I flew out with my wife and child with Biman Bangladesh Airlines on the 10/04/22 (Dep:18:20) and during check-in in outbound (terminal 3) I had an issue regarding some of my documents & visa papers. (I didn’t have the correct documents etc ready for when I would land in sylhet) and the Biman staff there in terminal 3 Heathrow were very helpful. One of the Biman airline workers a man by the name of Sunan Chowdhury was very helpful and went out of his way to assist me. Even the manager/s there that moment were very helpful. All the staff that day just made things easy for me and my family. They are a good team.
Very angry
Very angry, I booked a flight only cause they fly direct from sylhet to Manchster
On the 8/05/22 my mum was meant to fly from Bangladesh (keep in mind she doesn’t speak English or know how to use a smart phone) when I booked the ticket I gave my number and email address
She get to sylhet airport and gets told the flight left a day early and apparently they message all the passengers. So I challenged one of the officers in sylhet airport then he goes to me we only get in touch with passengers, so I said how do you no The number I provided it’s not the passengers number and guess what,! a lier does what they’re good at cuts me off, it’s a very disgusting behaviour, biman charges more than other airlines and yet they treat the customers like that. Now my mum has to wait 2 days before she can fly so what was the point of booking the ticket on specific date if they are going to change the date with out even notifying the customer. And then lie about it, I never use biman and I will never use them it’s a waste money on a bulshit airline. And I will advise to who ever thinks of doing it aswell, it’s a airline who will put you in a situation rather than help you out of one. You don’t need that headache trust me
Very Poor Service
I was being served at G14, by a lady at 16:30pm on 25th March 2022. I am very disappointed with the lady unprofessionalism and the way she spoke to me and my family.
My luggage was kind of 2 kilo above the requirement, so she told me to take some stuffs out. However, I agreed and I understand the protocol of the requirement. As it was just 2 kilo, I decided to take it out at the check-in area. As I was with a disabled elder (aged - 75yrs), I did not want to leave the desk as my grandmother has been on her feet for a long time and has several health issues . She has some problems on her right knee, diabetic and has high blood pressure.
The lady served us was arrogant and unprofessional and most outrageous customer service.
The previous passenger served by her before us was allowed to take over 4 kilo extra. I over heard them while standing in the queue and I had only 2 kilo. The previous passenger did not pay extra fee. I believe the lady was racist and she kept on laughing, which escalated the situation. She told us to move the baggage or she will leave the ticket and go. A friendly guy who worked at that Heathrow helped us and tried to solve the situation. Hats off to the guy. He knows how rude she was and he agreed that he did not like her service,attitude and behaviour and how wrong she was. He also told us he is waiting for the desk to be clear so he can have a word and he will report her too.
Due to the unprofessionalism, I have taken videos and image of her, as no name was disclosed.
I would like her manager "Samir" to take action against her because she is the face of the service for Biman and Dnata.

The experience travelling to with this airline was okay aside from the fact that the journey was prolonged by over 2 hours, but the experience back on with airline was absolutely disgusting the crew were very dismissive, also one of the other passengers essentially threatened a baby but the crew and their management took his side as "he felt threatened" becuase the family of the baby were not having it as they should so they gave them some type of a warning and put the guy in business class. Whilst this was going on the same crew were also having another altercation with another mother and her baby, these two incidents speak volumes about the type of people they hire and how they train them. For people working on hospitatility it is purely disgusting -I would rate this less if I could.
Ali's service was impeccable
I decided to book my mother a ticket to Sylhet. Unfortunately, I put the wrong dates on the form and purchased the wrong date.
Ali was impeccable in his service and when I called him to resolve it, he did it immediately.

TL:DR - Utter rubbish, save your money and go for something cheaper if you want to save yourself suicidal thoughts whilst on this flight (the emergency exit looked ever so appealing).
The only reason i use biman is to go directly to sylhet as i have health issues and want to minimize my travel time.
The flights with biman are never on time and they make us sit in the airplane for 40 minutes to an hour before flying which is not good if you have problems sitting for long periods. This flight was a 30 minute wait thankfully. The food served was 5 hours apart which left us starving, with no snacks. Now, onto the food they served. They were childrens portions. There were no condiments to go with bread. The size of the tray itself was what i see on other airlines for CHILDREN. We were all starving. I am a diabetic, so this wasa big issue for me, thankfully I had brought some snacks but others were not so lucky. When they walked around to serve tea & coffee, they ignored everyone with their hands up and walked by in a rush, seeming to not want to serve us anything. I asked the flight attendant why she was doing this and she replied ''just because you ask, does that mean i have to give it to you?'' then she laughed snarkily as if I was a beggar asking for pennies. I told her i paid for this flight so i am entitled to everything they have to offer, she laughed snarkily again then served the tea (sadly, the tea was disgusting and not worth the effort). Every other flight attendant was rude like this too.
My flight was at 6:15 on 20/11/2021. The reason i say this is because i hope biman bangladesh reads this review and vets their flight attendants.
Furthermore, there are supposed to be 2 toilets cubicles. The last time i took a biman flight was 2 years ago and there were 2 cubicles. Now there is JUST one????? The wait to use the loo had us all in bladder pain. This is a serious health concern.
Emirates is much better and for a much lower price. I highly recommend travelling with emirates to dhaka as the reduced travel time with biman is not worth it in the slightest.
I recommend that this airline be shut down completely as customer service is appalling. The flights are ridiculously expensive for the worst service i have ever experienced, money down the drain. Who vets the flight attendants? Is just ANYONE allowed to work for biman? Does biman even pay their flight attendants enough? It seems as though they are all extremely unhappy and have no will to work. I have never in the past 25 years of flying experienced this complete and utter rubbish.

