JUST AS BAD AS IT GETS!!!!!!!

JUST AS BAD AS IT GETS!!!!!!!
What a pity you need to give a star. Tried to upgrade my watch for the latest Ultra 3. The chat is a nightmare and then you get through to the dreaded call centre, trying to explain the deal is on line and they SURELY help you with this (1st joke of the day ) This deal is for a new line the first feedback, when I state it states this nowhere, on hold again because you've dare to question them and its not on the script, (no they can't think for there selves. ) Back they come, sorry we cant' compete with online deals, ha ha ha, on I'm dealing with you online?? So I wish to complain, sorry can't help you, you need to fill in the form online, this done, now actually get a phone call from the complaints team, explain everything and then told they will get somebody from the sales team to phone (must be on the script). Before they hang up they ask if I can know close the complaint? But you have not dealt with the complaint, so no! Less than 10 minutes I get a phone call, not from the sales team but from a team leader asking me to close the complaint as there is no resolution? What? I did tell them in a not very friendly term I will not be closing the complaint. So now escalate the complaint to the EXECUTIVE TEAM? WOW! am I finally getting somewhere? Had a phone call to say they are now dealing with it, checked everything for me and confirmed the deal is available and they are very sorry for the inconvenience and they are know going to transfer me to the sale team to complete the deal, YEAH! Lines goes dead immediately and know way of phoning the Executive team, surprise surprise! Now found a way to escalate to the CEO and his Team. After a couple of days an email from Michelle (specialist adviser, WHOOO) Definitely going to get sorted now, Email was arranging a call at 1.00pm the next day to sort this for me. At 1.45 I get an email to say sorry been in meetings all day and only just came out, I did say sorry we were now going out and got a reply to say it was her fault and poor time management, yes she actually put this in the email. So basically she forgot? So still no watch, ended my present pairing, got my PAC number after over 16 years with THREE it seems they are getting much worst and the merger with Vodaphone has a profound effect on the way THREE operate! What is the use of these great deals if you don't actually implement them or train your staff on how to proceed rather than putting you on hold or just play silly games with you online. No customers = equals no foreign call centres, no jobs, but I fear the Executive Team jobs are safer than an Undertakers job with the amount of customer complaints? Don' bother asking me to respond again in the hope other people are reading this and thinking you are! All of us who are leaving you these poor reviews know what a useless shower you are! Never mind, not long until the end of the month and you all get your pay cheques for doing nothing again?

Three remain utterly useless

Cannot renew contract without logging in. Cannot login as Three requires you to confirm your mobile number - I have a mobile router not a mobile so cannot receive a text with a code!

Cannot bypass need to enter a 3 mobile number which, for added fun, isn’t even visible on the router.

Absolute disgraceful company lately.. customer for over 15 years coverage has gone awful yet when you complain they can’t be bothered . Always paid my bill on time had a few financial issues one month so arranged to pay a few days later which was accepted failed to tell me they’d ruined my credit score (fair enough if I was constantly late) circumstances can be unpredictable on times
Showed them loyalty then this
Once I complained they claimed to investigate it then closed my complaint within 3 hours claiming I’d closed the complaint
Wish I’d never stuck with three .. loyalty is nothing unless you’re upgrading eh
Avoid at all costs

Roaming pass issues and bad customer service

Bought an expensive 2 week roaming pass for Europe, Greece. Started getting extra charges first day hols, phoned 3 who said roaming was free, and not to worry, if any bills then dispute them when I get back. Bad advice, hit with a bill for roaming charges as phone apparently connected to other networks not in EU. Bill was confusing, deliberately obfuscating in my view, had to read several times and still do not understand. Phone lady was unhelpful and pushy, kept trying to fob me off and disconnecting for several minutes to "check things", quite rude and unable to explain charges, even after several attempts. Huge language barrier. Dispute was dismissed out of hand. Had to open a formal complaint and argue and argue. Then got dodgy call after trying to get personal details. Not the way it should be. Stress I don't need, tarnished a lovely holiday...

I was a long-term Three customer and

I was a long-term Three customer and, while the broadband service itself was generally reliable, the overall customer experience and pricing structure eventually pushed me to leave.

My main issue was not simply the price increase itself, but the way long-term customers are allowed to drift onto very high rolling out-of-contract pricing while much cheaper promotional deals are offered to new customers.

After my contract ended, my monthly bill increased to over £32 per month. Meanwhile, I was able to secure substantially faster broadband elsewhere for £18.99 per month on a new contract.

I understand annual price increases exist across the telecoms industry, but I do not believe enough is done to proactively review or support loyal long-term customers before they end up on expensive rolling tariffs.

I also found the customer service experience extremely frustrating. Much of the communication felt heavily scripted, compartmentalised and impersonal. I repeatedly explained that I am dyslexic, have chronic PTSD, communication difficulties and am currently grieving the loss of my mother, yet I still felt pushed through generic processes rather than genuinely listened to as an individual customer.

To be fair, once the issue finally reached the Executive Office level, the responses became more professional and polite. However, by that stage the damage had largely already been done. I was offered only a £2 goodwill reduction despite much lower pricing clearly being available to new customers. Even with the reduction applied, the monthly price still remained significantly above the kind of tariffs being advertised publicly to attract new customers.

