Horrible Airbnb rental :hidden charges, broken appliances and Dirty
The hosts for the rental were completely unhelpful! The property was dirty w/ roaches, the kitchen appliances were dirty and greasy and the rugs were filthy with stains all over them. Ice maker was broken and so was the dishwasher! There were hidden charges for parking at $50 per day and $25 for early check in. It was a 5 day rental and a miserable experience! Airbnb tried to help but when they gave us a refund for the parking the co- hosts threatened to tow our rental car. If you are in Arlington, Texas DO NOT RENT from these people Stacy-Ann and Kimberly! Close to Globe Life Field and the stadium for the Dallas Cowboys. Way too expensive for the lack hospitality, the dirty and unkempt conditions and shady business practices.

AVOID RENTING FROM VACASA!!
#1: When we arrived, within 12 hours, the front door lock failed. Vacasa didn't care to come and fix it after several phone/messaging attempts. We put in several "tickets" and couldn't lock the front door all trip. #2: The pots/pans in the kitchen were FILTHY. Since I'm a cook, I spent several hour SCRUBBING pots/pans so they were usable. Again, tried to tell Vacasa with no response. #3: After day 3, the smoke alarms were beeping so we had to deactivate them all but Vacasa didn't care. We lived in the house the rest of the week with no smoke alarms.
How hard is it as a management company to keep up with "management"? Clean the pots and pans (at least check on their condition before new people take possession), and change the batteries in the door locking system and fire alarms on a schedule. We paid $7000 (yes, 7 thousand) for this house. That's enough money to paid to have this house meet minimum standard of cleanliness and safety.
The house was fine, great location, but the management company Vacasa was AWFUL. Steer clear of this one.

There is no ”negative one“ score to give, but that is what this crooked company and property manager deserve of condo property #228046 in Old Orchard Beach. They took our money and the property manager did not have the rental ready for us on the day of arrival.. and he was out of town. We had to spend birthday, retirement and thanksgiving celebrations in a hotel. Property manager was supposed to cancel the reservation and agreed a full refund due. VRBO says he didn’t and he says he doesn’t know why VRBO is keeping our money. Both are responsible for taking our hard earned money and giving us nothing but stress, sleepless nights and a ruined vacation. We still do not know who got the thousands of dollars we paid for the rental, VRBO or him. But many hours on the phone, texts and emails for weeks while ”on vacation” and afterward to both of them, ultimately left us without the refund due to us. If you think your bank your credit card bank lawyers will help, don’t plan it! They did not for us! Just kept us on more phone calls and writing affidavits that turned out to mean nothing. SO.. DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE OF THIS HAPPENING TO YOU! Choose any other vacation rental business!!!!!!!!!

Rented house “Rest Assured” from Sept 7 through Sept, 25, 2021 – cost $6172
Expectations:
For this amount of money ($342 per night), we expected a well-furnished and appointed Mountain Cabin, regrettably, it was not. Instead, we found a neglected and uncared for older house.
It was simply not up to our standards for a rental!
Our Prior Experience:
As previous VRBO house owners in Boone and Blowing Rock, NC, we always were sure that our renters “got what they paid for” ……………. A well-managed, clean, up-to-date, well-furnished and outfitted with all utensils and amenities needed. Our previous experience with VRBO has been very positive, up until now.
Jennifer at Carolina Mountain Properties was responsive to our requests, but she could not have given us what we expected with this house. This house was not what we have previously experienced on VRBO
What was Experienced
Light bulbs out in numerous locations (we found bulbs)
Light fixtures old and cheap
No chairs suitable for sitting out on the back deck, instructions were to drag from house
Fan broken and not repaired as requested
Toilets often needing plunger to clear
Scalding hot water in showers due to complex plumbing fixture
Mold in downstairs room
Furniture very old, worn out and dirty
No cue sticks available for pool table (corrected)
Downstairs radio not working
Dangerous stairs, two falls
Parking inadequate and difficult
Numerous screens missing
Several old and missing blinds (3 were replaced)
No water glasses (corrected)
No wine glasses (corrected)
Broken pull out kitchen cabinet (repaired)
No cutting board in kitchen (corrected)
Décor outdated and dirty
Decking splintered
Kitchen Utensils skimpy
Linens need replacing Junk under the house

In summary, this house is showing age, needing maintenance and upgrades. Had we known the condition, we would have selected another VRBO. It was not worth the $6182 we paid. We requested refund from Carolina Mountain Properties, but rejected. Disappointed.

