Wiped all my data on the site, then refused to refund me after acknowledging the issue.

Please go back to the previous format. That new horrible one makes things impossible. You have deleted our previous casting calls.

It has now been a WHOLE MONTH since all my data disappeared and you have failed at migrating my data from the old to your new website. The only few things on my profile at the moment are only those I uploaded on Backstage a while ago, not on Starnow. I had a lot more on Starnow including photos, videos, voice recordings, description and credits, which are still completely missing. Moreover, I have been requesting a refund for the inconvenience and inability to work this has caused, by emailing you as advised and have never heard back (it has been 3 weeks). Why won't you admit that you have lost my data and I have no other choice but to rebuild it entirely? Please reply to my emails as soon as possible and issue a refund as requested. Thank you.

For anyone out there who uses StarNow as a platform for acting/presenting work please use the link to get it changed back to the old format. You'll be aware it has recently changed to a much more complicated system when there was nothing wrong with the original way. Please help restore the old system and sign the petition.

Used to be a great site but they have completely ruined it! Don't answer emails either. Something very fishy going on or they've been taken over by clowns 🤡 do not trust them anymore.

I believe the bad reviews speak for themselves, but I would still like to tell my story. I need to use StarNow for my job and to find work, but it's so disappointing how unhelpful and unreliable they are.
After teaming up with Backstage they just removed my subscription! I messaged them about it, but they're ignoring my emails and not getting back to me. I've been with them for two years now! I filed a report to the manager (I had personally spoken to her) because I was sexually harassed by another StarNow member, but she didn't respond to it and ignored the issue. I also complained to her as one of my jobs has promised a video reel for your resume me, but I still haven't received it after 2 years.
I had arguments with her because none of my listings for collaborations and work were ever approved because I didn't offer pay (which you don't have to if it's a collab or student work), even though they were many other listings that were uploaded who don't offer any payment and just used it for their personal gain. I even send them evidence of these listings and explained how contradicting StarNow were. I'm not sure why StarNow is so discriminating towards me, but this wasn't the first time. I don't know why a company like this doesn't want to help their artists, especially since we're the ones bringing you money. You'd think they have a passion for people, but they don't. They literally couldn't care less! It's sad.

I have been a pro member on star now for many years with top status. I have had many high profile jobs from this website and just now finished a year TV programme. I took pride in organising my profile and adjusting photos for the relevant jobs. I was absolutely horrified and deeply dissapointed at the new update which is poor quality and extremely difficult to use. I had followers and was following people. What on earth were you thinking when changing this site to what is now of poor quality. I am gutted !! I find it so awful that I will be cancelling my membership along with other members.

They won't let you delete your account!They don't respond to emails or messages. Avoid!

Star Now was good and easy to use but the new layout is difficult to use. The photo gallery seems to be upside down i.e. my most recent work is now at the end of the gallery and not at the beginning where it used to be and there doesn't appear to be any way to reverse it. Who in their right mind would do that ? The only way I can correct this is to drag each image back to it's correct position. Don't think I'll bother I won't be renewing my account.

Starnow used to be really wonderful there were lots of lots of paid and opportunities to volunteer for when people had no budget but big ideas and this helped those who were interested in updating their portfolios. Starnow was very easy to navigate and exciting to use. Now it is absolutely difficult to use and looks UGLY AF. I will be downgrading my membership if not deleting it. Because it's so much effort to use now. How are we suppose to get jobs and advertise effectively. Star Now sort this out please. Bring the old starnow back . Cheers and thank you.

Starnow was previously a good site prior to being purchased by backstage, albeit offering work at lower pay rates than industry despite their protestations. Since the takeover profiles have been lost, work in progress gone and functionality gone. Complaints are answered with cookie cutter responses if at all. Do not recommend.

Like most other recent reviewers, we used to love Starnow but since they decided to change their whole website it has been a complete disaster. My daughter's profile has reverted to how it was four years ago and despite their claims her up-to-date profile will be reinstated, nothing happens. It took considerable work to upload all the content and keep it current and they just don't seem to care...not a hint of an apology or compensation for this giant cock-up!

Since Backstage bought StarNow everything's fallen apart. It's utterly useless so don't waste your time

Star Now was a Great Site, But Now it is dreadful, DO NOT WASTE ANY MONEY ON IT. Complaints are all ignored, Total waste of Money

Until recently my experience was excellent - but then they decided to make changes which do not include implementing the KISS principle. Now I struggle to use it and don’t expect any further use of this site as a result - a waste of money. Why can’t you just leave things alone ? It worked fine. I’m sure you’ll loose business due to this change. You didn’t even announce the change in name…really..! It must be a 20something making these decisions - showing a lack of business experience and definitely not inclusive. Thanks a lot. You’ll just have to learn the hard way, just like you’ve made it for so many of us. So foolish. Miffed.

I’m getting advertising jobs from Australia? I’m uk can’t even change it very frustrating over the couple of years I’ve only had one proper job which was a few weeks ago and a collaboration which is a freebie for Instagram and that’s not even in my account history so how am I supposed to leave company a review?

So very sad..have had a wonderful positive 5 years with Starnow, many jobs and great communication…But now they have changed their Platform and it’s absolutely hopeless, lost history, unable to prioritise photos, no communication whatsoever! Casting Managers are telling me how difficult it now is to check our Profiles and consider us for roles..I still keep receiving jobs but most of them are not Acting or Modelling jobs, such as Video Editors, Content creators! which are useless to me…So many problems to add here..just very sad!

I had membership but at covid time wasn't any jobs. But this company until now taking money without my accepting. Its not nice .I haven't got any jobs .they doing nothing only taking money for membership .I stopped it but they taking from PayPal again...
