I am exceptionally happy & had a very good experience purchasing glasses from Thinlenses.uk Normally, I would purchase glasses in the U.S. where I live but there is no place that produces thin glass lenses here. With my high index prescription, astigmatism, & nearsightedness, (-10.5 OD & -12.75 OS) even the highest available 1.74 refraction, the polycarbonate lenses always came out disappointingly thick like magnifying glasses which were an embarrassment to wear. The solution is to get 1.90 glass lenses. There is a place in Canada but it's incredibly expensive... about $1,200 + you have to go fly or drive there. They do not do not sell online. No one in the U.S. does 1.90 glass lenses because apparently they are considered a safety issue here. They might be for an active teenager who plays baseball or football but, I'm an office worker so I don't have to worry about that. Anyway, I had a great customer service experience with Ash Metha who answered all my questions & concerns prior to my placing an order. We had excellent communications via email. I sent him my prescription & he provided me with all the details on how to make the process of buying glasses overseas pleasant & easy. I selected & purchased my own frames from my local optician and sent the frames to the U.K. where Ash took care of the rest. Shipping took a bit longer b/c of the pandemic & he informed me in advance of a possible delay. When they arrived I was so elated that my new glass lenses came out much thinner that I could get here in the U.S. Also, when you get glasses in the U.S., 99% of the time they charge you extra & separately for anti-reflective, UV & scratch resistance coatings. Thinlenses includes these FREE. The price was so reasonable, considering they are bi-focal as well, I'll probably use them to get a second pair. I highly recommend this company if you have a high index prescription. I am a Very Happy & Satisfied Customer. I wish I could post photos of before & after to show you the difference on here.

I got my new glasses and I am very happy. I was a bit tired of the black and dark colors frames so these ones, almost clear, looks very well and gives light to my face. The prescription is correct and the lenses perfect considering my high prescription. Although I know i will never see very clear because i suffer of miodesopsias ( floating filaments), at least my lenses don´t look like magnifying glasses!
I recommend this site very much- Oh, and fast delivery to Spain.

Just received my new glasses and I am delighted with them. I have a strong prescription, so the double aspheric lenses made a real difference both optically and cosmetically to my old high index lenses. I'm really happy with my decision to order my new glasses from ThinLenses. The frames are lovely and by selecting the 1.9 glass high index option, they look so much nicer than any of the glasses I have worn in the past. I've received so many compliments already! I used another service before these guys and they sent me glasses that where broken/wrong perscription! was a right headache to sort, Found these guys gladly, my perscription is quite high so I need thin lenses, they recomended me double Aspheric Lenses after placing my order so chose them. Received the glasses today and they are top notch, they have taken care with them and are spot on as I requested.

I would use the company again, I fully recommend them if you need thin lenses.

Have just received my sunglasses and am extremely impressed with the quality and the incredibly quick turnaround. The level of customer service and communication was excellent. Only thing that would have made it better would be the ability to see photos of the different colours and gradients of tinted lenses available before choosing. I'm so excited to finally have some prescription sunglasses that suit me! Thanks Ash and the rest of the team.

Dear Ash, I want to thank you so much for your wonderful, diligent and as always superb customer service - simply awesome. Ben and I were so excited when my Calvin Kelin eyeglasses arrived, not just in excellent condition, but in an incredibly timely manner. And this was during the holidays. All I needed to do was put them on and go - no adjustments or anything. They're perfect, and we're so pleased!

I have glasses that I have had for 7 years which I love, however, wear and tear meant I needed to find another pair. I tried many on in various opticians but couldn't find any that suited me like these. So I googled my glasses in the hope I could find another exact pair. I find they have been discontinued but Thinlenses had one pair left. I was was so excited!!
On contacting Thin Lenses, Ash immediately emailed that they had one left only. I called them and Ash answered. We had a very useful and informative discussion. I completed my order online. Ash helped when I had a query on completing the order. The PayPal payment went through and the glasses turned up in 10days by recorded delivery. I also had an email telling me that they had been despatched.
Overall, I cannot fault Thinlenses, they were very helpful, very affordable and I got my discontinued glasses with the promise to let me know if they find anymore of my frames! 😊

Great lenses, great communications and a lot cheaper than the high street. Only problem is their use of Royal Mail ‘signed for’ delivery... who will not leave with a neighbour or a safe place, so had to collect from local post office, which delayed receipt by a week.
Not really Thinlenses fault, but thought I would mention it!

I asked questions. Then I asked MORE questions. I checked reviews, and still did not receive what was discussed.

My eyeglass prescription is fairly severe, and this company claimed they could help.

Long story short,, after about a month, I received lenses that were the same thickness, if not a tad thicker than what I am accustomed to here in the states.

After I complained, they even instructed me to lie so that I would not incur full customs fees shipping back the not-at-all-thin-lensed-eyeglasses. Looking at the customs declaration info, it looked like that had lied in order to get them here more cheaply.

The customs declaration read "repaired glasses" instead of new, or however they are supposed to be identified. I did receive my money back after pointing this out to them.

Thinlenses.co.uk were the only company to stock the glasses that I wanted, after accidentally breaking my two pairs: they couldn’t have been more helpful in informing me when the frames had arrived at their office, and requesting me to send the broken ones in. They swiftly put my existing lenses into the new frames and returned to me. From start to finish in under 7 days. Superb!

I'm in the U.S. and double aspheric lenses are not available here. I wanted the thinnest lenses possible due to having high myopia which typically results in very thick lenses. After doing much research, I was fortunate to discover Thinlenses.co.uk.

I called them to discuss my prescription and then called again before placing the order. Ash Mehta spoke with me both times. He is a gentleman, informative, knowledgeable and very patient. I then placed the order online using their website.

The eyeglasses arrived within about 2 weeks and I was very pleased with the results. I did need a slight frame adjustment due to my unusual situation and my local optician did this in 5 minutes or less for no fee.

I would happily do business with this very ethical, honest, professional company again in the future. I would most definitely recommend them to anyone looking for professionally-made, high-quality eyeglasses.

Use the for the first time - sent my glasses to be re-glazed with a new prescription. Have a high prescription so went for the super thin flat lens,

Sent on the Thursday I think and had them back by the Sat - amazing service and the lenses look great.

My optician didn't even offer me these lens (just the high index ones). Next time I will get my prescription from the optician and order them online.

Dealt with them before, and will deal with again shortly; the lenses have staid put for over two years (major problem for me in the past is cranky badly fitting lenses from supposedly professional high street opticians)

The quality is very good: I went for the thinnest varial focals, something I probably couldn't afford to do on the high street.

I tend to buy my frames independently and this is something they don't worry about, which is nice.

I can’t praise this company enough and the customer service I had from Ash. Very helpful from a preliminary enquiry through to ordering. They fitted new index 1.74 lenses to my sons frames and made them really thin that even he had to admit they were cool. Would use again for sure.

I turned to Thinlenses because I have such a complex prescription that my optician could no longer find anyone who manufactures my prescription to a 1.9 index. I have to admit I was terrified about ordering because my prescription is VERY complex (-15.5 and -16.75) and I really could not believe that somebody could make me a pair of glasses that would not only fit me, but also be the right prescription for just £244 including frames (the cheapest quote I could get for LENSES ONLY at 1.7 index was £550). Ash was extremely helpful and reassuring and so I placed my order with trepidation. However, when my glasses arrived I was astonished to find they actually fitted me better and gave me better vision than my old ones! And they are so lightweight and comfortable too. I really cannot recommend this optician enough - if they can deal with my prescription, they can deal with anything!