I booked a property at the Champions gate, FL. The house was beautiful and clean. Unfortunately, we had a few issues since we got it...
1. I asked for heated pool before booking. Was told it not a problem but...The water in the pool was freezing and there for we could not use the privet pool. I tried to reach out to them but got no answer for two days. Then I called and said it not possible because I had to put a request when I booked the property???!!!!!
2. They charged us two damage fee. Not so sure why. I took me 20 days and every day email to get some of the money back.
3. When I complained about the partial refund they said they had to charge me for a few damages we left. Until now I'm trying to figure out what damages???!!!!!
4. When I asked for one full refund of damage fee, they said the refunded 300$ but refunded only 213$. I tried several time to reach out but they don't answer phones, emails or texts (which all work before giving them my credit card). We decided to dispute so it will be there problem.
Those days you can book every property with Airbnb. Do it and save you self some aggravation and $$$. What ever happen do book through them.
Morally and Ethically Corrupt
Not only will they take a deposit, they also want a small cancellation fee of £75.00. This company is morally and ethically corrupt, and are happy to ruin someones entire credit history for the sake of feeble amounts of money. Disgusting. I actively advise anyone booking a holiday to make sure it's not through these crooks, and will continue to do so.
Airbnb
Airbnb, do not rent from them, they lie about giving back refunds. We had to cancel our reservation for Florida due to covid and travel ban, and they would not give is our deposit of $823.00 back. They gave us $63.00 back and said that was all they would return. Do yourself a favor and don't rent any airbnb property, nothing but lies and deceiving customers. Check their reviews on the BBB site if you don't believe me, they have 828 bad reviews for no refunds.

If You Book and Have a Problem They Will Ignore You: But They Will Take Your Money
I booked a cottage then received a message on the website saying it had already been booked. So I booked another but then had the same message. After that I had an email confirmation for both bookings.
I couldn't get through to them on the phone even after holding for more than two hours several times. They have failed to respond to messages sent to them via the website.
One of the owners was worried (I had got in touch with her) and they had time to get in touch. They sent me an email saying if I wanted to cancel I should phone them (????) giving the same number as the one that always busy. I responded to the email and they haven't replied but have taken full payment on both cottages.
When you phone them there is a message that you can still book a cottage and telling you how to. There is nothing about if you have booked and have a problem what to do.
I understand COVID creates issues, but not even replying that they have seen a message and will come back is too bad.
Worse Experience Ever…
On July 16th my family and I checked in your property at 9016 Hazard St in Davenport, FL (Champion Gates) and I contacted the company regarding damages, scratches, and uncleanliness of the home. The advertisement of this home was very deceiving. As a family we travel several times throughout the year. This has by far been my worse experience with vacation rentals. The customer service experience was horrible. I contacted them via email and phone requesting someone to return my call or respond to the email. I did not receive a call. In the home there were several broken items, some of the comforters were stained with blood and white dried up bodily fluids on the comforter. The bar stools were ripped at the top, all of the theaters chairs are all damaged with rips in them. One of the showers in the upstairs bathroom drainage was horrible. As you shower, the water continue to rise ankle deep instead of draining properly. The showers up stairs were not clean. I am very displeased with this property and the customer service is very disappointing. I would of thought the home would have been cleaner and neater due to the pandemic of COVID-19.

