Woolworths unanderra is a very hostile environment. Management are very aggressive and unfortunately some of the staff have bad attitudes as a reflection of the management attitude. Judith the store manager and Todd the assistant manager especially rude and hostile. Dont shop there. Go to Dapto or Figtree instead much more friendly and approachable. Availability is shocking with online ordering too. They really need to sort that out ASAP.

Brilliant delivery in a storm.

Tuesday 22nd. July 2025. Fremantle WA.
Pouring rain, dreadful gusty weather, Woolies notification that our delivery would be late.
About five minutes late our Woolies delivery man was on the doorstep, soaking wet, with a big smile on his face!
And then Woolies sent us a $5 voucher to apologise for being late. Wonderful.
Only problem? Woolies customer contact IT is so complaint oriented that it was impossible to send them our compliments to the driver.
Also impossible to contact directly by phone or online in real time when only half an order was delivered a couple of weeks before.
Terrific people, but management by IT, service by Algorithm. Inflexible. Need real people for communication for anything not routine.

Poor service

Over 15 items not delivered mostly cold products. Sugar packet was already opened. Try to get refund and only automated phone service not real person. Spent ages on the computer trying to sort it out

Poor deliver to boot experiences

Have tried to make use of their deliver to boot service maybe 5 times. In 2 of these attempts, there have been problems with the Brickworks, Adelaide branch. First problem, no contact to say my order was ready. No one at the store answered the phone, I had to go down there and chase it up myself and wait for them to pick the order as it had been forgotten. Second time, a whole range of items was missed - $79 worth - including pantry items which were really needed. Won't use again.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service, standover tactics by the young man at the Click and Collect (Wangaratta) because I requested a damp cloth to clean up the spilt milk (packed incorrectly). When I wanted to send in a formal complaint, there was no mechanism for emailing a complaint (a formal complaint over the phone is not the same because it is not a written record), so I used the feedback line and there was no response until I finally chased down a higher up over a week later. The manager did apologise and say it would be incorporated into the staff training, but no apology from the staff member involved because "staff safety was their paramount consideration". I am a 5ft tall 60-year-old woman and he was a big, burly young man. I was made to feel unsafe, and I also feel like Woolworths just did not care. Have shopped there for several years and will never again.

Poor Customer Service

Hi,

I must say that there are staff at Mountain Creek Woolworths store who are always helpful, kind and go out of there way to help you. I shop there every day.

However, today was different.

I went to purchase items for work this afternoon, asked the checkout person for a SubTotal, and then to continue with my personal purchases. Checkout girl told me she didn't know how to do this. She then asked another checkout guy, he also didn't know how to do it. I then asked for the Store Manager. She came, also didn't know how to do it. She then told me she had been at the store for 7 years and never been asked for a SubTotal.
I know that I know there are staff at this store who know how to do this. I purchase items for work every fortnight and have never ever had a problem with getting a subtotal.
I am now waiting on a response from Woolworths.

I am very disappointed in my online shopping. I have a $10.00 on my rewards card. Spend more than I would actually visiting Woolworths but. I can't, lost my licence through a medical condition, can barely walk and big balance problem. Saturday the 5th July. I spent $108 online order and I never got the $10.00 off which I think is pretty sad and I should be able too use my rewards card online. Milk Run I go through.

Jut bought a roast chicken and had to use a magnifying glass to find it in the bag. It was so tiny - definitely a bantam chook and they still charged $12.50 for it.
1 chook would last for 1 day with chicken and chips then day 2 we would make Pad Thia and still had left overs for 2 sandwiches.
Forget about the pad Thai and only 1 of us can have a thin sandwich.
Never buying a chook from Woolies again.

I usually shop at Woolworths for the convenience and variety, but I’ve recently been disappointed with the quality of the meat products. On multiple occasions, I’ve purchased packaged meat (both beef and chicken) that appeared fresh on the outside, only to find discolouration, an unusual smell, or poor texture upon opening at home—well before the use-by date.

Quality and freshness are especially important when it comes to meat, and unfortunately, these issues have made me hesitant to rely on Woolworths for this part of my grocery shopping. I hope Woolworths can review their packaging and quality control processes to ensure customers receive consistently fresh products.

I still appreciate many other aspects of the store, but I would encourage improvements in this area.

52 Pickup, but with shopping

The Woolies in Balmain may have excellent products and I experienced decent service, BUT, the store layout was incredibly confusing. Short aisles, labels everywhere, no discernable sense or pattern or flow. And all the aisles looked the same. In other words the space was too broken up. The only straight lines where your eyes could rest were the self-serve pack up and checkout counters. Even the human checkout operators were in the middle of a row of self-serve machines, and barely discernable. A giant mess!! I couldn't get out of there fast enough, and with only half my shopping done. Anyone with a brain that requires some order and sensible guidance in decision making will run screaming out of there. Do not go into this store if you have Autism or any sensory overload issues.

Woolworths - big miss!wo weeks ago I purchased a bottle of…

Two weeks ago I purchased a bottle of Ribena from the Southport Store at the (Nont on special) cost of @5.00. Today I went to buy another 3 bottles only to find the price (same with the Bickfords on the shelf at the same price of $5.00) all now $7.44, that is a 50% rise. Complained at front desk and was curtly told they did not set the prices. What is the use of complaining? Not a thing getrs done. No wonder people are living in poverty in this "lucky Country"!

I purchase 1kg bagged carrots to make vegetable juice. I have done that for years. Lately I have noticed that bagged carrots from Woolworths develop a slimy feel after I place them in water to wash before juicing. This has been happening for weeks and only now did it occur to me to complain.

Tagging along now and then

When I grew up we mostly shopped at Woolies but I've drifted off'em over the years. Since the early 2000s cheaper options have rocked up and to be honest, I reckon my family got ripped off in the '90s when it was just Woolies and Coles running the show. Still, sometimes I tag along with the missus since she's a fan. It's all good. They're alright now.

New orange bag

Woolworth have bought out an orange bag shaped like a carrot which replaces their original one. The old bags where fantastic. They roll up very easily and fit in your handbag. They were $1. With the new ones you can't roll them up. They are bulky and very difficult to use. They cost $2. What is wrong with the person who decided the change would be a good idea. Maybe they need to ask their clients for their opinion. Very bad idea

No Refunds with a receipt - Absolutely disgraceful !!

Absolutely disgraceful, that Woolworths is the only major retailer in Australia to enforce a no change of mind policy. They refuse even with a receipt to give you your money back. Disgusting. They sell items beyond food, but have the arrogance to say no refund, go spend your money in the store only. As if we don't spend enough and regularly. Whoever enforced that rule should be sacked. It might make your bottom line look better in the short term, but in the long term having such atrocious disrespectful customer service to regular customers, will see this company go down hill in the future. They think they are being smart, but they are actually creating long term business suicide. I know every company will take my money, but I watch to see if I return something how they treat me. Woolworths, you have a bad egg at the top of your food chain, with ZERO knowledge of customer service!! You think your customers don't notice, they certainly do !
