£75 has been taken from my account for a six-month membership—money I was not expecting and had budgeted for other expenses. I have emailed the customer service team to request a refund but have not received a response. Please can someone contact me as soon as possible to arrange for my money to be refunded, as per your terms and conditions for memberships exceeding a month.

Zero customer service and no one to speak to. Another faceless online platform.

What a shame you do not do enhance criminal records check.
You have a man in your employment who you have let loose on many TV sets where there are children.
He sent disgusting images to what he believed was a 13 year old.
He was arrested for child sex offenses and is going to be reinvestigated therefore his name cannot be put here in fear that it may interfere with his court appearance when re-arrested and charged.

Maddog 2020 promised to pay myself and my wife in full by end of jan24 for work done as film extras in June and September 2023. They did not pay anything despite a written promise. !!!

It’s platform for scammers for the most part. Otherwise the jobs offered are underpaid considering the industry standards.

I saw a role I'd fit today, but as soon as I saw that I needed to make a payment, I realised it was a scam. It's against the law to charge job seekers to pay any kind of upfront fee.

I've just decided to report this sender as spam.

In the 2 years I was subscribed StarNow never contacted me, only took care that the money was paid. Now they have put my account on 'expired' but I paid for a full year last April 2023. I have learned that proper model agencies never even ask for payment.. So it all looks to be a scam.

I found the website and features quite alright. However despite applying for many jobs, I did not get a single call back. I emailed the customer service asking why this was the case and they sent me a standard reply saying I should upload my headshots and self tapes. These (and more!) were already on there so I had to conclude that this platform is not really great to book jobs. I am now eligible for Spotlight so hoping for a better experience on there.

They let 1 month paid active subscription work OK only to scam you next month onwards. Subscription amount debited 2 months in a row without letting me apply to anything stating I don't have an active subscription! Contacted customer service who can neither refund nor allow applying for anything on their site . What a scam!

Terrible platform which needs to either shut down or have a complete overhaul.

Jobs on the platform are offensive regarding pay.

Edit: I can't even edit my profile and change my location within my Google Chrome desktop browser.

How on earth can a portfolio web application these days not be mobile-friendly??
I accidentally changed my profile from public to private, and now I cannot change it since I am on mobile and don't have access to a desktop pc browser. Even changing to a desktop agent didn't help!
I mean, seriously!?
I am now very sorry for my over-a-decade, paid memberships!

After they changed all jobs are rubbish and some not even for actors, theatre, music, modelling and entertainment as they look for user ears and delivered drivers to front of house and reception jobs on hotels and restaurants

This site is getting worse. The only jobs posted nowadays are for UGC and testimonial ads for tik tok etc!!!! This site used to be great for finding well paid modelling jobs. The only modelling jobs advertised now are from companies who seem to think it’s ok to pay a full day rate of £60 - £80 which is far below national minimum wage and they even have the cheek to make that fee include all your travel costs and usage/ buyout fees!! I pay my subscription every month for what????

Someone created profile of me with picture here and they're not deleting it. I asked multiple times for them to remove it,but they never did that.

I used StarNow for years to find models and actors for small jobs, and it was a simple but effective platform.

Recently, I needed a voice actor for a small media project, but when I tried to log in, I was asked to pay £3 to validate my profile.

To validate my profile, it requests my passport, CV, and external profile proofs. The support team writes to me that I am required to be verified because I am a ‘new employer’ - yet I was on StarNow for seven years already.

I strongly dislike this, so I contacted support to cancel the validation process and remove all my data from StarNow systems. The support team replied, saying that I have to contact the third-party data processor by myself. This is a joke.

I am really puzzled what happened with this previously useful site.

You can pre-screen all you want but if there is no helpdesk available and no customer service, your videos are not going to be uploaded in time for a deadline. Happened one too many times. This site is now a liability for all subscribers. I had a long term association with starnow. It is disappointing to see the site just not performing, literally, like it used to back in the early 2000s. They also don't respond to feedback either. I cancelled. But I am open to review this review if they refund the last 6 months of wasted time.

Avoid ! Scamers

It's a total and utter scam. I have been going almost four years paying for my images to be posted and my information. I had my time being wasted by some idiot being carny and spiteful. I was asked to email myself being naked without nothing on and he said if I can't then big deal he asked me to travel without pay for 4 hours.

I have been an SA for over 14 years and this Agency is the worst for payment.
Last payment 13 weeks and outstanding up to 9 weeks.......no other agency takes so long or lies to you when you chase up.
Do the production companies pay and they hold on to the money?
They need looking in to......urgently.
