We have just received a cold call from this company who shouldn't have our business telephone number on their database as we are a TPS number. When I told the salesman this he tried to make out that we hadn't updated our number (it is listed on the TPS site). We've been listed as TPS for over ten years! I have reported them on the TPS website complaints page. No doubt as with other reviewers on here I will get a reply to this review from them asking me to email them my telephone number so they can remove it from their database. No thanks. Here's an idea True Telecom, how about spending some of your money and buying an up to date database, then you won't call TPS numbers. A Telecoms company should know better than any others what a TPS listing means.

This company snatched my line from my existing provider against my wishes leaving me without a broadband connection for two weeks.
They did have the honesty to admit their error in ignoring an email I sent, within the cooling off period, requesting a proposed transfer should not be continued with but it has been very inconvenient not to have broadband.
It has taken them five days to provide an interim broadband facility for me to use whilst my original ISP regains the line.
I was given this day (Friday 26th) possibly not until midnight, as the day which my full service would be up and running, but with the assistance of Michael James by 3.30pm I was back online.

I have had my reservations about the service i have received in the past from true telecom but have to say that my conversation with Adam today has been most helpful and positive and at present most of my faith in True Telecom has been restored.

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Diabolical company.I canceled before the contract started once i found out their broadband wasnt the same as i already had with bt as they were selling it to me as the same for half the price. They only canceled the broadband and not phone line as thats what i said apparently then when I challenged them They wanted me to pay to hear the tapes but confirmed i didnt know what i was talking about very very rude. A 2 year contract then ended up being a 3 year contract they add all sorts of add-ons to your bill making it silly prices.Even charge for 1571(never used it) told me it came over with the bt land line added on a scam charge thing (not even they knew what it was but removed it once i complained)i complained and someone would ring me back but dont ring you back when you have a problem. One sales team member pretended to be management to fob me off and get me off the line as when i rang back and asked for him the guy laughed and said he aint management hes just a phone operator.still get cold called now and tell them im with them unfortunatly and what a crock the company is.Stay well clear I'm going back to bt soon as I get contract stopped hopefully by Ofcom soon now there under investigation and i Will make it my mission to tell the world how bad this company really is whist I'm with them. I have logged all my complaints with Ofcom too.dont tell me to email you that's just to show other readers on here that you care. You don't your untrustworth. your sales reps are dishonest about true prices and contract length. Full of it stay with Bt or Virgin these will do you over

EDIT**22/05/17 This company is acting unlawfully by calling numbers registered with TPS (Telephone Preference Service) - several complaints on this review site alone. Pointless reply from True Telecom. It is their "usual practice".
Unsolicited sales call just received from this company offering to save us money instead of BT. When asked for the company address they hung up. Our number is registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) so this company are in breach of the Privacy and Electronic (EC Directive) Regulations 2003. Reported.

They've only got one star because there is no option for 0!
Cold called & promised line rental of £9.03 per month for the same service I was getting elsewhere. First bill arrived for almost £30, rang them and thet then explained all the add on's, these were never mentioned on the sales call, VERY MISLEADING, now after a month of poor service they want an early cancellation fee, absolute daylight robbery. They also offered to supply me with broadband, they even wanted to charge for delivery of the router! NOT mentioned in sales call so I refused, they sent, useless broadband dropping in and out all the time, sent replacement router no change. I had no problems with my previous supplier. These sort of firms need stopping and held to account

I am furious with True Telecom - they have switched me to another broadband provider without giving me any choice or indeed information. I have only just found out because my broadband is not working. I started getting invoices from this new provider and thought they were junk mails. It is a great shame because I signed up because the TT technical team were conscientious and followed through well. I am told that despite the fact I did not sign with this other company, that I am still bound by my contract and will have to pay early exit to leave. Is this legal?

Cold call from True Telecom on 11th April from Alex Taylor. We were told that our business line rental would be £9.03 instead of BT £18.99 (untrue), broadband £17.99, calls 1.1p and mobile calls 11p. Gave him bank sort code and account number and said we would look at the paperwork
Paperwork arrived 13th April and, after discussion, we decided not to go ahead.
Bank holiday weekend so true telecom not working.
Rang True on Monday 18th April - no one working. Rang again on Tuesday 18th April, spoke to Thomas and cancelled order (within the cooling off period.
Rang BT 18th April and asked them not to allow True to take over the line and calls.
Our telephone went dead sometime before 3rd May. It was reported to BT several times but the problem was not resolved.
Telephone eventually came back on about 6th May.
Rang bt on Monday 8th May and were told that True telecom had taken over the line and calls. BT agreed to take the line and calls back but not before 22nd May
Broadband went off 10th May. Rang BT to be told that the contract had been stopped. ?by whom. Apparently by True telecom from whom we have never had any communication regarding broadband.
Rang True and spoke to Harrison who admitted that it was True's mistake but it cannot be rectified until the line goes back to BT on 22nd May. So we, as a small business, have no broadband for 12 days at least.

This company is a complete pain in the A*se. They ring me 3-4 times a week with the usual sales patter and take no regard of my repeated requests for them not to call me again.
I wouldn't touch them with my longest barge pole.

Very helpful and prompt with their response, the kind of people who realise that you need to resolve problems quickly. Thank you very much

Rang with the line issue at 8.30 am, was lucky and truetelcom arranged an Engineer to visit between 1-6pm the same day, luckily he arrived at 1pm and within the hour, fixed the line.
only complaint when these sort of things happen, i don't agree with call divert to be charged as i have had to do it twice in the last 2 months, this would be £12 ex vat, its not my thought that there have been line issue, my only complaint.
thank you

I have had an issue with True Telecom regarding incorrect billing for well over a year. I tried on numerous occasions to get a credit I was owed but nothing happened.
Earlier today Bethany Stone from customer services called me to see how happy I was with them. I told her about my problem and she sorted the problem out immediately. Why this couldn't be done before, I don't know but I finally got somebody who actually cared about her customers. Very rare these days.

This company has been plaguing me with constant cold calls. I have told them more than six times in one week that I am not interested and would they take me off their list. I do not want to deal with this company. I Googled this company at the beginning of the year after a very lengthy call from them, and decided I did not want to deal with them. The reviews were very negative from unsatisfied customers. THIS COMPANY IS A NUISANCE. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM.

Reply from True Telecom
First of all they get their business by cold calling - probably one of the reasons there is a current OFCOM investigation about them. My husband made the mistake of signing up following a coldcall from True Telecom and initially, their customer service and phone manner was great - although they did keep phoning to pester us to change our second phone line over - very glad we didn't. Within 2 months of signing up we have been notified that our service has been transferred (without required 30 days notice) to another provider - this "transfer" occurred the first day TT were supposed to be providing our service. The new provider are charging considerably more than we agreed with TT. When TT was contacted they have said any issues must be taken up with the new provider - we consider they have breached their contract. We have been in touch with OFCOM for advice and will be taking it further with both companies involved.

Thanks to Jon Higgins for his help today. He was very mannerly and patient explaining to us "old folks" about our position re our transfer of broadband to True Telecom.
