I am writing to express my unhappiness with my recent purchase of a corner sofa bed at DFS. We placed the order on 19.8.19 at the New Malden branch of DFS. It is a Tryst corner sofa bed, costing £1,099 (monthly repayments £25.58). It was delivered on 19.9.19.
When we visited the store, we considered a number of different corner sofas and were assisted by one of the sales advisers who showed us the various different models. We sat on the Tryst corner sofa and found it to be extremely comfortable and we told the sales adviser that we were considering the corner sofa with sofa bed. There was not a Tryst corner sofa bed in store so we were unable to sit on it – but we were not, at any point, told that the seats on the corner sofa bed were considerably less comfortable than those of the corner sofa (without sofa bed). The seats of the sofa we received are so exceptionally soft that we and our guests sink down into them and find that the seats provide no support at all. In addition, the mattress is extremely thin and not suitable for a good night’s sleep.
As a result, we are extremely disappointed with our purchase. The DFS Service Manager came to my home a few times but but he doesn’t solve the problem. The last visit was on the 28.11.2019 since then I look forward to hearing from DFS.
Any advice?!
