Cheeky staff even when they know they themselves were at fault.

The problem was with the company stationed Buchanan Bus station. There was a mix up on the boards. They told me this later. The lady there was very cheeky and even after they found out that the problem was with their service and I had missed my bus she STILL insisted on being cheeky and offensive.
Have written an email to their main office explaining in full the terrible experience my daughter and myself had with their service and their staff. Currently waiting on a reply. Will update accordingly once this situation is resolved.

Based with 107 union street subway glasgow.

Came in to this store with getting some food for myself & my son. While waiting to be served i was completely totaly shocked by some young lassie (whom i believe is based with job description with being manager). The appalling atiduge from this person towards other members of public including the way she was speaking to other members of staff... honestly,, this person is in need of wake up call by head office to try deal with this young lassie including some type of action against this young lassie is indeed needed who seems to get away with cheek and not having any means of good manors / customer service! She seems to like with having what looks like a bully type of nature / approach!!! (She seems to have a more better attitude / relationship with her phone rather than doing her job!) - head office you really really need to double check what type of managers are working with in your stores!
Absolutely disgraceful behaviour! This so called young manager clearly is not able to do this type of job she needs either re-trained or to be given a major warning with how bad of a job she’s doing! Along with having a bully type of nature! Sort your management out. I’m sure if this was made known onto Trading Standards Consumers Rights Office then maybe just maybe this manager in this store may have more better different approach towards customers and towards staff members!

Waste of time

Waiting half an hour to go three stops only to be told the trains are cancelled.

IT'S A CIRCLE.

How do you mismanage a giant O?

Outer circle closed and inner circle a shambles. Got on at Hillend and put off in the middle of nowhere with no prior warning having to then pay for a taxi home. I rarely use the subway however I would strongly advise people not to use this system as its an embarrassment to our city.

Love the clockwork orange.

One of the best ways to get around glasgow is the clockwork orange. Very regular service with each running every few minutes. Concession tickets are available by using concession card which can be pre loaded with cash at any counter. My only issue is that not all platforms have disabled access which restricts usage for some. If you are worried about being on wrong platform, the subway goes in a loop so even if you get on wrong side you will still get to where you wanted to go just slightly longer so don't panic. Subway carriages are well maintained.

CONCESSION CARD ISSUER IN SCOTLAND BUT CANNOT BE CONTACTED.

In Scotland it is this Company that issues the Bus Passes for over 60's.
I live in a Town where the Council & Post Offices do not issue these cards. There is no office at the Bus Terminus either. There is also no public ticket Office in the City (Glasgow) 30 miles away.
I contacted SPT more than a month ago and received no reply.I tried again 2 weeks ago - same non result.7 days ago I checked the website and contact E mail address and again contacted them about getting an over 60's concession card.Again no reply. It was during a further check on their contact details that I noticed the response time is 4 weeks !!.It also goes onto say that they might not reply at all - so why have an email address if people won't get a reply ?..

Situation now is that I will be 60 years old in 6 days.I have not been more than a mile from my home since 1997 and was looking forward to getting away for the day on my Birthday but if SPT will not communicate with me and issue me with one of the concession cards I will be going no where.
How the UK Government can put a company that cannot be contacted in charge of issuing concession cards is beyond me.

Strangely the young drug addicts and Alcoholics are automatically issued with cards without having to do anything,(I think it is their Doctors or social workers that arrange everything), to get free travel for themselves and a friend but someone like myself who has paid into society all my life cannot even contact the company which issues the cards.
I will now never be able to get out and about so might as well give up and remain virtually housebound.
A disgrace.

I have been having problems with my concession card at underground stations, so recently a younger girl at Govan station advised me to ask staff to issue me with a paper based ticket. Today I was travelling early and not aware that my ticket was not valid until 9.00, so I offered to purchase full price ticket. The girl that was serving me still insisted that I placed my concession card on the reader, arrogant, ignorant and I don't ever want to use this station again. I was not rude and didn't use any expletives incidentally. 8

Glasgow subway is a joke

Glasgow subway is probably the most unreliable, overpriced and overcrowded public transport system in europe. The inner circle or outer circle are consistently off at peak times throughout the week and the reliability of trains varies wildly from 5 minutes to 19 minutes making some journeys a complete waste of money and time. The staff are often like a brick wall and the whole operation has a "like it or lump it" mentality. If you need to use the subway on a regular basis then you simply will not receive a reliable transportation system in comparison to what you pay. Overall the Glasgow subway is an absolute joke and an embarrassment for Glasgow. A transportation system in a major city that shuts after 5 on a sunday is ridiculous beyond belief.
Extremely Unreliable
Overpriced
Anti-social
If you can use any other form of transport I urge you to do so.

Rude & mean staff

Avoid this station due to the rude & incompetent staff that work there. Complaint was put in writing and SPT responded with a blatant lie on what happened that night. Not only are their staff members rude but also liars trying to cover their own backs. If you're looking for a relaxed friendly service definitely avoid this station!!