I should also mention that, prior to this broadband issue, I had already experienced major problems with Three’s mobile network service in my area. The signal reliability became so poor that I experienced difficulty making emergency 999 calls. I raised this repeatedly and was continually advised improvements were expected, but the situation continued for a long time.

Eventually, due to the seriousness of the fault and the impact it was having, I was allowed to leave my mobile contract early without additional charges. So this broadband complaint was not my first experience of struggling to resolve ongoing issues with the company.

In the end, I switched provider because I felt the combination of:

* high out-of-contract pricing,
* weak loyalty incentives,
* overly scripted customer service,
* and poor handling of vulnerable customer concerns
made staying difficult to justify.

My advice to other customers would be:

* check your bills carefully once your contract ends,
* do not allow accounts to sit on rolling pricing for long periods,
* and actively compare current market deals before accepting large increases.

The broadband itself was acceptable, but the wider customer experience and pricing approach ultimately lost them a loyal customer.

Poor service poor support

I contacted 3 Customer Support regarding issues with my broadband hub and the sudden increase in my bill. Instead of properly addressing my concerns, the representative completely ignored my issue and started aggressively trying to convince me to take another offer.
Even after I clearly explained my problem, he kept insisting that I should remove my broadband and switch to a SIM offer instead. I repeatedly told him that I have a family at home and broadband is necessary, but he continued pushing the same sales offer. At one point he even suggested that I should just leave the phone at home and use the SIM package.
I have screenshots of the entire chat. When I asked for the chat history so I could file a complaint, it was not provided to me.
Nowadays it feels like 3 has placed people in customer service not to solve customer problems, but to force sales and give orders to customers instead. After 45 minutes of chat, neither was my broadband issue resolved nor was I properly informed why my broadband price had increased. I was simply told to “check the contract yourself” to get the answer. If customers have to investigate everything themselves, then what exactly is customer support there for?
Eventually, after getting frustrated, I politely asked the representative to either solve the issue or transfer me to someone else because I had other important things to do. In the end, instead of resolving anything, he offered me a £5 credit “for convenience.”
Please keep the £5 and invest it in properly training your customer support staff instead.

Go to hell Three!!!

This company are the most gormless, useless, incompetent mobile phone network that it has ever been my misfortune to do business with; so now I never will again.

The main problem with Three is that they don't have the competence or intelligence to allow recurring card payments to go through. They don't seem to realise that certain sensitive information has to be shared between their customers (i.e. me), them (the merchant) and their customer's bank to allow recurring card payments to be consistently taken every month. They refuse to share that information from their end, or block certain information from being shared.

They would not accept any of the bank cards that I tried to use to pay for their service, and I tried millions of times with each of my accounts.

The result of that is that the first time that my recurring card payments were due to be taken from my two accounts, they failed; leaving me with no data, no ability to make phone calls or send texts, and no access to the Internet on either of my two telephone numbers. Therefore that completely ballsed up everything that I wanted to do on the internet — which, let's face it is practically everything that people do in this day and age.

I couldn't do any of my mobile or online banking, I couldn't pay for anything online (including my weekly groceries), and I couldn't do anything else online either. I had to order two EE sims, wait several days for them to be delivered, and then pay for their service before I could do any of those things again.

Such an awful business

Such an awful business. I called 3 on 30 April 2026 and I was told I could cancel my contract from 1 May. I then received multiple calls from 3 offering me new deals. I just called again, spoke to their Indian call centre who verified me and then passed my call to a call centre in the UK "cancellation team", I was verified again. The UK call handler said I can't cancel without penalty until 8th May. What a waste of life that was, a bad business! One of the call handlers lied to me. It really shows why AI replacement is a good thing.

times of cost of living rising time to…

times of cost of living rising time to look at all household expenses.

On seeing Three had an amazing offer and my current Internet supplier raising prices I had to take the offer from Three to move and they advertised they would also cover the cost of switching.

Emails, paperwork and router arrived. No info on what a customer needs to do to claim the cost of claiming to switch. I gave it 2 weeks waiting for a call, email or even letter nothing. I had to phone to get the email address to submit my final bill, by this time my old supplier closed my account. I had made a final payement and recieved a email from Talk Talk (no problem with Talk Talk just a price increase which I have always been aware off) that I was paid up to date. BUT no Three wants more proof before they will credit my account.

Lesson learnt before signing up to anything get all facts upfront.

I will save something for the first 12 months but will be definitely changing Three once the price change, this time I will do my homework and ask questions.

I have never done this switching before. I do find that having to deal with everything over the email/website site is a bit daunting.

Three should make clear in a email from the time you express to switch what is expected and not think we are all clued up thats why diversity and equality comes to mind.

To top it all off when I did get a email regards for proof of my final bill Three refered to me as Hi Whelan, my surname how professional???

THREE answer when it should have been made clear in the very beginning so now I will have to go through everything I have tried to explain in numerous emails prior to this review. Asking me first why I am phoning, my answer will be due to my review and then go through various departments.
