I was in a serious financial bind!
I was in a serious financial bind. I saw an ad for Timberline Financial on the computer, so I called (being very leery!) and was pleasantly surprised to feel safe and secure with such positive people! Everyone at Timberline is extremely professional and knowledgable. I ended up using Timberline to help me with credit card debt. I had 4 credit cards in their program and it took 2 and a half years, but I am now debt free. If you or someone you know needs help, I highly recomment Timberline Financial!! I can honestly say, I feel like they saved me from doom and gloom! Thank you soooo much TJ, Natasha and all the other wonderful people that helped me through this amazing experience!

Disappointment
The first 3 years of my program were okay. I made my monthly deposits to GCS and accounts were settled. There was an instance where I had to submit extra funds but it avoided legal action. Over the past year I have been concerned with the final remaining account, the largest, which was still unresolved, or so I thought. I made several calls attempting to find out information. I never received a return call. My plan ended 1/30/2020. Tuesday, 4/14/2020, I received a call regarding a settlement offer. The offer included a requirement that I add even more funds. None of the customer service people I spoke to could explain the offer so a request was sent to the negotiator to call me. While on this call I learned another account I thought had been settled was not. The same negotiator was in charge of the account. The negotiator actually called me back. He explained the offer and the reason there was a need for more funds. However, with the second unresolved account I will now have to pay even more money. I feel Timberline Financial grossly underestimated their ability to negotiate the settlements and/or were not realistic in their "estimation" as to what they could negotiate the amount down to. My plan was supposed to be over but I will now be paying another year plus in payments.

I am under a phenomenal amount of…
I am under a phenomenal amount of pressure and stress right now. I was not provided any assurance that TLF would be able to continue to handle my debt resolution if I have to forego my payment of $551 which has a scheduled withdrawal day on April 20, 2020. I am going to do everything in my power to make this happen but as of today I’m not sure how. I would’ve been nice to have some understanding and assurance. Telling me that you might have to default on me just adds to the pressure and stress I feel right now. This is my honest opinion.
Thank you,
David Ennen

Review your best options!!!
if there was an option to do 0 star I will rate this company 0 accountability.
I'm going to give you an advice; if find yourself in financial hardship talk to your creditors and they will give you the same deals they work with this type of companies. Timberline Financial will tell you Not to speak with your creditors and will promise you they will protect you and work on your behalf. Bank of America sued and at the end Timberline Financial left me on my own, they wanted me to pay the full amount to BOA and on top of that I had to pay Timberline Financial 25% of that amount??
this is how it works:
if I owe 50K, Timberline Financial will work on my behalf to my creditors, they will ask me to stop sending payments to them.
Timberline Financial will charge me 25% of the full amount I owem to my creditors for their services.
the Creditors will report to the IRS the money Timberline Financial save me as an income, that means if I owe $50,000 Timberline Financial will charge you $12,500 if I'm lucky they might save me $20,000 and the IRS will charge me taxes on this 20K
They will ask me to open an Escrow account so they can start making payments to the first creditor once they reach out to an agreement. They can't work with the other creditors till I have more funds in my Escrow account however, they take the 25% for their services even before they finish paying the first creditor.
Timberline Financial will tell you it will takes a couple of years to finish the whole process, NOT true, it all depends how much money you put to the Escrow account, how much you owe to your creditors and how many creditors you owe money to. The start was very easy, friendly agent, easy to communicate with and professional but once the time passed you will find out how rude they are. I went through a lot of issues with them. I followed all the instruction they asked me to do from, Not answering any questions to any creditors, direct them to Timberline Financial, forward any letters from your creditors to Timberline immediately and the most important part, Do Not skip any payment to your Escrow account, this last part hast to come straight from your Bank account and has to be automatic, they will make sure they are taking the money from your account with your consent. I'm going to name all the issues I went through:
- Long time to answer the phone (they have a recording) some times it will take me hours for some one to answer,
-Rude Customer Service reps (some times they will hung up the phone on me)
- They will Not transfer your call to a supervisor, really??
-If I called to confirm if they received the documentation I sent they will say it will take up to 5 business days for the system to get it, really, it's an email with an attachment??
- if after 5 days they have not received the documentation I had to send it again......
- They will say some one will call you back, not true I had to go back and start the whole process again and wait for some one to answer the phone.
- I finally contacted two of my creditors and they said Timberline had never sent any offers to them even and I had $9,000 in my escrow account after they paid off one of my creditor and took their commission.
- The worse part is if you get a law suit- good luck you are on your own, they blamed their third party Company that handles their law suits and the other company will tell you they never received any documentation from Timberline.
I started my journey with them on January 2018 and ended on November 2019.
due to the fact that they did not want to represent me at the court with BOA I had no choice .
I hired an attorney to filed for bankruptcy and to get my money back from Timberline
I learn that if I stopped making payments to my creditors, I could easily speak with them and make better deals than Timberline Financial. Usually the creditors will listen and when they see no payment are made they want to work with you and settle,
I do not recommend this company.
good luck!!

Negligent
I’ve had this company for over a year. Debts are still not settled and now I’m being sued by a creator of Bank of America.
I trusted Timberline to consolidate in a timely manner and communicate with creditors to avoid this and now I’m being sued due their negligence. I
I can’t even get a statement reflecting what’s been paid, reconciled or where we are in the process and it’s been a year!! How do I know if Bank of America has even been contacted.
At this point Timberline is hurting me more than helping me, I want a refund and will go with another company. Ridiculous.

Always helpful and informative
Everytime I have called and spoken to a representative, they have always been extremely patient and kind to me. I know I have a lot of questions but I have never felt annoyance or frustration from anyone but have always gotten very helpful and detailed explanations. This has been a scary process based on the responses of the creditors but the representatives at Timberline have continuously calmed those fears. I appreciate the helpful and prompt responses I get everytime. Thank you all!
