Don't touch them with a bargepole !!

I ordered a Sky Caddie 'Gimme' with them on the 18th November 2013 and paid by BACS transfer the same day to get the best price which they stated was the best in the UK. Three days later I got an e-mail from Direct Golf offering it £31.30 cheaper !! They said they would match the price and send a refund with the unit. Delivery was to be within 10 days but took a month for it to arrive and enclosed a cheque which has now bounced twice. A bank transfer was then offered but a week later still not been done.
The unit itself is fine but the customer service is abysmal !!! Be warned.

Golf Gps, What's the Problem

I ordered my SkyCaddie from Golf GPS over the phone on Sat 6th April 2013 and paid in full at the same time, after a pleasant and helpful discussion I was told the unit would be available either on the 10th or the 12th depending on how many units arrive. Due to the time scales involved (going to Celtic Manor for 3 days) I asked if I could pick the unit up which wasn't a problem.

During the week many emails were sent and answered very quickly, I recieved an email on the 10th saying my unit would be ready for collection from the Friday, I drove down to their premises on the Saturday and collected, no problems what so ever.

The unit is perfect and exactly what I wanted, within good timescales and at a price that could not be beaten anywhere else on the net. I would certainly recommend Golf GPS to anyone who would like a good service with units at unbeatable prices.

Steer well clear of this company

I purchased a GPS with slope on 4th Dec as a gift for my partner. I was advised that in order to ensure delivery for Xmas I would need to do an Internet TFT direct into their bank account. After much chasing it finally arrived on the Thurs before Xmas only to find it was the wrong unit and did not have slope as per my order. My partner wanted the GPS for a local friendly competition but the company could not replace it for the correct unit and had no idea when a replacement would be available. I advised that I wanted a full refund of the cost plus postage and duly returned the unit which they received on 28th Dec. To date they have not refunded me. there has not been a Director in to approve. Now they have Internet banking problems. latest promise is refund into my account by the weekend 12th Jan.
I will believe it when I see it and will be taking legal action if I don't get full refund. Alternatively i may turn up at their premises ! They cant ignore me then. They have had my money since 4th Dec . Their Customers seem to be their financier and they never do what they say . Never deal with them and if you do always use your card and that way you can make a chargeback claim and cover yourself. Absolute disgrace and unethical way of doing business.

absolutely terrible customer service

My wife bought me a sky caddie from golfgps for christmas 11,she said they where very freindly and helpful and delivery was not an issue. The unit went faulty after 10 months nothing major just poor battery life, everything was ok "just send it back and we will get it sorted",I sent it back "sorry sir we need the box and all the accesories back as well",why i asked as I was not sure I had kept them ,the answer was "so we can deal with your return quickly" ,well 9 weeks later still no return ,they always answer the email and promised next week it would be sorted on at least 5 occassions they offered me free upgrade to the later model to keep me quiet ,but all these where just empty promises.Eventually i requested a refund which they offered by company check???as they had broken so many other promises ,I wasn't going to let them lie to me about the delivery date on a check as well. I asked for it going to my wifes card they said they could not do this as the transaction was over 1 year old,I can do it on my credit card machine so why cant they? and we would have to request a charge back from the bank , they should have offered to do a bacs/tt payment there and then to make up for there poor service ,there is something not right with this lot ,it seems they just buy to order with the customers money and carry little to no stock although there website clearly shows they have stock ,I have not seen those stock levels ever change I am sure there is some kind of law against this misleading information,I will update you on how the refund goes.

Good service, with competitive prices

Hi placed an order with these guys for a GPS unit. The price was extremely competitive being upto £70 cheaper with some retailers.

Albeit it can take longer than normal to receive the unit it was still received within the quoted timeframes.

Seems if you're looking for the best price available it's logical to wait the time, you'd be a fool to order anywhere else.

Avoid at all costs

I will never deal with this site again. Their delivery date kept being delayed, they ignored my request for a refund and eventually I had to claim my money back via my credit card company.

stay well clear of this site

on 28th march this year i ordered a gps for my sons birthday, ordered being the operative word. after countless e mails im still trying to get a refund.i asked today about my refund , they wanted my bank details so i duly sent them, then they asked for my expiry date, at this point i phoned my credit card company up and was told do not give them anymore details from your card so i am at stalemate at the moment. i agree with all the other comments people have made they should be shut down.on the upside i did order another gps from hot golf this was delivered next day with free case and 2 4 1 voucher so all sites arnt bad.

Avoid Golfgps at any cost!

I ordered a GPS unit. The site said 10-14 days delivery. When I ordered on site the delivery went to 16 working days. When they took my money the delivery moved to 18 working days. Now the delivery has gone to 19 working days (hoha) and I have bought one elsewhere and demanded a refund. Since demanding the refund I have, of course, heard nothing so I shall be on to my credit card people in the morning. This is sales fraud.

I could (almost) cope with this if the company (1 person, I suspect despite the website waffle) realised the importance of communication. Communication is at the bottom of this 'firm's' priorities.

Avoid this site at all costs.

Possibly the GPS is stuck in customs after an Ebay deal!

Warning! GolfGPS is not reliable

In September 2011 I ordered a Leupold GX-1 rangefinder. GolfGPS took the payment from my account but did not deliver the rangefinder. They just talked about back log from their business partner in the U.S but to this date no delivery to me. Legal steps obviously necessary.
