Bought 2 yellowstone folding chairs
Bought 2 yellowstone folding chairs, cost over £100 each, last year. Only used 4 times and s screw has dropped out of one of the chairs. contacted Outwell only told tobe told go to a DIY, as they don't have replacement parts. Cannot fine anything to match ,so my chairs are now odd. Gutted, they are just over 1 year old. As we are pensioners we bought these as they looked very comfortable, which they are, but disappointed now

Simply not fit for purpose
This tent Is simply not fit for purpose, I complained to Outwell.
“Hi I have a complaint about the Outwell Could 5 Plus tent, on the grounds that it is simply not fit for purpose. I have had a Outwell Clound 5 tent for about 6 years now. The Outwell Cloud 5 Tent has one major problem that is the front extension. At the angled parts of the front extension and at the front of the front extension, water runs down the sides of the tent and into the front extension ground sheet thus forming a paddling pool in the front extension.
I was unsure about buying a Outwell Could 5 Plus tent for this reason and thought surely that they would have fixed this problem by now and ordered a Outwell Could 5 Plus tent. How wrong I was.
We took our brand new Outwell Could 5 Plus tent to a motorcycle rally involving 2 nights camping. We pitched the tent and looked at the front extension ground sheet sticking out from the angled sides and front of the front extension. It is very much far worse than our old Outwell Clound 5 tent. There were around 500 tents at the motorcycle rally and we spent the next four hours trying to fix the problem with everyone trying to help, no one could. So we knew that if it rained during the night that we would have a paddling pool in the front extension. Perhaps this is why the Outwell Could 5 Plus tent has a rear door so you can get out of the tent without getting wet feet in the paddling pool in the front extension. Luckily it did not rain that night. The next morning Just 21 hours after pitching our tent a front pole broke and the front extension collapsed completely. This was in a force 4 wind, no more, none of the 500 other tents at the rally site had any problems. Thus I put it to you that the Outwell Could 5 Plus tent is not fit for purpose. Please tell me how do I go about returning this not good for purpose tent.”
Response was
“Dear Mick, Thank you for your request. I can offer you a replacement front pole for your tent. Comments relating to design and your expectations for a different construction of the Cloud 5 plus is not warranty related. I am sorry but I can't take a claim for that. Please let me know if I should send the front pole and confirm you address. Have a nice day. Best regards Team Outwell.”
Since I paid by PayPal I made a claim under PayPal's Buyer Protection Program, I won and got my money back.
bought Outwell Harwood 6
bought Outwell Harwood 6, on its first use we had to leave the tent and sleep in the car. It leaked like a sieve, it thought I was buying a better brand but clearly I haven't. I had to get a Mop and bucket , the pod area was the worst, our clothes are soaking.
None existing waterproofing on a new tent.
We bought a brand new Parkdale 4PA air beam tent last year. It is the second time of use and both times we thought we were were having terrible problems with condensation. When it rained, we found out the waterproofing was incredibly poor. When I'd spent an extra £50 and waterproofed it, the tent was useable again. Customer Service basically said, go back to the seller of tent and took no responsibility for the lack of waterproofing. Very, very poor! It's not fair the lovely seller should have to deal with that problem when it's a manufacturing error. One that seems to come up quite a lot from other people as well!
Faulty Outwell 6PA Tent
Purchased an Outwell 6PA Tent. It Failed on its 4th use with a catastrophic hole at a main structural point.. The Tent was only 2 years and 9 months old.. and this was the only the 4th time used.. The Tent tore like perforated paper along the main storm strap attachment point and Outwell have responded with poorly written emails which are rude, abrupt and accusatory. The tent was not subject to any abnormal use and failed during the pith-up.. If it failed when tightening a guy rope.. then the force 8-10 wind rating is sheer fantasy.. Avoid Outwell, over priced poor quality and the worst customer service I have ever seen from a manufacturer of "premium" products.
Tent production failure
We borrowed a Aspen 500 from our friends to enjoy holidays with our 2 young kids in Elba. Unfortunatly we had quite often rain and the sleeping tent was not water-resistant at all. The tent was already 4 years old and once used without rain, so no warranty anymore. It is obvious that it is a production failure but no discernment at all.
Just imagine drying a few times all your stuff from the tent with 2 small kids or buy something with higher quality or use OUTWELL TENTS just for 2 years. Our friends bougth it at Bergzeit.at but there is no compensation from them either.
Cove 400a Awning
Cove 400a Awning. Developed a puncture along the seam, so is not repairable. The inner could be replaced but is "discontinued" Only used 3 times (3 seasons) not very durable. For the money not good value. I've contacted your help dept and in 4 days I've had no reply. How are you going to solve my issue if you don't respond. I think that's just your usual flim flam answer. Never buy outwell again.