Stay away from Vacation Rentals!
We stayed in an apartment in Del Rey, CA in June 2018. The unit was scruffy and in part quite dirty, obviously not cared for by the landlords, LA Lease Holding, LLC. It also smelled badly from the kitchen drains. We were unable to contact the landlord, Inna, directly as her phone was constantly busy. Upon contacting Vacation Rentals customer service, we were given no recourse to refuse the rental, short of losing the entire rental fee of around $1700. The company obviously protects landlords over consumers, maintaining the contract is between the consumer and the landlord, even though all money is paid to Vacation Rentals. Eventually a cleaner was sent over by the landlord, making our stay at least tolerable, but no apology was ever received from anyone.
We would recommend staying away from Vacation Rentals in view of the total lack of consumer protection against rogue landlords.
Rented a place in Florida
Rented a place in Florida. When I looked into booking it stated 100% refund if cancelled 60 days in advance. I cancelled 5 months in advance and they said I have to pay a 100.00 administration fee which is not noted anywhere until AFTER you book and get your confirmation. I am looking into a class action lawsuit as I'm sure I'm not the only one they have done this to. Please post if you want to be added and I will have the attorney get info from this site.

We are a host/provider and a guest …
We are a host/provider and a guest contacted the company to cancel their booking within enough time to be entitled to a 100% refund. The company relayed to us the cancellation request more than a week later, which given the amount of notice we got would entitle the guest to only a 50% refund. Of course the guest should have gotten a 100% refund but the company actually recommended to us to only refund 50% since the request came to us late -- despite the fact that it was the company's fault for screwing up the request! (In the end, the guest reversed the credit card charge and we push all new bookings that we can through airbnb which we are much happier with.)
NOT trustworthy!
We just came home after 10 days in Mallorca in an apartment booked through VacationRentals - and we most definitely can not recommend the agency! We did'nt get any reservation documents, which meant we didn't know how to find our apartment. We could't get in touch with you or the hosts at Mar Y Sol, Cala Figuera, but finally Homeaway responded our emails, and helped us. We fell very much misguided in relations to the apartment we rented, because the amenities that was our top priorities for choosing the place wasn't there, and there was nobody we could contact. We seriously recommend you to work on your credibility in terms of which facilities are at the place, because that's really important! Our family of 5 people packed our suitcases in the belief that there was a washingmaschine for our use, which it said on the website. It turned out that their wasn't, so we had to wash our clothes in the bidet or sink in the bathroom!! We also chose the place for the AC, the outdoor grill and the short way to the beach - but there was NO AC, NO outdoor grill and we had to drive to the beach...
All this means that you are not trustworthy and that we have payed you money for things that wasn't there!! But the worst of it is, that you have taken part of our vacation joy this year!
2 Bedroom Gaslamp Condo in San Diego
This condo is in a fabulous location with the most gorgeous views of San Diego Bay and sunsets ever! Its located in the Gaslamp district and you can walk to dozens of wonderful restaurants, the Convocation Center, Petco Park and shops galore. We took the trolley everywhere from Old Town to Chula Vista to Little Italy and everywhere in between. We also rode city buses to Balboa Park and other locations around the city. Senior citizens can get a month long pass to ride both trolley and buses for $18. It was well worth the money and we used our passes almost every day. The condo is very comfortable and the kitchen is nicely stocked with everything you need to cook just about anything. There is a nice swimming pool and a fine exercise room, which my husband spent time in every morning. The building is nicely maintained, the elevators work beautifully and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. The only thing I would like to see changed in this condo is the bed in the guest room. It is a double bed with a twin sized bunk on top of it. It was difficult for our guests to get in and out of since they were also senior citizens and one side of the bed is against the wall. That meant the person on the outside had to get out of bed for the person on the wall side to get out every time. Other than this, the condo is perfect and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Fishermans Paradise!
Eight of us visited Lake Chickamauga for strictly bass fishing. Four trucks and four boats. This place was excellent! The outside had more than enough room for all of us to park and could accommodate a lot more vehicles. Since we are such "hard fisherman" and are used to staying in empty cabins, we didn't mention to the rest of fellow fisherman back home about relaxing in the comfort of the home, or sitting back in the large screened in pavilion trading fish stories. The home was very nice and is situated about a rock throw away of one of the best country restaurants I've eaten at. We had so many biscuits and gravy every morning its a wonder we could throw a pole, but we did and managed to catch lots of fish! Its was an excellent week for fishing. Best fishing trip ever and catch wait to stay here next year.
