Saved £140 on the electric fire that's 140 cheaper than my local shop and he knocked money off to sell me a shop soiled fire new it was 200 £ more . Even with the drive of 45 miles and back was worth it to check it out.Paid £10 delivery it came 2 days later . The Aurora phoenix electric fire fit straight into our old gas fire cut out. First class service from the shop thanks guys .

Thinking buying online would be the easiest option, I spent weeks trying to order the correct valve for an awkward leaking mixer tap. It then occurred to me in a further wasted attempt at success, that Maughans had a large plumbing section in their Park Avenue store. I took the leaky valve in and within 5 minutes I had the right valve and really helpful advice too. The staff were so helpful and polite and I'm just kicking myself for all the wasted time online ordering and for forgetting how good Maughans have always been. Brilliant local firm, fantastic in-store choice and proper knowledge-based customer service. Amazing!

Purchased a Flymo lawnmower from these guys, received an email a couple of days later to inform me that it was currently out of stock but they’d have more in soon.
True to their word stock arrived and they dispatched it immediately and even upgraded my delivery to a next day service.
The lady I dealt with was Catherine and I have to say I received first class service. I would not hesitate to purchase from this company in the future. Oh and the lawnmower was the cheapest price anywhere!

We ordered a garden shed building in the summer months which has turned out to be an absolute disaster.  Apparently they are the agents and merely collect a commission but they have been indifferent to the plethora of serious faults, defects and failures of the company that they use. The building remains in an unusable condition after countless visits from their contracted provider and issues are merely treated with disinterest and it's 'nothing really to do with us' response. Very disappointing and hugely stressful experience!!

We've just bought a Weber BBQ. It being Summer it seemed everyone was sold out so seeing F E Maughan had what we wanted online and at a decent price I though I better check they actually had the stock. They came back quickly confirming they did and after placing the order they rang to confirm something with us. The BBQ was delivered quickly, no fuss and I'll be glad to do business with them again.

Bought a mower from F.E. Maughan through Amazon, which was faulty.

The return process was great and the refund effected within the day.

These guys really understand customer service.