Leaks like a sieve after prolonged rain
I've been camping for many years. I bought an Outwell Palm Coast 600 a few years ago and after a lot of rain the water was dripping from all over the tent. I was able to get a replacement and the following year this new tent was fine. But 2 years later with just 3 uses, this one leaks heavily too. The water ran into the corner and was enough to fill a saucepan.
What I've concluded is that the fabric is water proof for a short time but if the rain persists for hours then it soaks right through as if it's raining in the actual tent. I don't believe it's condensation because I put a ground sheet on top of the tent and in that section the leak stopped. I'll be taking a tarpaulin next time to throw over it. I've never had this with any other brand. Won't be buying from Outwell again.

Used out Traverson 5 tent only a hand…
Used out Traverson 5 tent only a hand full of times, used it in the rain for the first time this weekend. The tent was so poorly made that water streamed in through the roof and made pools of water. Do not buy Outwell Tents

The camping table I ordered exceeded expectation and though I’m disappointed it’s Chinese manufactured I can see it will serve us for many years
Excellent
Excellent service from start to finish and the product is exactly as described.
Very poor
Very poor, no UK contact and the website is fairly useless.
If you want to contact Outwell fill in the online enquiry form then hope and wait, whilst all the time I have an awning I can't use. Simply not good enough Outwell.
Terrible customer service.

Quick and efficient delivery
Quick and efficient delivery, we are using it on the side of a high van and it works. May also use it in the garden. Awning was off good quality.
Nice online shoping experience
Nice online shoping experience, efficient fullfiling of the order, excellent product
Product failed, no support
I bought an electric cooler box, not used much but it failed out of warranty. Fan was still running but it didn't cool or heat. Outwell said there are no spare parts to fix the cooling element that was broken.
They just expect you to buy another cooler box (the same model costs £99 at Go Outdoors members' price for example, so if they're still making them then the parts are obviously available, they just choose not to help customers whose product has failed).
1 star because they don't support their own products, 1 star because the product failed after little use and a generous 2 stars because their Customer Service department did answer the question.
Low quality tent, poor customer service
I decided to "upgrade" from my trusty vango tent and bought an outwell cloud 4. The main body of the tent looked fine when I put it up but the porch bathtub groundsheet just didn't seem to fit. It kept pulling away from the velcro tabs which seemed like a pretty bad design flaw. I spent longer trying to adjust this than it took me to put up the whole tent. In addition, after one camping trip there's a tear in the fabric where the tent poles go. I know I'm careful with my tent, so I'm not convinced on the quality of this tent at all. For nearly £200 I expected a lot better (my vango fared much better and was only £70 years ago).
After several email exchanges where outwell have had me send them photos and videos they have concluded that they can't see how I'm putting the tent up (?? ) so they can't help me and its not their responsibility as the holes were not in the tent out of the box. I think that's such poor customer service. I wouldn't advise buying from them.
Fast and efficient assistance!
I had purchased a number of products from Outwell. One of which arrived damaged after being shipped from Denmark to France.
I contacted the Outwell support and within 24 hours they had sent a new product as a replacement.
The other products all arrived in perfect condition and fully lived up to my expectations!
Excellent !!
