Very inflexible support

Very inflexible support. Does not listen/interact with customers effectively. (Take a look at the way Deepcool do things. They are stellar at it).
I recently purchased a GPU from Scan here in the UK. No problem with them (except time waiting to speak to people. But they are very knowledgeable/helpful when you finally get through). I registered the product and tried to buy the extended warranty. Then they only accept payments through Paypal, despite having an Amazon storefront. I would have much preferred to go down that route. They were entirely inflexible on this front. I even reached out to their CEO (Andrew Han) on LinkedIn to see if I could get a dialog going. That fell on deaf ears.
So the next issue was Paypal not recognising my legitimate Mastercard. I didn't want to setup a Paypal account, as I have never wanted my banking details held on file by Paypal. I just wanted to do a straight through transaction.
So now I had to resort to setting up online banking with my bank and go thru a painful registration process that bombed. I must have spent 2 hours at different times - hoping to not go thru the registration process and saying was there any reason my card number would not be recognised.
I eventually set that up, having had a telephone call to EVGA UK - since none of the email exchanges made sense.
I was even then given some bum information, saying I had to setup a Paypal Wallet and transfer money to that. The instructions I was given along with the interaction with my bank because this was a GBP to EU transaction made it impossible to continue. The
Paypal instructions gave me a sort code/account/payee name and ref number.
However my bank was insisting I need to know country. I looked the sort code up online and could see it was for Luxembourg,
Then I was told I was going to incur either a £4 charge to do things online, or a £9 it to be done online.
At that point I gave up talking to my bank, because I couldn't make sense of things.
I thought, let's try this one last time, this time logging into my Paypal account that I'd now setup, and everything worked fine.
Thanks EVGA for wasting 4 hours of my time there for you lack of flexibility/mis-information.
I also advised them every time it took my shipping rather than billing address at the point of hand off from EVGA to Paypal and I could not correct that and make it my billing address. The form was pre-filled/output only.
The card number invalid message occurred on the second screen, and no expiry date or security code had been entered. So it was obviously some client side validation that was flawed when you don't have an account.

It doesn't stop there though. I have also been enquiring about getting a PSU with their support people. I wanted a 1200W Titanium or Platinum PSU. Even though their website said one of those was not discontinued (220-P2-1200-X3) I couldn't get one sent to me.
I had been informed that a new line of PSUs were coming out. I very much settled on EVGA as the PSU of choice because of reviews I'd seen in the past. Certain combos of PSU/GPU can cause coil whine too. I wanted same brand for both so the chance of that happening would be reduced. I don't want to buy a PSU that hasn't got the seal of approval from the likes Tom's Hardware/Johnny Guru etc.
Their email correspondence on this front was atrocious. No PDF of the new stock. No prices. No expected dates. Nothing to empower me. Just left me having to initiate another email to which I have yet to receive a reply.

Evga 850 GQ PSU

Evga 850 GQ.. Bought it and it fried various components of my fairly new computer. My PC was in very good working order until I installed the PSU.

I started an RMA. First guy I spoke to was quite nice, he apologised for the PSU and got the ball rolling for me. They avoided talking about the components their PSU fried/destroyed. I sent the PSU to them and they denied having it for weeks on end. They finally send a replacement and it's re-certified/refurbished..... Should I expect a new PSU?

All I know is that PSU cost me a few hundred £'s in broken components which I have to replace. EVGA didnt really seem bothered in my opinion.

I wouldn't buy from them again.
