Poor delivery service

1st order - website allowed me to place the order and pay - over 2 weeks later still no delivery, checked my account apparently the item was still "awaiting despatch", contacted customer services and they said the item was now out of stock and they would process a refund - if I hadn't contacted them would they have got in touch?
2nd order - still waiting on item being despatched after 5 days - how come other companies can over free next day delivery but Barratts struggle to deliver within a week when they charge £4??

Disapponted

Boots arrived with hard object protruding through sole over heel. Phoned customer services they were unsympathetic blaming the issue on their suppliers. Would not provide refund until boots were returned meaning I had to either print collect plus label and drop off at collection point or pay postage via post office. They didn't seem in the least bit bothered I was inconvenienced by their poor service and have two young children making it hard to drop off parcels. They gave me £5 credit off future orders which I explained is no good to me as I won't be ordering from them again. Still waiting for refund has been over a week.... Used to order from barrats a lot but they seem to have gone seriously down hill - boots looked cheap and nasty have had much better from them in the past.

Stay well clear - nonexistent customer service

I ordered two pairs of boots well over ten days ago. I was sent a link three days after I made my order with a tracking link for my parcel. The number provided by Barratts was wrong and I was unable to track my supposed parcel. After five days I rang to call about my parcel and explain that I was unable to track it due to an inaccuracy. The lady on the phone was extremely rude, said that the courier had called two days previously ( they had not as no calling card was left). She said she'd look into the whereabouts of my parcel and call me back within 24 hours. I'm still waiting!!! I've rang again on numerous occasions and left messages to request a refund, no one ever answers the phone, it goes directly to voicemail. I have even emailed requesting a refund or explanation, but have had no response to this either!
Please don't give your money to these people as there is a large chance you will ever see your order or money again! Stay well clear...

Poor Service

I had ordered some mens shoes at the end of July for my partner and after being sent the wrong order the first time and then returning the item and asking for the correct order to be sent, my patience ran out and I asked for a full refund well we are now at the end of September and this still hasn't been resolved!

Poor service all the way through and will never use again.

School shoes

Ordered shoes for school , too small , returned & received bigger size within the week, very good service. Shoes haven't been worn as yet , so unsure about longevity , but quality seems good for price paid.

lack of /insufficient communication

Twice I placed orders with Barratt & on each occasion there were issues with communication. On the 1st occasion after waiting over a week & not hearing anything about delivery I sent a mail to enquire what was going on only to get a response a few days later that the courier had returned the goods to the depot because they only keep items for 5 days. No explanation given as to what happened.
On the 2nd occasion, no delivery email received as on the previous occasion. Then an item was not delivered and no explanation given 'again'. It wasn't until I sent 2 mails enquiring as to what the situation was that I was informed the supplier no longer had the item.

Very poor service.

Ordered a pair of boots as a present. After 10 days I had not received the item so I email a request for an update, I received no reply. Paypal contacted me to inform me my money for the boots had been refunded. I have received no communication to explain what happened. Extremely poor no existent service.

Disappointed

First time I have used barratts I was sent the wrong colour sandals and when I rang their customer services I was told they would send me a link so I could return them but I was not sent the link so I returned them 1st class signed. I was told there were plenty left in the colour I had ordered so ordered them and then that order was cancelled , I rang and asked why they were cancelled and they said they do not have that colour now I am so disappointed and I have not received the postage for the pair I sent back even though it was barratts who sent me the wrong ones.

Platform shoes

Recently ordered from Barratts but unfortunatley had to return the shoes because they were too high. Little did I realise that you have to pay for your own returns! I will not be ordering from Barratts again.

DIDN'T DELIVER WITHIN 48 HRS AS PAID & DIDN'T CALL BACK TO REMEDY AS PROMISED

Order placed Weds daytime. £3.99 upgrade paid for 48 hour delivery. Order needed for event on Friday. 1 pair of shoes out of 3 was delivered on Fri. The delivery driver advised he had no other packages for me.

I telephoned Barratts on the contact number on the enclosed invoice. The number was no longer in use and required redial. Another anasphone advised to leave a message. Approx 1 hour later a person called back and advised she would check the whereabouts of my remaining order and ring me back. She didn't.

The remaining order arrived on Monday.

Seriously disappointed at the unprofessionality and inefficiency of such a large company; from the non-delivery of a paid service, continuing to use out of date stationery causing further inconvenience and failing to resolve the problem, call back as promised or offer any recompense for a service not received. Extremely poor & shoddy service which can't be trusted.

Good service, poor shoes

Ordering the shoes was a simple process and they were delivered in good time. The shoes looked nice and seemed comfortable. However, the heel collapsed into the shoe after only a few days of walking on them.

Could not pay for an order with a card - had to use PayPal

Tried to order from the site. Everything went really smooth until I needed to pay for the order. For every card I (and others in my family) tried, we got a message about it being unable to process. It was the same for various cards and addresses.

Contacted Barratt's by phone, and they were very courteous. However, they were also unable to execute the payment from my card. They said that SagePay was the reason, and that there was nothing they could do about it.

Not one person from Barratt's suggested using PayPal instead. However, when I did that of my own volition, the order went through smoothly.

Overall, it was not an easy process, and it took over a week to finally get an order accepted.

Disappointing

I am really disappointed with the service that I had. I ordered 2 pairs of shoes which I needed for the races and a school bag and 1 pair of shoes came which are unsuitable and which I have to pay for postage back.

I have shopped in Barratts lots over the years and this has put me off.
