My Subaru XV was rendered undriveable…

My Subaru XV was rendered undriveable by rodents chewing various cables. Subaru main dealer would charge an extortionate fee and take 6 months to carry out a repair. TRS at Sandiacre took on the job and completed the insulation of the chewed wiring within a few days. I now have a fully working Subaru XV and am completely satisfied with the work carried out at reasonable cost. Thank you TRS and Adam Clarke who kept me informed of the work progress.

What an excellent company!

I found this company to be very friendly and professional to deal with all throughout my car being repaired, i was loaned a brand new courtesy car to keep me on the road which was lovely! And was kept well informed of any costs for repairing my car which was explained to me very clearly, they even did an inspection on it for me while they had it and found a tyre which was nearly illegal which i didn't know about (i don't know anything about cars!) So potentially saved me from an expensive fine or even saved me having an accident! If only all companies were like this one! Will definitely use them again and recommend :-)

Trs Vehicle Repair centre / trs Commercials ltd de74qu ( RAC approved garage )

I had the misfortune to have to call the rac out to my van , i was taken to trs commercial ltd de74qu ,at around 9.18am as a approved rac garage , i was led into reception , the rac man said to the lady in reception i had a faulty abs sensor , i was greeted and then rushed a courtesy car form to sign, and i was then led to a fiat 500 and told i would get a call that afternoon in regards to the fixing of my van ... that afternoon around 2pm trs called as promised telling me that i needed a new rear wheel bearing as mine was totally collasped , and that it may have taken out the abs sensor . and the charge todo the works would be £277 , however after carrying our courtesy checks on my vehicle as they do with all customers my front brake pads could do with really changing, and if i wanted to go ahead and have them do it it would be £377 total , this i disagreed to and just authorized trs to do the wheel bearing work and abs sensor if needed for £277 . however the van wouldnt be ready today as the sensor wouldnt get on a van, infact it would be on the lastvan so my van would be ready the following day ( friday 25th november 2016) , i just sucked it upa nd thought ohwell , anyway having had no call from the garage in the morning to say if my van was ready or not i rang the garage as was told it was done, they hadnt had to change the sensor so my bill would be less than quoted, and i could pick my vehicle up at 10am , so i made myway to trs and dropped off the fiat 500 i had borrowed and picked up my van, along with the paperwork supplied by trs . upon arriving home i thought id read what id been charged for , and surprisingly i had been charged £45 just for trs to look at my van and generate work for themselves ?? .i was too be honest very shocked, so i rang trs to ask what this charge was and for, i was put through to service where i believe i spoke to .... / or .... cant quite remember her name, anyway a lady in reception, she told me it was a standard charge and that everyone gets charged it, as they have to investigate my vehicle, i pointed out at no time had i been made aware of a initial charge would be made of £45 so they can gerrate there own work , she pointed out it was in reception somewhere on a board and it was my fault i didnt see it, it was also on the courtesy car form that was thrust under my nose to sign, and i obviously had missed it there too, i pointed out again in our initial meeting and her afternoon quote not once did she mention i would be charge £45 just for them to look at my vehicle to generate work for themselves . i was then given various scerinos that it was a standard garage charge and that if i had took it to a main dealer i would actually be paying them atleast £77 (not including vat) for them to inspect my vehicle for me , i gave trs opportunity to put things right, and all i was told was write a letter or email and i will look at it . i made a point in saying if i had been made aware of the charge by rac or reception and all the staff at trs, i would have took it to a local independent and saved myself £45 off a possible bill . I am actually very upset by the whole situation . and i hope something is done about the way i have been treated , misinformed and overcharged . More than likely will never use trs commercials again . Based on the last 2 days events . UNDER , the Rac charter the garage is meant to operate under it states that customers get honest pricing, and prices will be transparent , i had found this not to be the case . may i just say, not once did the rac man or the garage say to me from the get go that there was and would be a charge of £45 for the rac approved garage i would be taken too and arrived at would charge me to look at my vehicle.

and i assure you if clear honest pricing was shown as per your charter , i would have not let the rac patrol man take/guide me there .

And i also doubt many people would want togo to a garage if they were prewarned of a charge of £45 (excluding vat) to visit a approved rac garage / servicesureautocentre member garage

p.s .. can i make this very important and casing point too , and add further wait to my email and concerns about the hidden, nontransparent (made up charge of £45 ex vat) ,

....my courtesy vehicle health check, they give to every vehicle . would that not have picked up a damaged wheel bearing ?? i suspect it would have ? ..

I am very unhappy as previously mentioned . thank you
