Quite clearly crooks

I got lucky. I'd never heard of them before. I'd filled in Billing Details and Delivery Details and clicked to go the payment page when I got suspicious of the total costings - no mention of VAT! Whilst the payment page was loading I found Trust Pilot and it seems that my suspicions are well founded. Although, thankfully I haven't been ripped off because I noticed in time, there appears to be something incredibly dodgy about these people!

P.S. WAS FORCED TO GIVE 1 STAR!!!!!!!!

Contact bank & get your money back

Hello everyone, I bought a Lacie cinema hard-drive from edock for £127. I normally do my online shopping with the large sites like Amazon for peace of mind, but as this site was recommended through google shopping I thought it must be a legitimate online retailer. Anyway, to cut the story short: money was taken, no item sent; knew something was wrong. Contacted my bank & I've now been refunded my money, & also I'd like to say I paid with a debit card. I hope this is of help. Thanks.

Had to give one star because you can't give none! No stars, they don't deserve any

Wish I'd known about this site before ordering through e.dock, would have saved me £70 odd and a lot of aggro.

Basically same story as some others, order a set of headphones for my son, got charged twice and no goods arrived. Paid via credit card so attempting to get refund via them but, if I'm honest, not expecting much.

Tried e-mailing, no response, tried phoning, what a waste of time and effort!

Next e-mail will be to the BBC's Watchdog programme to make them aware of this scam company.

Would be intrested to know if anyone has actually spoken to e-dock.

Complete Fake - don't order from them or Tomson Direct

Ordered some headphones from them on 17th November, took the money off my credit card that day, no goods received and no responses to 3 emails sent since, phone number just rings out. Their website now says they've had a major server failure and is no longer available.

Transaction on my credit card statement was shown as "Tomson Direct", looked them up online and they seem to be the same company at the same address with the same contact details and the same fake service and goods. Check out reviews on trustpilot.co.uk for Tomson Direct and it's the same story of no goods, no customer service and a lot of upset customers.

Advertised prices on these sites are typically lower than reputable retailers like Amazon, in these hard times everyone is looking to save a few quid, but please don't make the same mistake, especially this close to Christmas. Do not order anything from edock.tv or tomsondirect.co.uk, for the sake of a few quid, save yourself the heartache and hassle of losing money and not getting your goods, spend the extra and order from the big boys that we all know and trust. I have certainly learned a lesson.

If you have paid these scammers money on your credit card, get in touch with the credit card company and report a disputed transaction. If the transaction value is over £100 they are jointly liable for fulfilment of the contract and you should be able to get a refund, similarly if it is under £100 ask for a "chargeback" which is basically the same thing but doesn't have the joint liability. Debit cards are also covered under "chargeback" legislation, so get in touch with your bank. As far as I know if you paid via PayPal you can register a disputed transaction which they should refund but takes a bit longer.

There is plenty of legislation in the UK to help with this - Distance Selling Regulations obligate such "mail order" suppliers (which includes online retailers) to fulfil contracts within 30 days otherwise if there has been no contact or alternative arrangements made the transaction is legally deemed null and void and you are entitled to get you money back.

I purchased an internet tablet (£268) for my son as a christmas prsesnt and after 3 weeks I have realised i've made a huge mistake. The money was taken out of my account and paid into an account which no longer exists and under a company name which has never existed. Need I say anything more??

Would give zero if I could

Ordered speakers online. Payment went though but no conformation number or email from them. Following morning tried calling. The customer service number is unobtainable and no-one answers the sales line. Wish I'd read all of these comments before I placed the order. Worst online shopping experience I've had. All of these dreadful comments can't be wrong.
DO NOT USE!!

Awful - No delivery, no communication

Ordered in July and still no word from them. Tried to cancel but have had no confirmation whether they are going to or not. My account continues to say processing. They gave some indication that there had been a problem with data loss early August but now this message has gone.

No delivery

I must mimic the notes of all the previous reviewers on here - the money was taken from my account and two weeks later no item has been delivered. I must say I wish I had checked for reviews such as these before confirming the order.
Complete cowboys who have simply taken the money with no apparent intention to deliver.
Order from a reputable retailer.

Please avoid at all costs - shocking

They are a very dodgy outfit. I payed though Google Checkout and a week later have nothing despite a supposed 24-48 hour delivery of the item. The customer services line is dead, the order line rings out after a few minutes. I have tried to get a response on the order line number with over 30 attempts but nobody ever answers.

The supposed head office is just a house on a street, I doubt the warehouses actually exist. As I paid through Google Checkout I am hoping there is some degree of protection. I have sent a number of emails to the customer services email address with no response whatsoever. I am awaiting Google's mediation team response to see whether I get my refund or not.

Also, they appear to be using the PC Pro Awards 2010 logo when they were not winners and weren't even on the finalists list.

As everybody here has said - please avoid, it is worth paying the extra and going to a reputable retailer - even if you are supposedly protected by Paypal or Google Checkout.
