records show that WDS continues to operate – with a bank balance of nearly £200,000 and net assets of approximately £270,000.
To enforce our rights, we were forced to appoint both a German and an additional UK law firm – a significant effort and additional costs for us as a family living in Germany. The incomplete and lengthy estate accounting has also led to significant issues with the German tax authorities, who are requesting a full inheritance statement from us.
We would have greatly preferred if our relative had appointed a regulated law firm. The way things are currently proceeding, this was certainly not in her interest.
With this review, we hope to help others make a conscious and well-informed decision when choosing a service provider for estate administration.

I would urge anyone thinking of using this solicitors to pay particular attention to how they respond to their negative Google reviews and you will get a sense of exactly what type of character they have. Calling people liars, telling other they have never been a customer of theirs! Because people really want to waste their time leaving bad reviews for small fry solicitors that they've had no dealings with! The solicitors took a month to provide us with my mum's will because they said the person who dealt with wills was on holiday. Every single word of my review was the truth and they replied saying that I was lying. They even went on to say that there are several people who could have helped me had my attitude been better. I highly doubt the person who wrote that reply even spoke to me as I only ever got through to the secretary who was courteous to me just as I was to her. However, it seems the owner wants to suggest that they will refuse to do their job properly if they don't like your attitude. Take your business anywhere else - you'll regret it otherwise.
**Edit** The response below from the solicitors is just odd. I'm not even sure what they're attempting to say to be honest. I don't know what they mean by saying they don't use a Google platform. Every business is searchable via Google, as everyone well knows. Upon searching any business people can leave Google reviews, which everyone also knows. The response to my Google review, as well as many others, came from an account called 'WDS Associates LS Ltd (owner)' so I really have no idea what they are trying to pull with that reply. I think it speaks further to the honesty, or lack thereof, displayed by the company. People can see for themselves on Google in any case.
