Pinnacle Maple Mens Mountain Bike shoe goes up too far on the front of the ankle

re: Pinnacle Maple Mens Mountain Bike Shoes. ◦ I purchased DBH shoes from wiggle.com many times before and liked them very much; they fit my feet. When wiggle.com came back online, I purchased this pair of Pinnacle shoes. I find them much the same as the old DBH shoes. There are differences: the sides and shoe box are a bit stiffer and the shoe goes up about 1 cm more on the front of the ankle. I can feel this, almost a little painfully, every time my foot goes to the bottom of the pedal stroke where foot is flat or heel is a bit lower than toes. So far, tests on indoor trainer find no significant pain, but I do feel the upper part of the shoe contacting the front of my ankle, and indenting the ankle a bit, on each pedal stroke. Hopefully, this will not get too painful when I ride for long distances. Right now I’m indoors on short sprints on the trainer as there is over 1 metre of snow outside. There’s no problem so far. I’d like these shoes better if the top of the front of the ankle was near where the 1st strap is rather than 1 to 2 cm higher.
▪ The toe box of the shoes is nice and roomy, unlike the Shimano shoes that I sent back that had a very flat toe box and that was painful.

Easy purchasing, but not so easy to exchange.

I order four items from Wiggle and they arrived all in good time. So far, so good. However, having measured my hands for a pair of gloves using the size guide, they were still too small. So I'd like to exchange them for the next size up. The kind of thing that happens all the time when shopping for any kind of clothing online. However, Wiggle to not allow for exchanges at all - not even with a little extra fee for the shipping (which I'd happily pay). The only way that this seems to be possible (even though the website doesn't explicitly state this) is to return the item for a refund and then purchase the alternative that you need. However, the returns page simply suggests that you post items back to the warehouse (address provided), but doesn't say anything about covering documentation. However are they going to know that a pair of gloves returned in the post to them are from me? I guess I could put in a covering letter with the original order number, but most other places will issue a 'returns reference number' or similar. So only three stars from me here as the purchasing process was easy, but the follow-up is poorly documented on the website.

Don't buy from Wiggle!!

There's NO clear way to contact Wiggle's customer service to process my return. The story: I bought some cycling gear from Wiggle for $150. A few days later got an email from customs about needing to pay $80 VAT. I emailed asking if I could send the parcel back because I didn't want to pay that $80. They said that was fine, and they'd process my return. It's been over a month and I still don't have my $150 returned. (Nor do I have the cycling gear delivered.) There's no clear way to get in touch with anymore from Wiggle to help me with this!! Shady company, terrible experience.

Can Wiggle deliver?

This is the second attempt to get a pair of gloves delivered. First time they took them back as Evri said they could not deliver which was not true.

I have tried again and will see what happens but my confidence is shaken.

Usual poor service since going under Frasers Group

Claimed item was in stock. Paid for next day delivery.
Despite being told "We have your order!", "Order on it's way", the item was never delivered.
Going through the customer service was its usual painful experience. Eventually got an individual on-line, was told he would review thread. Next I hear I'm being disconnected due to MY inactivity. So, through the process again. Eventually told I'd be refunded (by 9 Jan, it's now 11 Jan, no sign of refund). Also told I'd receive a £15 voucher for inconvenience, not received.
(As an aside, I stupidly tried to get the same item from Evans - now also under Fraser Group - had the same issues).

Wiggle are hopeless and I will not be…

Wiggle are hopeless and I will not be ordering from them again. I ordered some winter gloves at the beginning of December and they sent the wrong size. Since then I have had a lengthy and frustrating series of emails with their Customer Service team, asking for a replacement and 1 month on I am still waiting.

The tracking number for my courier…

The tracking number for my courier doesn't work, so I cannot track my order. It is simply not possible to contact Wiggle to see if I have the correct number or to find out what is going on.

Avoid this company. They really do not care about customer service, just minimising their costs to maximise their profits. To hell for the rest of us.

Evri delivered 2 parcels to the wrong…

Evri delivered 2 parcels to the wrong village in the space of 1 week. They pay no attention to the safe location/exact map location in their app. The print on the label is so small that I suspect they could not easily read the address. Why not use what3words to ensure correct deliveries?

Wiggle is going down hill since it was bought by Sports Direct

I was able to get some lightweight dhb gloves at a big discount but it feels as though, since wiggle was acquired by sports direct, they are offloading old stock and not restocking with the dhb stuff that was good. For example I wanted some new Aeron cycling waist shorts but there weren’t any. There was some other discounted dhb stuff (with not all sizes present) and some branded shorts (some I’d never heard of). Wiggle was good for the dhb stuff so why stop doing it and just treat is as another outlet for discounted branded stuff. Isn’t that what Sports Direct does with Evans cycles?

Ordered a pair of gloves online on…

Ordered a pair of gloves online on 14/12. Advised estimated delivery would be 18/12 latest. Its now 22/12 and Evri still saying the gloves are in their depot awaiting delivery.
Despite it being common knowledge that Evri have been an unmitigated disaster this Christmas, Wiggle plough ahead and try to ship products with them. May as well just throw them in the bin themselves and cut out the middle man.

Terrible Customer Sevice

I ordered an item and was told it wouldn’t be delivered for a couple weeks. When I told them I needed to cancel it because I would be gone for the Winter they said it was too late to cancel. You had to do it within 6 hrs. I then tried to call and email them over three days to change the address and they never responded. They shipped it anyway. Terrible customer service!

Feedback on Sale and International Shipping Options

I was really pleased with the generous discounts in the sale and delighted with my purchases. I’m also grateful that international shipping is available. The only drawback is the cost. It would be even better if there were two shipping options to choose from: a faster delivery at a higher price and a slower delivery at a lower price.

Use a delivery company other than Evri

Use a delivery company other than Evri. Parcel still not arrived, latest delivery date should have been Saturday 13th December. Replacement sent, Evri tracking app does not work, still no date as to when my order will arrive

Don’t use Wiggle any more, returns too difficult

Your website determinedly refuses to give any details on how to contact you. It will not download a returns form. The info you give on returns is inadequate, slightly antagonistic, and frankly, I don’t trust that I would get a refund if I just send the item back. One of my orders is fine, the other is much too small, but it looks like I’m stuck with it. I have the legal right to return items, but you have done everything you can to make returning items too difficult. We used to order a lot from Wiggle, but never again.
