At the sir John Moore in Glasgow. What an amazing experience quick service. Staff very helpful. And can’t believe how quick the clear tables. If their are empty they pick on way.
Would totally recommend and if back in area would definitely be back

Really good service from a waitress…

Really good service from a waitress named Abbey at Guildford Wetherspoons. She was so kind and fixed an issue we had with some drinks we ordered. Also helped us move table when the table next to us were being pretty disruptive on a Monday night. Overall one of the best service experiences I’ve had in a spoons and she was absolutely lovely!

Breakfast in Leicester Square

We were in Leicester Square for a few days, but the hotel breakfast was expensive and rather formal. So, we tried Wetherspoons and were impressed by the pleasant atmosphere, friendlyness of the staff, nicely presented and tasty breakfast and of course the incredible value. Thank you, we will see you again.

Breakfast experience

I went to the Masque Haunt in Old Street London for a breakfast. I ordered the traditional English. It came quickly, but wasn't very hot. The food was as described so I decided to eat it. I was two-thirds through, when I stepped away from the table to get a glass of water. Amazingly, during this less-than-one-minute absence the remaing food was whipped away! I had left the knife and fork in the "I'm still eating position".
I complained and the staff were actually very good - the manager refunded my money AND gave me another breakfast which was hot this time !
Not great, but I can't fault the response of the senior staff. Would I eat there again? Yes, I might give them another try - one inappropriate table-clearing staff member should not prejudice the whole pub.

AVOID THIS VENUE

AVOID THIS VENUE
AVOID THIS VENUE. On Valentine’s Day (14/02/2026), my friend was served a Simple Chicken Jalfrezi that resulted in severe food poisoning. The situation was so critical it required an emergency ambulance call-out.
As a single mother of two, she has been bedridden and incapacitated for 5 days. When I confronted the management to warn them about the potentially contaminated batch of food, I was met with total obstruction. They refused to give me any information, hiding behind "privacy concerns."
This isn't about privacy; it’s a public health hazard. To see a major chain like Wetherspoon show such blatant disregard for customer safety and the well-being of a local mother is an absolute scandal. If you value your health, eat elsewhere.

STepneyGreen female staff member ( I believe Vietnamese showed me to a dirty table couldn't be bothered to come back and wipe it. I had to go to the bar and request a staff member to wipe it instead. This individual gave me a 'why are you asking me look' and then proceeded to hand me a wet napkins. as if I should wipe it myself. This was 11:08am on the 7/02/26. Then adding insult to injury the food was uncooked especially the bacon and hanging off the plate. Dark haired male staff member behind the bar. With a i dont give a sh*t attitude. These people need to be removed ASAP. STEPNEY GREEN GATED VENUE.

Wetherspoon's pub in Fleet

Visited Wetherspoon's pub in Fleet, friendly service, good food and cheap, glad to see no dogs in the pub.
Also good to see lots of senior citizens having breakfast using it as a meeting place.

NOT GOOD ENOUGH RITZ

Just spent some time in Lincolns "The Ritz" pub. Ordered a mug for a latte.
One machine said no milk and the other machine said enter the password. Some kind customer went to the bar to request assistance. Password sorted and milk topped up. 10 mins later I have a drink. Next time I went up both machines had run out of milk and the hand pourer. I took the pourer to one if the serving ladies, and asked for assistance, and was rudely told "I've no time for that now".
I had to wait another 15mins before being able to get another drink. I know it's Saturday but staff should be available when a queue is forming for tea or coffee.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH RITZ.

We have been in the Punch Bowl all day…

We have been in the Punch Bowl all day and Sven has worked his arse off. Not stopped all day. Serving food, jumping on the bar to serve when needed. Fabulous.
Yes, all the other serving staff have worked well, keeping the queue down. But Sven needs a special mention. Well down, management should be proud

Very Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience

My family (my wife, our baby, and a friend) visited Wetherspoons 24 january 2026 at around 9:40 pm for dinner. When we arrived, one staff member told my wife they close at 10:00 pm. To be sure, I then asked another staff member about the kitchen and pub closing times, and she clearly confirmed that the kitchen closes at 11:00 pm and the pub at 12:30 am. Based on this information, we placed our food and drink order.

Our drinks arrived after 9:55 pm. While we were drinking, at exactly 10:00 pm, a staff member wearing a white shirt came to our table and told us we had to leave immediately.

When I asked for a reason, he said under-18s are not allowed after 10:00 pm. I accepted this because we had our baby with us. However, I explained that we had already ordered food, and he said he could arrange takeaway for the food, but not for the drinks.

I politely asked for one minute to finish our drinks, but he refused completely and insisted we leave immediately, without any courtesy or proper explanation. There was no prior warning, no apology, and no attempt to handle the situation professionally.

I asked my wife to step outside with the baby, and my friend and I tried to quickly finish our drinks, but again we were told to leave straight away. At that point, I requested a refund. He agreed — but refused to refund the drinks, saying they do not refund items once they are “touched”.

This is completely unfair, especially when we were forced to leave through no fault of our own and were given incorrect information by staff in the first place.

The way we were treated felt disrespectful, discriminatory, and unacceptable. Staff should know the rules, communicate them clearly before orders are taken, and treat customers with basic decency — especially families.

Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this person based on how poorly this situation was handled.

Briar Rose Hotel and pub in Birmingham…

Briar Rose Hotel and pub in Birmingham looked after us excellently again. This is third time we've stayed there so they must be doing something right. Even free tea and coffee as residents, so save £1.81 every hot drink! The real ales and food are all good value too. Can't wait to stay there again, or any Wetherspoons Hotel. UK's best kept secret. Keep it quiet Tim !!😁
