Do not use these solicitors. In my experience I found them to be rude and unprofessional. They were responsible for a huge list of errors and the final fee was double the initial estimate. I was ignored for the most part and when I did eventually receive a response to some of my communications I was lied to and given false and misleading information for reasons unknown. Avoid these solicitors to avoid the trouble myself and others have experienced. The reviews speak for themselves.

The firm came recommended by estate agents, who I can only assume get a commission for referrals. Otherwise, nobody with any experience of proper service and commercial awareness could possibly be satisfied with the service of Ewan & co. First, the firm is not registered with high street lenders and uses third-party, the cost of which is passed on to the client after the fact. Second, the speed of transaction is prioritized over proper diligence. The final bill for "services" comes in at over 3x initial estimate with no explanation and multiple errors (extra 0's on the VAT amount, wrong stamp duty amount, wrong mortgage amount etc). Avoid at any cost.
