Woolworths - the professional scammers.

We have been Woolworths customers for over 40 years..always did our weekly shop at Woolies. Now however after being "shafted" (many times) - they can take their Supermarket and shove it. Typically if something is on special you can guarantee its time expired or they have dug it out of storage and they KNOW its only good for a day or so. In the last two years we have experience:
- Cauliflower thats brown in the middle when you cut it
- Apples on special - brown in middle after 1 or two days
- Mandarins rotten after 3 days...the list is long.
Attached photo of Mandarins purchased last Wednesday ( 5/11/2025) at Charnwood Woolies and photo taken today (Saturday 8/11/2025). WE are totally sick of the thieving traits they foster. Paying Farmers 40c a kilo for potatoes and then charging $4 per kilo ..................really.....That another story for another day I guess. So Mr and Mrs Woolworths go shove your supermarket, your Rewards Card wherever it will fit.

Cancer product.

Woolworths and coles, I would suggest you are making enough profit. Without resorting to selling a Blatant cancer causing product at your front counters throughout Australia. Tobacco kills in excess of over 25 thousand Australians a year from cigarette related diseases. Come on Woolworths and coles concentrate on selling food not a Cancer causing product such as Tobacco at your front counters.

Olive deserves 0 stars

The AI could not understand even the simplest of questions. And when it tries to connect you to a person, it becomes unresponsive. Absolutely useless.

I needed milk.

I walked into Woolworths early, around 8, hoping i wouldn't run into any of the girls from my sister's book club. I thought that I'd only find old people.
I was right, but I was also wrong, not only did I find old people, but they were all war-hungry, fighting each other, food getting thrown everywhere, a hard potato hit me on the cheek.
My only goal is to find milk, so I walked to the dairy section. On the way, I walked through the fruit and vegetable aisle with my shopping cart. I had a craving for some avocados, so I made my way.
I was going through the avocados to see which ones were good enough to buy. That's when I I hear an old raspy voice, That's not ripe enough, darling".
It was a short old lady with an avocado ripeness chart in her cart. I put it along with the others and slowly backed up, that's when I spotted the watermelons, which had giant chunks of bites in it?
I ignored everything and headed straight for the dairy section, that's where i walked past the bread and remembered we needed some, I started grabbing at all the bread, they're all hard? the next one I grab? Yep, rough as a rock. An old lady with a mobility scooter, cart full of spaghetti cans, she starts throwing them at me, yelling "TIP TOP FOREVER", conveniently all the breads I've been grabbing were the Tip Top brand, I assumed she wanted all the bread, so I start throwing all the rock-solid Tip Top breads at her to defend myself.
I run to the milk, and grab two cartons, i make my way to the chocolate aisle for a cheeky snack, thats when i notice walking down the aisle, my mother in-law, with her two big dogs. "Denise! how are you", she responds in a sarcastic tone, "welp its been great knowing that my son ran away with a cheap woman like you". I stand and gasp. "Anyways, the boys were hungry so i got them their favourite meal, watermelons". I ask "can they eat watermelon?". She responds "silly girl, everyone should know dogs can eat watermelons". I grab a pack of freddo chocolates. "Hah, i knew a woman like you would have a pack of chocolates all to herself". I say "this is for the whole family.", "You better not be feeding my grandchildren those filthy cheap disgusting chocolates." she slaps the packet out of my hand, and hands me a 28 dollar bag of dark chocolates. i say "Thanks Denise, i really appriciate it". "Dont mention it doris! its good to know im still helping the kids even after my son told me to never interact with his family again after the wedding." I walk to the checkout to still see the chaos at the enterance.
The boy in the checkout seems to be young, newly hired, next to him i assumed was his manager, or whoever was incharge of teaching the new employees, he keeps on whispering into his ear, loud enough to hear, "Your doing it wrong, you selected the wrong thing, no not that one the other one" two minutes later the boy, just, snaps, "IM LEARNING OKAY, JEEZ JUST TELL ME WHAT TO DO INSTEAD OF MUTTERING YOU FISHY BREATH INTO MY EAR" the managr looks at me, then into my cart, and says "its okay lady go ahead its on us, sorry about this. i run straight to the car.

