Jens helped our son enormously by providing the rigour he needed for his A level revision. He went from a C for his mock, to an A for his final result - which he was incredibly pleased about, and us too.

My daughter took a week’s intensive course to prepare for her German GCSE. The help she received to consolidate her grammar knowledge and increase her range German vocabulary was extremely helpful and Jens is a very thorough and patient teacher. I would recommend Olesen tuition for anyone preparing for a German exam.

We could not be more delighted with the tuition our son received from Olesen Tuition with the result being an A* in his German A-Level exam. Great experience with Kai's classes at Olesen Tuition. My son took German classes with no prior knowledge of the language. Great way to teach, excellent ways to progressing a kid and very accommodative in terms of timings, this has been a great experience. Highly reocmmended.

I was taught by Annika 1 or 2 times per week between January and May in preparation for my A2 exam and I can safely say I would not have done nearly as well without her! I had decent knowledge beforehand, but she was able to solidify the foundations and clarify a lot that I did not know beforehand and was able to pass the exam with 93/100. The lessons were always enjoyable on top of that and I would always recommend her as a teacher!

When we got in touch with Jens 2 years ago, to ask if he would be able to tutor our then 17 year old daughter through the whole of the German A level ( as her school wouldn't teach it), we knew we were taking a bit of a risk.We did not know Jens and knew noone who did.
However our instinct that he would be
brilliant at teaching our daughter was totally right.
Not only is he extremely bright and competent at what he does, but he is also highly reliable and hard working. Our
daughter loved working with him from start
to finish and, despite the fact that she had to
work extremely hard, she would also always
be laughing with Jens too.
We cannot recommend him highly enough to
teach A level German; he is absolutely brilliant at teaching and keeping it interesting
and fresh too.
Our daughter achieved a high A in her German A level result and now wishes to continue to study German, alongside her main degree, at university.

Jens tutored my son Oliver in the final stages of his A level German, for just over 4 months. Oliver was reluctant to have a tutor up to this point but his confidence in achieving the grade he needs was slipping. Jens was outstanding from start to finish and Oliver was very happy with the sessions. He worked on grammar, and in particular the ARP, book and film. Jens prepared comprehensive revision materials bespoke to the book/film Oliver was studying. His lessons were engaging and challenging and he stretched Oliver and focused on his greatest areas of need. Jens high standards motivated Oliver. In a short space of time, Oliver felt much, much more prepared than he would have been otherwise….in his confidence speaking, quality of IRP, depths of analysis of film and book etc etc. We are so pleased we found Jens at Olesen tuition, he really is next level and worth the investment.
I anticipate and hope Oliver will continue his German alongside his degree and would not hesitate to reach out to Jens again to overcome any future hurdles! Sincere thanks, Jens!

I’ve been studying with Jens for 2.5 years now and can safely say that he is the best teacher in the business. I have no idea how he does it in all honesty, but before you’ve even realised that it has happened, you’re speaking German at a very high level! It’s crazy!

He is so good at calmly and comprehensively explaining things (scary German grammar especially), but also at pushing you out of your comfort zone so you quickly develop. The lessons are really enjoyable and I always look forward to my weekly class (there a lot of laughs which is a big bonus). Would highly recommend!

I have been struggling to learn German now for a few years. A few months ago, I started learning with Jens and I have been really enjoying my classes. Due to the small in-person class size, the sessions are fun and you get the one-on-one attention that you need when starting/mastering a new language. I like the practical focus of the class (speaking/listening in German) rather than a lot of time spent writing out grammatical exercises. Thoroughly recommend Olesen Tuition!

Jens is an excellent teacher. He combines thorough teaching of all aspects of German with a lot of humour.

Jens is a terrific teacher. He makes every lesson fun and informative and explains it all so well. I've had a go at learning German before but none of the previous teachers compare! it's a real pleasure to attend his class (he even makes me want to do the homework!)

Learning German in small classes is fun and useful, as everybody has a chance to speak and work over their mistakes. I started classes with Jens, who is great tutor. I then joined an online class with Anja, who is also excellent, and having started level B2 gives us challenging and interesting texts to read. I would strongly recommend anybody at this level to come and join us and viel spaß beim Deutschlernen!

I am taking weekly corporate lessons to improve my German language for a year now. I am pleased with my progress and the professional lessons Jens is giving. The lessons are tailored to my level, business requirements and profession, which is very helpful. The flexibility Jens is able to provide works well in combination with my job. Lastly, the lessons and the discussions we have are good fun. Would definitely recommend for corporate clients

Great German lessons. Jens is really professional and motivated and experience is overall great!

I have been taking German lessons with Jens for a couple of years now, and he is a truly brilliant teacher. Patient, kind, and very didactic. He always adapts the level of the lesson and the method to individual students, and constantly adds revision exercises to make sure nothing is forgotten. Having previously studied German at Goethe Institut for years (to my frustration), I highly recommend him to anyone interested in studying German.

Jens is a superb tutor. My German has improved faster over the last eight months with Jens than I've ever experienced before. In particular, his approach to grammar is straightforward and memorable. Jens clearly loves his work, and he does it very well.

Jens teaches in a very efficient manner that cuts through pages and pages of confusing German text books and saves a lot of time.
