We are the new owners of the business, the previous owners went into liquidation and unfortunately failed to fulfil orders placed by their customers (hence the negative reviews on trustpilot). We have been in the dog training business for 35 years and can offer free help and advice by email or phone, just contact us if you need help with your dog or advice on picking a suitable product. British Dog supply the UK's leading range of dog training equipment, types of electronic remote dog trainers, electric dog collars, invisible radio dog fences, electric radio dog fences or spray and static shock collars to stop dogs barking. From Petsafe, Canicom, Dog Trace and SportDog, we are not committed to just one brand allowing us to offer objective advice across the range.

Very disappointed as I still haven't received my purchase after 12 days.

You charge for first class postage but obviously use second class. When will I ever get the purchase - still not arrived after 10 days.

Sorry that you have not received the order we will follow this up with Royal Mail. All orders are sent out either Royal Mail First Class, Royal Mail Tracked or Interlink Express depending on the size and weight of the parcel. We do not use the Second Class service.
Our Royal Mail dispatch shows that this was posted as a First Class package on the 28th May. The parcel would be too large to fit through a letter box and you should have received a card to say that it would be at the local post office or with a neighbour if you were not in to receive the parcel.

Pricey but good customer service

Bought a pet safe collar from them and when it turned up I discovered it was faulty so rang them and they said send it back and they will send another, which they did and this one works fine. They said they would refund the postage, I have not checked that this has been done yet but I hope so.
I am waiting for our one to one training session with our dog trainer before I use the collar; no point in spending all that money for me to get it wrong!

Excellent service, great product

I purchased the shock collar as I was having some problems with my dogs recall as her prey drive is so high. It didn't take long for her to realise its better to back when called first time than to wait and get that uncfortable shock. Her recall is now amazing and the collar has been put away I'm a draw. Great product and easy to use, job done!

exceptional

I was a litle unsure which collar to purchase, the online guide suggested a few models before i gave details of my dog type & i quickly settled on one.After i recieved item & after very short usage it developed a fault.British dog quickly requested it be returned to get a replacement, so keen were they to sort this problem out the replacement arrived just 1-2 working days after i had returned my unit.& it is working fine. The faulty unit is in no way any reflection on British Dog the unit was replaced very quickly & that is to there credit.

Stung on posting!

The products are good but I bought a d-trace system and some replacement batteries for the collars. I was charged quite alot for delivery as both the collar and batteries had separate delivery charges, so i expected them to be posted separately. They weren't! They arrived after 8 days in the same thin plastic posting bag. Clearly charging premium for a budget service. Poor practice at my expense! Not impressed!

13 days - no product received

We placed an order with British Dog, credit card debited immediately, advised 7 days later product dispatched, 13 days since then no product received. Last week we sent an email asking for urgent attention to status of our order - no reply - sent another email today and still awaiting a reply.

Customer was emailed and informed that the order had to be cancelled and refunded due to Royal Mail not allowing the parcel overseas to France because the item contains an aerosol. We also state this information on our Postage page. Apologies for any inconvenience.
