I’ve been a loyal Redeluxe customer for years and have purchased several bags from them. NEVER a disappointment! I do business in an old school manner; face-to-face, small/local business, people I know and trust. I had been seeing Georgia's videos and something about her made me think "this does not seem like a scam company." Many reasons why, but I will say quirky and sweet, which I can relate to. I had a BAD experience trying to buy a "looks like" bag from a company in China, so I was wary about online sales. I found out that Redeluxe is in Texas and that I could call them. Hunter picked up right away and I believe I rambled on to him for a good while. He was so nice and helpful. By the end of our conversation, I felt like I knew them a bit. I felt that I could trust in taking that leap and buying a bag that I have been dreaming of for a long time. I knew what size, hardware and leather(s) that I wanted. When Georgia made a video of a green 35 Birkin in one of my preferred leathers, it was like a little sign. I text back and forth with them and they sent me some photos in addition to what was on the website. I especially liked that I could ask a few questions and Hunter was literally holding the exact bag and telling me details about it. I bought it and they made sure it got to me in NC via DHL company in just few days. (I had a great experience with DHL, too). I received my bag and buckled her into my patrol car for her first day of work the following morning! I have even named the bag; Cheval de Guerre, which means Horse of War. I picked this name for many reasons. It is made of Ardennes leather and that region of France was the site of major battles in both World Wars. The Battle of the Bulge, December 1944 (20 degrees Fahrenheit) took place there. They used war horses to fight. Ardennes horses are known for their strength and resilience. I used to be a barn manager and horse trainer and I love horses. And as a city cop, and Army combat veteran, I realize the impacts and strains of war. Also, I have been through some personal "wars" and my determination and (especially) God has carried me through it all.
So, I am very glad that I "met" and took a chance on Georgia and Hunter's company, Redeluxe. I am very happy with my bag and it was represented accurately by them. It is vintage, but in very nice condition. I know I will enjoy it for many years.
