They were on time, prepared, respectful, and a really cool/great team. Introduced themselves by name and handshake, got the password, and began. Both of the gentlemen demonstrated technical expertise and superhuman athletic capabilities. They were able to wrap, load, transport (stayed right behind me in traffic), and unload my 1 bedroom/1bathrooom apartment up into a 2 story 1b/1ba in the 2 hour time period. Seconds after the truck was empty the alarm went off. It was magical I swear. I am a single person with the weight of expenses and coordinating and I couldn't have done with without Rio Moving and their help. I have 2 herniated lumbar discs and dont have family in the area to help. Friends all work Mondays. Thank you guys so much! Highly recommend, fair pricing, fast/great/respectful workers (who didnt seem to mind me playing 80s music). Rarely do people want to really HELP you and this experience felt like divine timing. Im very grateful to have stumbled upon your company phone number and to have gotten those 2 movers assigned to my job #.

Rio's did a great job with moving my furniture! They were very professional and on time. They also handled my items with care. I would definitely use their services again.

The service was great! The movers were professional and they got me in and out. The only improvement I want to see is more representatives to answer when the company number is called. Other than that they will call you back and get your service done

Danjuma and team would great . Prompt and wasted no time getting started and do not lollygag together work done. They communicated to understand where everthing was to placed and respected my belongings . On top of doing evening in snow and sun degree weather .

The crew of the did a terrific job moving our future from our house to a senior living community. The movers were on time moved the items with care and worked diligently. The price was fair and below other quotes from the area.

This company confirmed my moving date and time, then had the nerve to call OVER AN HOUR AFTER THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO ARRIVE claiming they suddenly “didn’t have a truck big enough.” I was told that if I still wanted my move, I would have to pay MORE money for a smaller truck, because they supposedly couldn’t find a large U-Haul anywhere in my area.

That was a lie.

I personally called U-Haul locations near me and was told they had multiple 20-foot trucks available. When I called the dispatcher back with this information, it took countless calls just to reach anyone at all. Once I finally did, I was then told the crew was no longer near my house, which makes absolutely no sense since we had already agreed to proceed with the smaller truck. So were they coming or not? Clearly, they never intended to show up.

I repeatedly asked to speak with a supervisor and was refused multiple times. Only after pushing did the dispatcher finally give me an “extension,” which I highly doubt was legitimate since it seems nearly impossible to reach anyone at this company.

To make matters worse, they tried to tack on an extra $200, claiming the move wouldn’t be completed in two hours—even though I had already moved my entire house into the garage specifically to make the job easier and faster for the movers.

This entire experience felt bait-and-switch, misleading, and completely unprofessional. Last-minute excuses, false claims about truck availability, price gouging, zero accountability, and refusal to escalate issues. This is not how a legitimate business operates.

Avoid this company at all costs.

Rio Movers was awesome. From the start to the finish working with them was an easy experience. We spoke to many other moving companies and Rio Movers surpassed what others offered. The movers arrived on time. They were professional and courteous. We would highly recommend Rio Movers.

Don't let their affordable price fool you! I attempted to book through Groupon and should have known something was wrong with this company when I called them and they told me they could only accept $49 of the $99 that I paid for. I had to have Groupon refund me the $99 and ended up paying them $185 for 2 movers (labor only).
My move was scheduled for 11/8/25 between 9-11am. The day before my move, I get a phone call from my coordinator Shawn informing me that my movers will be arriving between 12-1pm. That time frame came and went and when I called Shawn, he didn't know where they were. This is when I found out that they hire a third party company.
Shawn was able to get this 3rd party company on the phone and this is when he tells me that Rio did not hire them until 11am that same morning. When I think it can't get any worse, the movers that they sent, called me, and asked that I come pick them up from their location because they lost GPS signal and their phone was about to die.
I've never in my life experienced such unprofessionalism and incoordination with a moving company in my 40 years of living. Against my better judgement, I drove to where they said they were at to find the movers not there. When I asked Shawn for a refund to find new movers, he refused. When I asked to speak to his boss, he put me on hold and the phone got disconnected. Finally around 2:30 or so, the movers showed up. Shawn tried to call me later and I ignored it. Spend the extra money on a reputable company that takes their job seriously! Rio Company is not it!

The 3 gentleman were very professional and efficient!! They moved my items in under 2 hours! Which is unbelievable!
