Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 338 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers found the quality of the products to be poor, describing them as dry, stale, and made with cheap ingredients, which often resulted in an unpleasant taste and texture. Reviewers also frequently mentioned that the products were overpriced for the quality received, with some comparing them unfavorably to supermarket alternatives. The long wait times for orders, often extending beyond the advertised period, were a significant source of frustration for many, especially given the perceived low quality of the items upon arrival. Some people were dissatisfied with the customer service, citing rudeness and being blocked on social media for raising concerns about quality or wait times. Conversely, a small portion of people felt satisfied with their orders, praising the taste, generous portion sizes, and overall quality of the baked goods, stating they were well worth the wait.

Our first mystery box

I placed my order in September 2025 and, yes, the wait was long, but that was part of the fun. Mystery cakes arriving on a mystery day? We were fully on board.

Unfortunately, the delivery didn’t quite go to plan. It was marked as delivered but never showed up. I emailed, and Nikita got back to me quickly and chased it up straight away. She was really helpful and clearly understood my disappointment (and my slight cake-related heartbreak).

I mentioned we’d probably order again in the future anyway, curiosity alone would see to that - but instead, they sent out a replacement box at no extra charge, which was genuinely appreciated. Thank you, Terry and Nikita!

All I can say is we thoroughly enjoyed the cakes. So much so that we’ve decided it’s now a family treat, we’re planning a few random orders and turning it into a bi-monthly surprise.

Honestly, I don’t really understand the negative reviews. I ordered knowing there’d be a wait. Is it long? Yes. Slightly ridiculous? Also yes. But it’s a small operation - one man, one woman, running a business, raising a family, and somehow still posting out boxes of joy.

Keep doing what you’re doing… we’ll be back (impatiently waiting, but happily so).

I knew there was a wait but 6 months

I knew there was a wait but 6 months. Come on 6 months on 4 cakes. To be fair they were off good size. Wish they wasn’t tho. Very very very dry. You can tell instantly it’s cheap ingredients. The quality isn’t there at all. I jump on the bandwagon when I should have fallen of it. Won’t be buying again.

Can’t comment on the cakes as I ticked…

Can’t comment on the cakes as I ticked the box that said it would be a 12 week wait, but after 6 months I decided to cancel it. Who wants to wait 1/2 a year for some cakes. Also reviews are all poor. They didn’t care when I requested a refund (still waiting for it) and just said no problem, order cancelled. They must get a lot of cancel requests. I just don’t understand why he keeps opening up for new orders when he has a 6 month backlog. Also his social media is just him constantly moaning about making drip cakes. Get new content, it’s getting boring now so have unfollowed

Vile Cakes get refunds if you can

I waited just shy of 6 months and was it worth it No it wasn’t. All the cakes tasted raw. All cakes were very dry and portion sizes very small. Why is he still taking orders when he’s got a 6 month wait. If I was you I’d get a refund as there vile

when ordered was asked to tick a box…

when ordered was asked to tick a box saying 12 week wait, i did this even though i thought it was quite a wait......the reality is it takes closer to 6 months so almost double his advertised wait. When they turned up they were fairly large but were very average cakes! Would probably avoid in future, the 6 month delay is a terrible business policy if something happens for whatever reason and he cant fulfil orders do you think he has the money to refund 6 months worth of orders? After looking into him it seems he has a habit of doing this and then running a go fund me to get him out of trouble.......

Taste like they have been frozen

Taste like they have been frozen, the cake was all squashed and for £25 it’s totally not worth it.
Didn’t care that I had to wait 5 months for delivery but was really hoping they would be great to make the wait more worth it.

I’m sorry to say I got suckered into…

I’m sorry to say I got suckered into his initial social media hype he was different new and with a good vibe and he made cakes, what’s not to like.
Prior to ordering I enquired as to the wait time and was planning a holiday so didn’t want them to arrive whilst away.
However his customer service skills are non existent, my question remained unanswered as I was deleted from his social media platforms.
I was disappointed but also relieved as the advertised ‘up to 12 weeks’ has turned into 6 months wait, with any genuine questions removed and the poster deleted.
Wow !
Not recommended, support your local cake shed or reputable baker
This chap doesn’t seem to care one bit about customers and spends more time visiting cities and splashing out on top notch clothing and food for himself rather than for filling orders.
He’s no influencer and no baker !

Ordered in september and we only…

Ordered in september and we only recieved the box, stale and not nice at all, Multiple broken headbutted and wasted cakes posted on his socials whilst he has a 6 nearly 7 months back log. What to do is stop taking orders until you fulfill the ones you have but think the money is making the greed really show in big terry. Will never order again

Awful waited months for mystery box to arrive. Finally received I was so hoping to prove everyone wrong and they be lovely tasty bakes but my god they were awful my 5 year old could make better. Dry stale and just awful.
You can’t contact him regarding your order as he just abuses you then blocks you for speaking up. And then calls those that have ordered trolls while out spending there money. I really hope this horrid man gets his karma as he and his wife are nothing but scam artists

Well what I can I say crap !

Well what I can I say . The 6 month wait is ridiculous . You don't mind that sort of wait if you got something that is extremely good but to sit and wait for some cakes that aren't even mediocre is crazy . Looking on his socials he only uses the cheapest ingredients he can get his hands on ( while he indulges himself and family with top brands ) I'm really unsure as to how he is still going . Nothing but a fraud ripping people off for cakes that are even worth couple pound a slice . WILL NEVER USE AGAIN !
