Do NOT use this company

Banfield is a complete and total scam. They do not care about you or your pets needs. They are severely understaffed with actual Veterinarians and the front desk staff has abysmal customer service. I tried to cancel my plan 5 months and couldn’t, and it has been to expensive to pay them and another vet. 1/6/23 I had to pay an additional $250 for lab fee and was told I’d have the results 24 hours later. As of today I’ve called at 10 am left on hold for 15 min and 3:00 pm left on hold for 25 min just to explain the same situation over and be told they might have the results on Wednesday. My puppy was sent home with NO CARE plan to even help alleviate the problem. And to make matters worse they’re also charging me extra for simparica trio that I should have two left of. As a first time pet parent who didn’t know any better this has been beyond frustrating. Please head the warnings- DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO BANFIELD. These reviews are all true!

Edit 3/3/2023

In addition to my review above, I have now been charged for an additional month of payment. I was told by the customer service rep that my 1st months payment was just a membership "fee" and that I still owed for February, even though I am no longer using- or able to use the services. (Not that I would, I've had to find my dog another vet while still injuring these charges).

I was also told bye this rep that they could not offer me a refund because "the services that I used were expensive and would have been double the normal retail price." Inquiring that I used more of the services that normal or necessary - even tho I am PAYING for a wellness plan to cover this.

This company is CRAP. Please listen to us on this site. DO NOT USE BANFIELD.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE.
I cannot put into words how disappointed and angry I am with this joke of an animal clinic. This place is a complete sham and they are not conducting the exams and treatment they claim to be doing. I sincerely encourage pet owners to take their pets elsewhere.

We recently left Banfield and began going to District Vet due to concerning treatment and service (or lack thereof) received at Banfield. Upon taking her to District Vet, we were informed of several health issues with our cat that had never been mentioned in our two years taking our cat to Banfield – notably a tumor that was found and severe gingivitis which we were advised has become so bad that we must schedule tooth extraction. District Vet identified these issues in one visit consisting of a routine physical exam – why these were not identified through the routine physical exams at Banfield (that they claim to be doing) in the years we’ve been going there, I have no idea. Based on this and several other recent issues, I’m convinced these exams have not been happening at all.

I’m under the impression that this animal clinic is not actually conducting thorough pet exams / treatment. The fact that you still have to schedule an appointment time, yet drop your pet off for a full day is beyond me. I understood this during covid but I think this is being used as a way to get as many pets in as possible, without following through with proper exams, just to bring in the $$.

Beyond the issues mentioned above, it took us a week to simply get any information as to what exams/treatments occurred during her most recent visit. I followed up every single day for a week until I finally got to speak with the vet and view the medical summary. Per the medical summary finally provided, I saw that several tests we requested were blatantly not completed. When I asked why, they said she was “too fussy”, yet I was still charged for the visit. There were several inconsistencies in their responses to this and my other questions, leading me to believe I believe this was a flat out lie. I suspect that they just did not get around to doing it because we went to go pick her up at closing time she “wasn’t ready” leading us to think she had been sitting at the clinic all day without being looked at until we were there to pick her up. On top of all this, our cat has been dealing with a reoccurring ear infection for years – this place has no intention of identifying the underlying issue and what's causing it, but simply charging us for continuous labs and ear drop medications to "treat".

I was clearly upset about all of the above, and was told that the regional manager (or some title to that effect) would follow up with me – never got a call. These people clearly do not give a sh!t about your pets.

If you’ve made it this far, hopefully you’re convinced to do yourself and your pet a favor and not step foot in this establishment. Beyond helping fellow pet owners, I’m hoping this triggers some kind of a response from Banfield, because calling and emailing has gotten me nowhere, HA.