Horrible shopping experience.

Using AI for an interview, what a joke. Woolies you’re a laughing stock.

Like seriously what kind of terrible company uses AI for a dam interview, a money sucking no morals company that’s who.

I know this will never happen, but I seriously hope your business crashes and burns like the terrible company it is.

King Regards,

Woolworth mobile nightmare

I have a Woolworth mobile plan.

The only possible place to send them a message is under ‘complaints’

To enter your details is an absolute challenge eg program refused to accept date of birth until I entered it backwards.

I entered the following:
“ I’m currently overseas.
My physical cards were stolen.
ANZ advised me that automatic payments would continue.
As auto payment failed I tried to pay you directly.
Your AI is useless for this situation and there is nowhere that I can see that I can send you a message nor can I see where I could make a direct debit payment.
I suppose i will have to stay up till one am and pay a fortune in phone charges in order to sort this out.
Not a good look folks!
Now it won’t accept ‘submit’.
Could it be that I have not quite reach 100 words?
I have written all I need to say - I’m not really able to count the words so if you wont accept ‘submit now’ I shall recite ‘Mary had a Little Lamb’”

It refused the ‘submit’ button.

What a nightmare!

I wish I can give 0 star

I wish I can give 0 star. Stay away from them. Don't buy anything. They sell FAKE product.
I ordered cosmetic from their official website, but It was shipped from a Asian woman. To make matters worse, the packaging of the cosmetic bottle had completely fallen off.
I have the receipt, the order record, and the item, but they refuse to take any responsibility.

Terrible service. Fake goods. Stay away.

Hopeless customer service.

Tried merely to find out if woollies had a product I need straight away. No chance of finding that out with the Ai idiot bot that takes you into a constant loop. So asked for a human and they weren’t any better!
In fact after putting my details in yet again was told (after calling me by name ) that telling me what I needed to know was violating privacy rules and contact the supermarket
And gave me the address. They are utterly hopeless. More and more I am moving to local chemists farmers or green-grocers butchers or Harris Farm.
The supermarket who will soon be superseded

I am unhappy about the chicken thigh…

I am unhappy about the chicken thigh fillets I often purchase, and have had enough. It is the norm now, that whichever brand you buy, the thigh fillets are rolled up to disguise what is inside: lots of blood and fat. I think I’ll look elsewhere. Fillets should be trimmed of fat and clean of blood.

Wellington Woolworths

Wellington Woolworths, is poorly managed, the staff attitudes to customer service vary from average to rude, I have always been a Woolworths shopper but not any more. I have been in store numerous times to experience one check out operating, staff near by talking, recently when one person asked if the express lane would open shortly a staff member raised her voice and told him he was barred from the store.

MYDeal Takeover by Woolworths

Purchased a Enigma 30V Cordless Turbo Handheld Vacuum Cleaner Stick Handstick Vac 300W on line from My Deal, March 2024. Enquired to Woolworths re warranty (battery lasts about 5 min- Only used about 3 times a week). After about 1 hour on Chat with Woolworths sight they confirmed unit was still under warranty and twice sent me to MyDeal sight to resolve. No where there to state warranty issues only delivery problems current orders. Woolworths Chat advised calling back in 2-3 weeks when they may have more information on these issues since Woolworths takeover 30/9/25. HEY all customers out there the Enigma stick Vac - give it a miss and Why is Woolworths trying to evade warranty issues. My enquiry was closed by operator ( 1 of 3 with repeat info requests) - only above advice given. Big question mark for Woolworths concerning all MyDeal customers and Legal Warranty issues.

I’ve been going to Revesby Woolworths…

I’ve been going to Revesby Woolworths for the past few years and the female manager there is extremely unprofessional and rude
She can’t speak proper English and shows clear signs of favouritism to people that do speak her language
She barely does anything and stands around telling other people what to do, I was serviced by a lovely lady and the manager came up and asked a question in a very rude tone but you could barely understand what she said was trying to say but she was so demeaning and rude, after she asked the worker the question she rude make a remark and started speaking in her language to another lady
Really upsetting experience because you could see it visibly updated this lady who I have been going to for years, she has always been and amazing worker