This is the worst airline ever, the counter staff are scum, they lie to you and sell you a tickets then charged me £100 extra for extra luggage which was supposed to be included. We asked to have the names and details to make a formal complaint against the staff working to which they declined and said Bangladesh airline staff doesn't provide names of staff for complaints. The plane was disgusting and smells like wee.

I despise Biman Bangladesh Airlines with a passion! I love Bangladesh but I hate Biman Bangladesh Airlines. However, if you want a direct flight to and from Sylhet to the UK, there is no other choice. Biman is the only DIRECT flight to Sylhet. I dread the journey each time.
Imagine my surprise when on Nov 10 2021 ZYL-LHR trip was one of the best trips ever!
I was returning with my elderly mother and was apprehensive from the start as I feared she would be inconvenienced and I would be accosted from every angle by the bandits at Sylhet Osmani Airport because I had a vulnerable passenger with me.
Instead I was welcomed with a wheelchair for my mother at the main gates and a young lad who pushed her all the way to the aircraft. We were put into a 'priority' lane for baggage check in and taken to the upstairs lounge where we had tea and food.
The Biman crew members were polite and efficient on this flight and the seats were reasonably comfortable. On this flight, there were no drunk passengers or other troublesome East Londoni / 'innit brah' crowds and was in all aspects an enjoyable flight.
I look back on this flight with fondness and am grateful at how smooth and well it went all the way form the gates at Sylhet Osmani to LHR. I can only hope that future flights are as good.

Staff have little patience, and worse they lie.
Paid for a baby cot for 4month old. Asked stewardess for cot, she said the cots in the cargo hold, and cannot be accessed now.
Spoke to a co-pilot, who got the cot out of luggage rack in the cabin & set it up in 2 minutes.
The entire experience from checking in to use of Dhaka Airport is a nightmare - with fear for one's & one's families safety.
Heathrow to Sylhet
Heathrow to Sylhet, Autumn 2019. Queueing at LHR, the Biman or বেইমান (dishonest) rep managing the queue simply yelled out 'oi' or 'hello go to the line' and pointed to the travellers waiting in the worst laid out line in the world! Upon boarding the flight, there was the traditional 30-45 mins delay. But things got better in mid flight.. ONLY KIDDING! When I pressed for assistance for a spare blanket, the attendant never turned up, so the cold just passed and I warmed up and thought lets ask for a drink. So I pressed the button again, eventually an attendant came and told me that I should walk to the food serving area, unusual I though, but I went anyway. Once I was there, another scruffy looking attendant (don't judge me, ask anyone, but presentation matters in hospitality) simply pointed to a half used 1 litre bottle of coke and some plastics cups and did not even have to say "help yourself". You can be an ugly mug but it's no excuse to have your trouser leg scraping beneath your shoe!
There are the usual shenanigans on the way back from Sylhet (such as being dragged out of bed at 6am for a 4pm flight) and the traditional 4-6 hour delay. Bangladeshis (I don't say Sylhetis because people living in other parts of Bangladesh suffer from the same level of incompetence) living abroad need to BOYCOTT this shambolic excuse of an airline. The authorities will not open up the route to other airlines as Biman will end up going bankrupt!
Entertainment was 'OK', a couple of good movies kept me from being depressed on the flight, food was standard.

i have used the Biman Airline recently for some flights between Dhaka and Chittagon. I was surprised by the very good service.
air hostess bad behaviour unfriendly
All aunties are government job holders all are 40+ my complain not for that. Last time they didn't excuse 1KG extra baggage. They charged 50USD for that .than I was requested for water she said "this not time for water you will get we give" with no smile, angry mode always. than my co- passenger offer me his water.
Bad service for higher prices
Bad service for higher prices. Poor customer service, rude attitude from biman’s airport staffs. Worst ever service when flying from Sylhet to London through one night in Dhaka: Never take it. Either take the flight from Dhaka or use another airline. Average good.
Traveled 3 times with Biman last year…
Traveled 3 times with Biman last year and found out their remote controls are broken seats and screen dirty. Not once but 3 times I’ve travelled. Last visit me and 2 friends went all 3 screens were not working. I complained to Biman have have not had a response as of yet and it’s been over 3 months now so I’ll be taking my complaint further now.
