the maintenance man Andy came to my house and made sure that I had my lock installed after waiting two months for he ensured he would not leave my property. he left and went searching for part that wasn't easy to find then came back installed it and made sure I was happy with all the work he had doe before leaving he even cleaned all his mess and hover my stairs for me happy customer .

I could give a 0 if I can. Rubbish company. The pump broken in my bathroom, they sent so many different people to try to fix it, nobody fixed it and now after 15 days I still waiting for someone to come and fix it. Make me waste my time. I have one little boy 4 years old and now when we need to have our shower we need to take the water away with small bowl and mop. It’s no fair with us.
I’m really upset with this company and I can’t understand why Brent Council keep the contract with them.

I would give a - 0 if I could. Wates want the money from peabody but don't actually want to do the work. housing officer booked in works to be done in my bathroom with management. Sadly management don't know what they are doing and definitely need a job in tesco, they might manage to stack sheleves. 4 times operatives have come out to carry out plumbing work to my Toliet and stack pipe. And said they don't have the go ahead from management. Supervisor dave has no bedside manner. Wates management don't take any accountability for there mess! Incompetence at its finest if that's what your looking for book today with wates. Awful company and I have asked to speak to management and they refuse. So please don't copy and paste asking for me to contact you! I'd rather poke my eye out

6 times they have been to my neighbours to rectify a guttering problem. Sadly the water from the leaking guttering falls onto my property causing flooding as the join is so bad.
I am chasing the housing association even though it is not my place. I am fed up with the incompetence!

I cancelled a day in advance AND the repair man at my door 2 hrs ahead of time filmed via ring doorbell.
Unfortunately, not only did the workman turn up but HE KNOCKED AT 8AM!
The job was clearly scheduled for 10am.
As I rescheduled it, please inform wates office that by no means should a workman be knocking my door 2hrs before the scheduled appointment hence the word "scheduled".
I'm not here to make their job easier when I have a toddler to attend to at 8am PLUS it clearly states avoid what? School run!!!
This isn't acceptable that Wates think they can just randomly turn up 2 hrs ahead of the appointed time slot.
Please forward this to wates as they do not publish their email contact information on the website.
I have already rebooked this job for the 25th September in between 10-2 so I do not expect anyone knocking my door beforehand as its not professional!

Shocking standards. Steer clear
Just moved into a flat run by reside Barking and Dagenham housing association. Wates has constructed the property called forge in Abbey road Barking and it is of shocking quality. This block flats is new and below I list some of the problems in just my flat only and what I know across the building.
1. Top floor has damp and was flooded. Paint all coming off walks.
2.communal bin door doesn't fit. S apes along floor. It's now hanging on one hinge and when this heavy door falls and kills someone it will be down to their shoddy building work.
3. No plug in my sink (have asked to receive one. No one has come back to me.
4. Sink u bend plumbing in kitchen was all loose and cross screwed and so leaked.
5. Patio sliding doors doesn't lock. So that invalidates everybodies contents insurance. This is in multiple houses. Some have no handles on the doors at all.
6. 2 lifts. 1 of them has never worked.
7. No internal corridors lock and are all open and the intercom system doesn't work. So no one at the door can contact you. Quite difficult if you on the higher floors.
8. Bedroom window was reported by the council or contractors as broke. It was supposed to be fixed... They didn't do it. Signed off they had been but obviously hadn't as on my first time opening window with the agent the window nearly fell out the frame and scratched all the plaster. Still living in a flat where in one room it is locked shut and doesn't open and living patio doesnt lock. Shocking lackadaisical uninterested in fixing problems that there shoddy building work has created.
9. Laminate floor is bowing near the patio door where its getting damp or not laid right.
10. Door frames and skiting boards all wavy and not straight. Living room door frame is very wonky.
11. They left on all stickers to register the appliances for the warrenties you ae given by Indesit. Problem is we don't have access to the serial codes or know how much they cost or model numbers which Indesit require to resister the warranty.
10. No instruction manuals left for any appliances in the property.
11. Heating all left on full blast on moving in. In deepest summer.
12. Carpet in bedroom is shocking quality. Doesn't go right up to gripper in one corner. So bit loose.
13. They got hyperoptic in to plumb in Internet already. According to hyperoptic, it wasn't connected correctly and had some loose wires when they had to come back out.
This is just my flat and some of the issues I know about in this block. Absolute cowboy company. Don't buy or use them.

It would be nice if staff knew what they were doing. My door install was faulty from the beginning. The lady setting up the scheduling just ends up confusing herself after professionally speaking over you.
Please can a manager listen to Tabitha’s calls. Not the supervisor as it’s clear, from the service received today, he is not training nor supporting the staff at all.
In one call I was told the appointment was cancelled when it was not (this is after having the job closed incomplete). I was then confirmed a Wednesday appointment just to find out they had scheduled it the day I said I was at work with no courtesy call to let me know?
The gentleman that attended the house was lovely. He was deaf so had to have his phone on loud speaker. I could hear how staff were speaking to him over my ring camera and it was awful. Not the inclusive environment for workers with disabilities you would expect.
Just a complete disorganised mess. It’s a shame as the more experienced workers they send out know what they are doing and how to deal with customers. Please train all staff to the same standard.

Hello, I'm a council tennant in stevenage,
Ive just had energy savings work on my property all completed from the team and their contractors at Wates,
This goes without saying Im very happy with all work thats been done from the managers Ripon who kindly persuaded me that it was for my and my propertys best intrest that the work was needed, he made sure dates with appointments suited me, he explained clearly and put my mind at ease about what was needed to carry out on each job, (at first i was very hesitant about getting my loft insulated as it was years worth of items packed full up there. Yet alone my mouse problem that i was trying previously to sort out obviously with no avail) Im so glad ive now got it cleared and insulated and part boarded.
I cant forget the lovely Alex who called after every job compleated to see if i had any issues with any tasks carried out, to which i was satisfied, again he explained what was to be expected of each contractor and put me at ease if i had any complaints and that i was happy with how the workers were using my property.
Cant forget the ladies in the wates office and or contractors offices who fitted appointments in around me, sorry no names but happy with their friendly services.
Your construction team of contractors did a brilliant job, friendly professional bunch from electricians to builders ect again all cleaned up after themselves, and made sure i understood what they were there to do.
THANKYOU i really appreciate the good people you sent my way and for what you all have done to our property.

Don't ever reserve with Wates Contructions
Don't ever reserve here both the sales team and Wates constructions follows very unhealthy sales practices and will just bully u into buying or u will lose the money u spend on legal and mortgage.
1. Wates appoints an incompetent sales manager Robert Medcraft from Allen and Harris who is rude and sarcastic in his tone.
2. They will create fear in you that they are receiving lots of bookings. Once you reserve they state that u will not have access to the builder to negotiate which they had said that I will get to negotiate once
3. They will reduce prices of their properties at their whims and fancies but once you have reserved you are completely stuck as they will ask you to leave even though property prices are dropping and they never gave u a chance to negotiate.
4. The construction company has set a team of mortgage provider, sales and they all work hand in glove with no consideration for customer concerns, even after raising concerns with the sales team they feel I should continue to work with the same sales team appointed by Robert.
