We were excited and looking forward to the BIg Bus tour in London a few weeks ago.

20 mins into our journey the intercom broke down and we were told we had to change buses. 20 mins later another bus arrived which was completely full and we were then told we would then have to wait for another bus! We were completely fed up at this stage as we had missed a lunch reservation and asked for a refund.
We were then informed that we would have to contact customer services to arrange this.

2 WEEKS IN AND I HAVE EMAILED NO LESS THAN 5 TIMES, CHATTED ON THEIR FORUM AND STILL NO REFUND. AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!

I would give this Zero Stars if I could, terrible Service !!

I've rated this company 2* because on the day I travelled, only one of the ten buses running had live commentary. The live commentary I heard was brilliant and that part of our experience was worth 5*, but without the live commentary (he got off as his shift had ended) it's a 2* experience as the prerecorded commentary is very poor and totally not worth the cost (you might as well just get on a normal bus and travel round London for way less money).

Wow where do I begin! I had a wowcher that included a river Thames cruise and the driver did not put it on my ticket even though I reminded him. The bus times was not 30 mins apart and when the buses arrived it was over crowded! I had my two children with me and they didn't enjoy aswell especially the overcrowded buses. When we got to the river the attendant there showed me that the river cruise was not on my ticket, but he was so kind to let us on the cruise anyway. I have been on two other bus companies tours and this one was by far the worse.

Outrageous!!!! Purchased the 2 days tickets for Big Bus + 3 London Explorer Pass, for over £200 which meant I could add 3 more attractions to go to. I have been sent a list of attractions to choose from, we decided to go with London Eye and The Dungeons London. When we arrived in London and tried to enter the Dungeons, our tickets didn't work. After half an hour on the phone, they sent me an email saying I have to go and collect it from London Reception Centre which opens till 4:30. After wasting my limited time looking for their office I finally got there, just to see that the office was closed!!!! When I called the company again they told me, unfortunately due to pandemic we can not choose London Eye and Dungeon!!!! Why couldn't you tell me that before? Why did you include those attractions in a list to choose from? Why did you make me walk for half an hour with kids to look for a closed office if I wouldn't get those tickets anyway?????How easy it is to blame everything to pandemic!! If I knew those attractions were not available, I would never purchased this package. We literally paid over £200 for sight seeing!!! I requested for a refund and got a familiar response: Due to pandemic, please wait for 7-10 working days!!!. Don't bother with this company. I have used different sightseeing tour companies and they were brilliant!!!

I purchased 3 bus tickets and my credit card was charged. The website had an error once I clicked to confirm my purchase which caused me to never receive the tickets. I tried to contact Big Bus Tours but they never responded. I even contacted my credit card company, Chase, and filed a dispute but they did not assist which has shocked me. I never took the tour because I obviously never got the tickets. This is very upsetting. I just want others to know and beware. I just wanted my money back because I paid for a service that was never used.

Bought the tickets in order to do a tour the same day. Showed up at a bus stop, with two later buses that would come through, and were told we would not be able to do the full tour as the bus would terminate at a stop that would be halfway through the route fromt he point we'd start. Since we couldn't do the full lap, we enquired in a refund which is being refused.

Total scam with lack of sincerity, clarity and responsibility. Use another provider or walk around and Google each highlight you see around you instead.

Don't waste your time. It's better to take a walk then use this company bus tours.

Firstly my review is based on the misleading information provided by a representative to purchase the two day ticket as they operate four bus routes around Central London and provide the walking tour & secondly my view on there handling of COVID-19.

I wanted to provide my newly Fiancée the best experience of London so I folked out the £200 asking price to do everything over two days, the best ticket they had to offer with zero prompts what I was about to buy they couldn't offer!

Upon arrival at Southbank (Westminster) I was then informed only one bus route was operating and also the walking tour had been cancelled!

Being a good citizen I said not to worry, surely they'll refund me the difference as I no longer need a two ticket and also the walking tour had been cancelled.

But no, they haven't! And refuse to even let me and my Fiancée have one free day pass to take at another time!

I think the way my complaint was handled was massively out of order and feel extremely ripped off. At a time when the economy is just bouncing back, people like us going out and putting our good earned money into the economy should not have to experience moments like this.

I hope this review reaches enough people to make them see the error of there ways and hopefully just hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I wouldn't recommend using this company based on my experience, I'm a local guide on Google for Cumbria The Lake District so my review on there platform will reach thousands of people, here I'm not so sure.

Tried to cancel tickets as we are no longer able to travel due to COVID-19. Unlike all other tour groups i have been dealing with through this crisis - they say they have no refund policy and the tickets are valid for 6 months - so visit another time! I live in Australia, bought tickets for London! Not getting there anytime soon.
Poor customer service! Would not recommend them...

Sadly I’ve had a disgusting experience with this company. Myself and my young family were only allowed to travel two stops over the whole day before being thrown off because despite having a valid ticket, which cost over €113 and was bought on the same day (dated), I misplaced the receipt we were given when we first got on the bus. Disgusting. Spoilt our day and special weekend in Rome. Please avoid, there are other companies out there with more compassion.

The tour and itineraries were nice but we found very little organisation specially in the beginning of the tour, when we arrived to the first station close to the Ritz Hotel there was an absolute chaos of people waiting, no specific queues nor indications so there was people getting in the bus without any order and not respecting other's turn, makes it difficult as well when you are a big group or there's children involved.
Our suggestion would be to have someone organising a queue system at least on that first station as we found we started the day with more turbulence that we ideally would've hoped for.

We purchased a 3 day access tickets. The first day was fine. The second day, we waited for over an hour and bus never showed up. We walked to the next stop waited for another 10 minutes and no bus showed up. This is a disappointing experience. We paid $100 for 3 day access and cannot even use them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

We were extremely disappointed in the hop on hop off tour in London. We waited at a stop for over 45 minutes waiting for a bus to come through but none ever came. We walked to another stop to wait for another 10 minutes but a bus still never arrived. The company advertises that it is a 15-20 minute wait so over an hour is unacceptable, especially when buses from other companies were able to reach the stops.

The worst tour guides I’ve ever encountered. Very rude and racist!!! And this goes to the red line big bus tour the stoped in Marble Arch at 17:30 on 26/11/19. The manager who was a black lady and the tour guide. I think they have to realise that they are representing not only the bus company but also the whole country. I’m from here and I was so embarrassed to my visitors whom I have to tour in London with this company. Because of this the end of our tour was very very disappointing. First time to use this bus tour and compared to other bus tours, this is the worst experience ever. I highly NOT recommend this.

not worth the money, better walking tours around

Great for sightseeing in London when you have a limited amount of time to spend.

Great day around London . I went on two bus routes the Red and Orange route. Travelled on the boat from Tower Bridge to Westminster Pier. Ear bud earphones where provided on the Bus. Lots to see commentary was good on the bus

Has good tour guards but few get tired and don't can't give ys the history needed.

Most of the drivers and staff went out of their way to help. Maybe one driver not so friendly. We used you in New York, London 2 years ago, Washington DC and are using you in Rome. Love the fact you are in so many places. The walking tour guide Joe was particularly good at getting us to see the Changing of the Guard.
