Delkin dslr pop up shade

Bought a pop up shade for my dslr. Received the wrong item. They bent over backwards to rectify this at their own cost. Extremely helpful people. Would highly recommend, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Awful online customer service

Awful online customer service. Selling products they don't have in stock. I have no issues with companies that do this as long as it's clear at time of purchase that there will be a few weeks delay. No indication on their website of this at all, and even allowed me to pay for next day delivery as I needed the item for a photoshoot.
Did receive refund on whole order after 2 weeks of waiting but communication via email was very unprofessional and unsympathetic.
Always try and use smaller independent businesses when I can. Would never use this company again.

Selling items they don't actually have

I ordered some SD cards from the online shop, however they didn't actually have them in stock. That didn't stop them taking my money immediately though (£339!!). They were quite cagey about supply issues but suggested they might arrive in a few weeks. Despite multiple attempts over several months to get updates, every time they just said "we will let you know when we have more information". After 2.5 months they finally admitted they couldn't get the cards. What a total waste of time. Looking at reviews it seems this is a common occurence with them. They still have this product for sale on their website as of writing this review!!

Great Experience

Great Experience! Owen and the team at Campkins Cameras are interested and engaged when it comes to technical matters. They listened constructively to my requirements and provided honest value and brilliant customer service! Many thanks, will buy again from Campkins next time - When I am looking for high-quality, functional camera accessories - Or a camera.

I was deeply disappointed with my…

I was deeply disappointed with my recent experience attempting to purchase DaVinci Resolve. The product description and accompanying visuals led me to believe that the Speed Editor was included. However, when I called to make a payment, I was informed that only an activation key was included, leading to a heated disagreement.

While the item description did not explicitly mention the Speed Editor, the images and detailed descriptions strongly implied its inclusion. I even managed to capture a screen recording and provided two photographs for reference before the items were removed from the store.

Considering the confusion stemmed from their end, I firmly believe the establishment should honor the originally displayed price. Despite being offered the option to contact the owner via email, I am hesitant to pursue it, as it may prove to be a futile endeavor. Regrettably, I've decided not to make any future purchases from this establishment, as this experience left me thoroughly disappointed.

I also apologise to the staff member for cursing. My frustrations were not aimed directly at you.

Slow, may need fresh batteries!

I ordered a pair of batteries for my Nikon and, when I hadn't received them five days later, contacted Campkins to be told to expect them within 48 hours. I expected them within 48 hours of ordering to be honest, not within 48 hours five days later. Had they only just managed to get them in the post after I contacted them I couldn't help thinking? Anyway, a week later and still no batteries but an email from Royal Mail to tell me they now have them.
I try to use independent or family run businesses whenever possible but can see the draw of the identically priced in this case Amazon etc.

Super helpful

Dropped in looking for a plastic case for a small filter- having rummaged in the storeroom I was presented with exactly what I was looking for, free of charge. Super helpful and friendly- thanks Campkins!

Prices are ridiculously high

Prices are ridiculously high. 50 quid for a 32GB micro sd card. I understand that brick and mortar stores need to charge higher prices to keep them going, but this is ridiculous when you can buy a 512GB sd card for less than £40 online.

Issues with ecommerce system, unfriendly customer support

I ordered with apple pay with a different shipping and billing address. The retailer's ecommerce system incorrectly pulled my billing address as the shipping address. I asked my family at the billing address to return the parcel. My order was refunded sans the shipping costs, despite the fault being with the retailer. Communication was unfriendly. When I raised the issue of their ecommerce system pulling the wrong shipping address they ghosted me. Very poor experience, will not consider for future purchases or recommend to friends.

Prices are too high

Prices are too high and their advertised online prices are cheaper than their in store prices. I was interested in a camera pouch that was £15 online. In store the same camera pouch is £20. This is just crazy! Film prices (Ilford) and camera batteries prices In store can also be found much cheaper elsewhere. The staff are helpful but I recommend you check prices online before parting with your cash

Utterly useless shop

In May this year (2022) I bought a Fuji Instax Mini Evo and a range of instax mini films from Campkins Cameras - it let me process the order and pay. I even got an email to tell me the order had been received and was being processed. That's where it all started to go wrong.

I was advised that there were 'supply issues' for the camera but the next one to come in would be mine.

I chased this for months, even dropping in to the store when I went to visit family in Cambridge, where Owen assured me that as soon as the camera arrived he would send it AND he had put the film aside so it would all be sent together.

Roll on to the very end of October - while up the road in Ringwood, the camera shop there had the Fuji mini evo in stock, but only colour film, so I bought the camera there and then and I contacted Owen and cancelled the camera I still had waiting BUT asked for the film to be sent anyway.

What a clown!

The camera order was cancelled the I was told the film I ordered was now out of stock, despite Owen's personal assurance he had put it to one side.

On further pressing, Owen stated, (I kid you not), "I did put the films to one side but they're not where I left them".

I guess months on he'd had enough so just cancelled the remainder of my order and submitted an additional refund.

Interesting - Campkins Cameras are still offering a full range of instax mini films on their website!

This has been a truly dreadful retail experience and, personally, I will never shop with them again :(

Refreshingly Honest Business

I placed an order for a pair of Olympus Binoculars, but was told the item was currently out of stock but as soon as any new stock arrived, l would be first on the list. Unfortunately, after 3 weeks or so, it became apparent that the particular model l was after could not be sourced and a full refund was given. Although this outcome was not what l wanted, l have given 5 stars because Owen (the gentleman whom l dealt with via email) was extremely helpful throughout and did his very best to source my preferred product.

Best Photo Printing Service In Cambridge

Have been using Campkins for photo printing for some time including film developing and have always got consistent and good results, more importantly, they are always willing to try to cater to my individual printing needs.
