We had the most disturbing experience…

We had the most disturbing experience with one of the tutors who started sending us abusive texts because they couldn't agree ti to the pre-agreed arrangements.
Just a few hours before the first class, we got last minute texts sto rearrange the location of the class and when we did not agree to the change and raised it with Apprentus the abusive texts continued.

What's even more shocking is that despite sharing all the texts and requesting for a refund, we haven't had a single call from thr company to check in let alone get a refund.

The company charges an additional.fee for the first time you book a tutor. In this case, the said teacher was the first teacher ee booked through the site. So we have been charged for the tuition we never had a service which has been extremely poor.

Despite reminding Apprentus of the refund we have heard nothing.

It's been a truly disappointing and shocking service. The quality of the tutors and the service is highly questionable!!!

Credits expired but no email sent to…

EDIT: My credits were reinstated and I was able to use them. Changed my review due to quickly addressing and fixing the issue. If anyone else has the same problem please contact them, they seem to respond very fast.
ORIGINAL: Credits expired but no email sent to remind me about it. I understand that you can have certain policies but this absolute nonsense. No effort made to contact the customer and now I lost the whole amount because of a lack of transparency by you guys.

Apprentus is a friendly, easy to use and useful platform that connects you to great tutors of various skills like English language tuition worldwide. Clear, transparent with a caring and problem solving customer service team! I would recommend this site to anyone as my own personal experience in using it has been pleasant.

I like this website

I like this website. It takes care of everything from the booking to the payment. Payments are sent to my bank account once the lessons confirmed done on my agenda. Highly recommend it for teachers suffering from students who decide not to show up with no consequences!

for 2 times I had lesson with students…

for 2 times I had lesson with students but not money has been received. How is this working? It is saying that student payed and the lesson is confirmed but no money entry. This happen one time in October and now ti happen again
I guess this is just a big scam. I spent my time to organize and meet and teach and the student pay but they just keep the money. there is not way to contact them. You are a scam and monopolize the relationship between tutors and student.

No privacy

The workers are reading each message you exchange with your student. They block some of the messages and respond very rudely.

Needless scammy website

Apprentus created a profile for me, adds money onto my lesson price and makes the student pay said extra...

Surely, I should just increase my lesson price?!!!
Why should students pay over my usual and fair lesson price to line the pockets of the owners of this uselss and scammy platform?!

Apprentus is uses hard-working professionals existing businesses to try and skim money, devaluing both the lessons worth by needlessly increasing the price, but also the credibility and reputation of the teacher.

Upon trying to delete this unwanted account, I can't find any way to!

UPDATE:
They did reply with instructions of how to close the account...
In French!

It looks like they're an English based company.
All my details, including all my contact to them has always been in English, even though I'm based in Berlin, Germany.
So, French?

These guys so totally suck.

Misleading (NEVER GOT MY REFUND)

I paid for the first 5 lesson under the promise that I wouldnt be charged the subscription fee and that I would get my money back if I dindt like the lessons or if something went wrong.

What they dont mention is that the money will be give back in credits on the platform and that they will deduct the subscription fee for any amount left.

My teacher moved to another country, a last minute decision according to her, and when I tried to get a refund of the remaining balance they refuse to pay the full amount.

BS. This website is a scam, and misleads people.

Teacher

As a teacher, I chose to work through apprentus for the safety it provides to me when a new student reaches out, and the rules are very clear if you spent the time to actually read them. I am a professional teacher so I know what applies, and I find it fair. I do have a small issue with the messaging, through. The messages take a long time to come, and then I reply immediately but it seems my messages take long too. Meanwhile the student might change their mind or find another teacher, which is really bad for me who does this full time. Also, my profile shows a very slow response to messages, but that's inaccurate. The customer service from apprentus is always good, but also takes a bit of time as well. Overall, I wish that this site expands more and solves these issues and it should be the best experience for both teachers and students.

Poor user unfriendly website.

Poor user unfriendly website.

This website does not work as expected, appointments disappear randomly, although they were confirmed minutes ago, rendering in a situation where no one knows (teacher & student) when the next lesson takes place.

Next is the poor navigation in the whole website.
All information of importance should be centered in one location, that's not the case.

Although it looks tempting at first glance, in practice it's a poorly executed platform.

No transparency at all!

They asked me if I wanted to teach for them and told me it was "completely free" for teachers. After a long search I found that students have to pay a commission, but they didn't want to tell me how that worked, so they are lying: they take some unknown part of the students money, which is the same as a commission for the teacher. I read here that they also charge a "membership fee" without saying that in advance. If they wanted to be transparent, they could say "We charge 10%, or we charge a monthly fee of..." or something like that, but they have no transparency at all and I absolutely don't like that.

What a lousy and expensive experience

What a lousy and expensive experience. Booked a package of 5 piano lessons and faced poor communication from the teacher, starting with incorrect address for the location of the lesson, and surprise cancellation charges when I asked to reschedule a lesson time. On top of this zero support from Apprentus. The teacher can apparently make up their own charges, and no where in the booking process does Apprentus make these charges clear. So I have ended up paying Euro 110 for one very mediocre lesson.

I used the website for the first time and booked a piano lesson. The teacher never arrived. She has now even deleted her profile page. Not even sure if this is a genuine company.

I am very happy and feel fortunate to have been given the opportunity to have drawing lessons through your very efficient company by Sahand Saher from Bruxelles.
I am learning so much of technic and at the same time I enjoy the ability to express my personal perspective.
