Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 73 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the product, citing poor quality and an overall negative user experience. They frequently mentioned issues with the game's performance, including optimization problems, crashes, and bugs, which detracted from their enjoyment. The pricing was also a point of contention, with many feeling it was too high for the value received, especially given the game's unfinished state and the developers' perceived focus on monetary gain over player satisfaction. Some people also felt that the game's app and its associated functionalities were problematic, with reports of login issues and difficulties with account recovery. Additionally, the presence of cheaters and unbalanced gameplay elements were frequently highlighted as major frustrations, making the game feel unfair and unrewarding for many.

BSG has released a package for Escape…

BSG has released a package for Escape from Tarkov that was always advertised as offerint access to all DLCs that will follow. Until now, when it released the new 250USD+tax package. Their argument is that this is a functionality not a DLC. Apparently coop offline mode is a DLC whiel coop offline mode with progression is a functionality thats completly ok to sell for a ridiculous price. ah, there is the pay to win functionality

My Problem with EFT

Battlestate games asks me to overlook three main downsides in order to enjoy Escape from Tarkov.

They are as follows:

1. Bad development team. (EOD Controversy, selling inventory space per-slot, unfulfilled promises.)

2. Bad game balance. (Ammo, armor, in-raid risk/reward)

3. Bad server management. (Packet loss, Cheaters, tick-rate, optimization)

Escape from Tarkov began as a neat idea, one which is now nearly 10 years old. I believe it is telling that none of my friends have continued to play this game long term. Furthermore, I don't know anyone in my circle of friends to whom I could confidently say, "Tarkov is the game for you." Instead I have said countless times, "I don't think Tarkov is for you." This kind of product reputation in any business has unfortunate downsides.

I believe EFT cannot sustain product interest without "post-wipe-hype"

I believe EFT is a game that can only survive inside the ambiguous early access realm.

I believe gamers are buying a perpetual state of evolution in design/vision and changing goalposts.

If that is okay with you, then by all means enjoy. Unfortunately for me, it is not. I have waited many years and seen few improvements across these 3 main issues.

Scammed the whole EOD community who…

Scammed the whole EOD community who have supported the game since 2016 by promising all future DLC's when purchasing EOD. The new update has gone against that and bsg are asking for another €100 on top of EOD accounts to access the new content. Absolutely disgusted by a company who had a good loyal fan base

If only I could give it a zero

As a EOD owner I feel lied to with the new edition added. EOD was supposed to come with all DLCs and so on. But now greedy battlestate wants us to spend alot more money on a pay to win edition again. Cant wait to uninstall. Game sucks with all cheaters and unrealistic scavbosses anyway.

Horrible Scam Company

Horrible business practice and with the newest controversy, they have officially become a scam company. EoD Editions should be refunded on grounds of false advertising.

garbage development team

garbage development team. nikita has his head so far in places where he cant even see what the community wants. BSG needs someone else running the show. BGS's getting pathetic with their attempts to reimburse their efforts they've spent trying to rid cheaters in the game itself.

Lying scamming theives, doomed to bankruptcy.

Lying scammers. Bought an edition that said all future downloadable content will be free. Verifiably untrue as it turns out. A PvE mode would have brought me back to the game after I quit when too many cheaters rampaged across the servers. Now I would have to pay ANOTHER $100 for this mode? Goodbye forever Tarkov. Was good knowing you. I will curse the name of this game to everyone I come across. I will warn them not to get scammed by this horrendous company, Battlestate Games. Not a good idea to steal money, it kind of cuts off any chances of further gaining any in the future. Good luck getting any other job with Tarkov on your resume once the company goes under from lack of funds.

Since 2016

Since 2016, players have supported the developers by purchasing the highest edition of the game. For 8 years, we've been recommending this game to friends, bringing more and more players into the community. And what was the developers' response? They've blown us off, refuse to comment, and only encourage those who have lost all respect for themselves and continue to pour money in. I personally had high hopes for Tarkov. In my eyes, it was a high-quality and most ambitious product on the entire market. This is unacceptable. This is selfish. This is disrespectful. You've disgraced yourselves completely. You've lost loyal players, you've betrayed the idea. It's disgusting. To everyone who feels the same way - don't be silent. Spam, make memes, spread the word wherever it's relevant. This cannot be tolerated.

Criminals

Criminals.

BSG is not only scamming the player base, but is also in violation of the UK CRPs Regulation 5 and 15 US Code § 52. Report them to ICPEN, the FTC, and the UK Trade and Business Commission.

I had 150 euro for EOD edition back…

I had 150 euro for EOD edition back nearly 2 years ago to support the game with the promise being the highest payed tier and early access to new features and dlcs, now bsg as sh#t on everyone that owned EOD can made another 250 euro edition of the game replacing EOD. This is a shame how a company can turn soo money hungry and literally kill their player base by doing something so stupid like this. Maybe they don't know if no one buys their game they aren't going to make money
