I ordered four products

I ordered four products, on 10/21/18. I read the reviews and did not think that they were fair. I was naive. I found out a day after they shipped that the two main products I needed didn't ship. They refunded them and two dollars of the $14 shipping cost. I would have just went to amazon. Who wants to pay $12 for shipping $15 worth of products? I would have expected them to notify me before shipping to see if I wanted to exchange the products that were out with something similar. What I really don't understand is how they do not know their own stock. I am a manager at a retail store and our inventory may not be precise, but we know if we are out of stock. I would bet that we have twice the sku's as planet natural. This is a pathetic excuse for a business. This place is more like hobbyist trying to make a living from doing something they enjoy without educating themselves with how business works. Let me educate. I am only going to receive half of what I ordered. The UCC(Uniform Commercial Code) allows me to send it back with Planet Naturals paying for both sides of the shipping.

Planet Natural has been in business over 30 years, with over 9,000 sku's. We have operated, very successfully, both a Retail location and an on-line website. We are in the process of liquidating our inventory as we have decided to retire and have put the business up for sale. That being said, we remove the sold out products from our inventory as soon as possible. In the event that a customer orders products that are out of stock, we refund the customer, and re-calculate the shipping based on the products the customer is receiving, including the 30% shipping discount. We receive hundreds of orders a day, and our focus is on fulfilling our orders and shipping within 48 hours of receipt of the order.

Your comments, including your email, "The bat guano and bioweed is the reason I even ordered from this site. I didn't want to believe all the bad reviews. However, it seems I was nieve. A professional company would have contacted me prior to shipping to see if they could replace the products with something else. Enjoy the unemployment line. I will be adding to the numerous bad reviews this company has." shows a complete lack of professionalism, and borders on a petulant.

You are welcome to return your products and we will be happy to refund you for them as well.

Happy With My Experience

I would have given "Planet Natural" a 5 star review. However, after I had submitted my order and was charged the full amount, the following day I received an email stating that most of my order was out of stock. It would be helpful to know that products are "out of stock," prior to paying for my order.

Overall I am pleased with "Planet Natural" and their quick response to my inquiry. Also, I am pleased that I wasn't charged shipping. I would have been okay with paying for shipping -- I know that a profit wasn't made off of my sale.

I, most definitely, will continue to do future business with "Planet Natural."

Bamboo compost bin replacement

I ordered and received a bamboo compost bin to sit on my kitchen counter. The lid to the bin did not fit properly so I wrote to complain. Employee Michelle Catarino replied quickly and courteously, and even sent a shipping label to me for free shipping of the faulty bin back to Planet Natural. Within four days I had a beautiful bamboo compost bin with a proper-fitting lid holding an honored place in my kitchen. In the process of our email correspondence, we also established a long-distance friendship. Now THAT is customer service at its best -- but it requires cooperation on the part of customer and business! I highly recommend Planet Natural for their service and customer care.

One order is all I needed to know I will never be placing an order here again. I ordered over $100 of soil amendments. I was short one of the items (the cheapest one I ordered $8). I sent them an email to let them know, I sent in pictures and for the week that followed I was never updated. I had to send a follow up email and call in to their store before somebody finally sent me an email to tell me that all their weights match what was sent. After I told them to keep the item and my money they finally issued the replacement. I'm glad I only ordered a small amount of items before I made my large purchase so I knew the true character of this company. Items and prices are great (if you ever get them)

*In response to the company reply: 1. There should have been no additional cost seeing as how I already paid for it. 2. You did not try to rectify the situation. I had to chase you guys down to finally have somebody tell me that a box and packing peanuts weigh 5lbs (the exact weight of what I was missing). It wasn't until I told you guys to keep the money AND the item that you finally sent me what I paid for. I've had better service from Comcast and that's saying something

Unreliable, Unprofessional, and RUDE!

I placed an order through PN's website last Friday, and while their shipping policy states that in-stock items will be shipped the same business day, or at the very least by the next business day, if placed after the cutoff time, on Wednesday my order was still 'processing' and I was given the runaround about what that means by the guy on the phone.

At this point, 'Scott', the 'manager', gave me a bunch of excuses about his recent vacation, the 'break-in' at the store over the weekend, etc, and how he's dealing with "real world issues" and my order is "small potatoes" in his view. All the while he still couldn't tell me if/when my order would actually ship. I finally gave up and asked him to cancel my order, and he said he was doing it "right now" but that he couldn't give me any confirmation and unless I wanted to "wait an hour and a half for his accountant to come back from lunch" he couldn't refund my money. This isn't how e-commerce is supposed to work, 'Scott'.

Anyway, I explained to him that he was being kind of a d*ck for no reason, that I was simply a customer with REAL WORLD wants/needs/questions and he got real upset, told me he didn't have time to deal with this and hung up on me.

Anyway, my order still says 'processing' on their website and I haven't gotten my refund. I'm not sure if I ever will, but I'll take that up with PayPal/Visa if I have to.

I will NEVER shop through Planet Natural again, and I encourage anyone who values PROFESSIONALISM and customer service to avoid this company and especially 'Scott' at all costs, too.

terrible

Do not order live insects from this company. It has been over a week and my items haven't been shipped yet (I paid extra for 2 day shipping). When I asked when my order would be shipped, customer service was incredibly rude and said that they would get to it tomorrow and that it would be delivered in a week. I have cancelled my order. Safe yourself the headache and shop somewhere else!
