Terrible service from partner Michael…

Terrible service from partner Michael Adamson.
From beginning to end he has been unresponsive, not taking my calls, not calling me back for a week and not replying to my emails, the classic bad service everyone dreads.
I sent him multiple emails chasing the same things over and over, and getting nothing back, he talked down to me, and over me, with irritation, and never delivering as promised, often just quoting from my lease what I already know, and never acting on what actually needed to be done.
I felt vulnerable, scared, alone and unsupported, he never delivered as promised. When I told him how I felt he said he was busy with other clients, and taken time out of the office unexpectedly. I was patient and understanding because I do realise that sometimes we try our best but life gets in the way. My daughter and son in law are both solicitors and I understand that working from home can be challenging, I gave Michael the benefit of the doubt. However he never failed to disappoint, he was 100% unreliable, even to the end, and he knew it. The only good thing he ever did was give me a full refund because he couldn't fulfil his legal obligations and agreed required result. Even in our last call when he suggested a refund, he said he would forward his communications with the liquidators to me, so I was aware of his correspondence, he hasn't done this, he also said he would send me the draft letter for serving a notice to draw from the rental deposit, he has not done this either, I have chased for it many times.
He said he hopes there is no hard feelings, and at the time I said “no its ok, I have a refund I can progress forward with someone else better” but again he hasn't delivered as promised and continues to not respond. He really is unprofessional and consistently unreliable and he shouldn't be allowed to be in control of peoples important legal matters if he conducts himself with this lack of respect and integrity. It’s just not acceptable.
Being unsupported and alone in this battle with the liquidators has been very stressful. A good solicitor would have taken away the stress and should have done something to help by now, but Michael Adamson just added more stress on top of the stress. He did not even come close to providing the service he was paid for. He waisted a month of my precious time, I sent him 47 emails in 30 days.
I write this email because even on closing my file and giving me the refund, he did not do what he promised to do. I cannot fathom how he is head of department, I can only guess that he must be challenged with either too much work load or more likely some personal issues we are unaware of, its the only excuse I can think of.
I just wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same, it is just so wrong and unfair, that is the reason for exposing this extremely poor service.
Solicitors get paid high hourly rates, they are expected to at the very least engage with their cases, all Michael ever did was make me spend every day chasing him. I thought it was important that you look at his mail box from me, and see his total lack of engagement. It needs looking at.

I have just used the services of DKLM and I must say how impressed I was with their service. Rupika and Dylan were very professional, proactive and helpful. I have had to use the services a few solicitors over the last couple of years and DLKM have been the best.

Be very careful if you choose this…

Be very careful if you choose this firm! My experience with DKLM meant that they hid behind procedural rules and managed to complete on a property that was not ready for occupation and also filed the wrong title plans with the Land Registry! They believed the lies and falsehoods of their client and even now knowing the truth are doing nothing to remedy the lies! Even the SRA, who are also aware, don't want to intervene, White collar crime seems to be allowed?

1 star is too much. This company takes no responsibility for their poor service, even if you go through their complaints procedures. DO NOT USE them if you want to get a reasonable, good quality service. I do not expect anybody from the firm will follow up on this review nor the issues we have been raising with them over the past 3 years.

Unreasonable price and handling time

Unreasonable price and delay deal.

Unbelievable. The solicitor caused much delay in reviewing the documents and negotiation. And my transaction has dragged for so many months and kept finding unnecessary “problems”. Because of the delay and the “problems” they charged me 60% more for the legal fee claiming that they have done so much “work” though the transaction could not be completed at the end.

The standard of service is in doubt even the purchase price is incorrect and not be amended in the second draft. Horrible purchase experience.

Price is unreasonable.
Time wasted.

We have been clients of DKLM for the past 10 years and have known one of the partners, Kiran Morzeria, for over 20 years. We have also worked closely with Kushal Morzeria for over 6 years during his time at DKLM.

Excellent service, attention to detail and professionalism.

I have used the company twice with recent assignment completed in 2024. On both occasions they have provided outstanding service promptly and efficiently. We are very happy and honored to hire DKLM to sell our property in London. DKLM has a strong team of solicitors. Brenda Tao and Ophelia Tong are responsible for our case this time. Because this is our first time selling a house in the UK, and we are not in the UK at the moment, so in the early stage we were very worried about accidents during the process and resulting in unnecessary losses. But the facts tell us that these worries are unnecessary, as Branda and Ophelia are very professional in answering all our questions, guiding and helping us to complete many documents, making the whole thing very smooth.

This was my second time engaging with…

This was my second time engaging with the services of DKLM to sell my properties in London. I’m thoroughly happy with how professional, reliable and efficient Brenda TAO and also Ophelia worked. They kept me updated on the progress and information in a timely and thorough manner. Brenda closely monitored all the proceedings and gave me advice before any situation happened, giving me peace of mind. They answered my requests promptly with great patience. Although I experienced a series of complication from the buyer’s solicitors, the DKLM team had been proactively solving all the issues, proposing solutions and providing recommendations.

I was blessed to find them !

Incompetent, sloppery and slow

Basic principles of a lease agreement misinterpreted, extremely slow in response time (a simple Licence to Alter agreement took over three months where the terms were agreed in advance) and duplication of efforts and misrepresentation of agreed terms, where a trainee solicitor was deployed at the final stage of the process clearly not understanding of what has been agreed up to that point.

Everything you need in a conveyancing lawyer

I'm thoroughly happy that we engaged the services of DKLM to sell our studio unit. Brenda Tao and Kimberly were excellent in their client management and ensured that the process was painless and went without a hitch. What impressed was their competence and responsiveness and the way they persisted in getting a response from relevant parties. We were updated so regularly even when there wasn't much development in the process. The sale was completed in good time. I would totally totally seek their assistance if I had to do any future transaction.
