I took my cat in at 8pm on Easter Thursday. He received excellent treatment. I cannot fault the staff. The billing though was ridiculous. I understand the £313.50 fee as it was out of hours but I was... See more

Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Very happy with the whole experience but a long wait to be seen.

Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Cat didn't need any treatment but she was limping quite a bit so needed it to be checked. Was a bit expensive but it was an emergency booking as our vet was closed.

Cannot thank them enough for saving my boy Max . Was taken in with haemorrhaging gastroenteritis after having an operation & due to their care & quick treatment he is now on the mend. Thank you

We gave our dog the best life, Vets Now gave her the worst possible death with an apparently overworked, bad-tempered, incompetent vet and assistant at the Maven Clinic in Worcester Park on 14th May 2025. They did have the time to ensure we were good for the money and apparently before bothering to help my dog with pain relief. Please don't put your pet through the cruel torture of this practice.

Staff were kind and understanding while I panicked about my poorly cat. They took great care of him and provided updates to me when they could even though they were busy, which I so appreciated. I trusted he was in good hands.
Thank you Vets Now!

Yasmin our emergency out of hours vet was amazing in a very stressful situation for us.
She told us carefully but truthfully what was making our poor dog so ill and what we should prepare ourselves for.
She checked in on us to see how we were and given an update to keep us in the picture
Although we had a sad outcome we are so grateful for her care and honesty.

My cat got into an accident and lost the loss of his back legs. I took him to the emergency vet and they kept him over night for x-rays and observations. I picked him up the next morning where they told me there were no breaks but possible nerve damage. There was a possibility the nerves would regain feeling. They gave me the medications and told me to book in at my own vet practice incase he had any trouble passing urine. I took him to my vet on that day and there was no reactions from them doing their tests and my cat had to be put to sleep. I think I knew this when I picked him up but they had given me false hope that he could get better. It was horrible to see him in the state he was in and I feel that they just wanted the money rather than doing what was best for my cat.

The service was good but the price was diabolical. We need a public enquiry and governing body to regulate vet charges to stop them holding pet owners to ransom and maximising profit to the point owners are over a barrel 😤
