Poor! Purchased some porridge from them and…

Purchased some porridge from them and was expecting delivery, after a week I received a big standard email saying they are out of stock and will send when it arrives.
I tried to contact them but you can’t, just wasted my time with automated web chat. Very poor service

Unable to fulfil delivery service they advertise!!!!

Placed an order on Friday 25th for collected on Saturday 26th…. I had other things to do in the same place but off going to the shopping centre until I received my confirmation.

Saturday came and went. I heard nothing.

I emailed the on Sunday 30th, advising I wanted the order cancelled and it would be first and LAST time I would give my customer to Holland and Barrett.

I received an email the following day, advising it’s processing so cannot be cancelled, however if there is no change on status on Tuesday I must email back and inform them….?

I had surgery today and cannot collect the order even if I wanted to, which I don’t, as I had to venture in to the centre and purchase the goods at double the price from SuperDrugs as they didn’t have an offer at the time.

I will stick to what I know in future. It’s a shame I didn’t check the reviews as they reflect exactly what I experienced.

They are clearly unable to fulfil their delivery service, so I suggest they rid it altogether!

The order still shows as “Order in progress” today; 1st March!

I want my refund or I will be taking the further!

Disgusting service.

I could possibly give Holland and…

I could possibly give Holland and Barrett less than 1 star. I had update on delivery saying delivery will be in the afternoon by Hermes. Cancelled work and stayed for delivery and guess what no delivery and no update either. Called them today only to be told it can be 5 days so they are within time!! Really ?? Misleading a customer about delivery, not even a text to say it is not coming!! What horrible customer service!! Do not bother putting an online order people!!

Wish I had checked the recent reviews

Wish I had bought my items elsewhere. Placed an order for delivery which never turned up. I had to contact a few times to find out what was going on before they agreed to process a refund. Reordered for next day store collection to be told that actually this normally take 3 to 5 days but due to the seasonal period, this is 7 to 10 days... so why is it advertised as next day store collection? Honestly... such a joke! They weren't even the cheapest to be honest. Best to purchase your items from elsewhere.

Order from Holland and Barrett, get Amazon.

I ordered an item from Holland and Barrett through their website. I did not want to use Amazon, and thought H&B a reliable company. I paid the extra for next day delivery. I was rather surprised to find that Amazon was dealing with the delivery. The parcel seems to have done a tour of Britain, travelling from Leicester to Milton Keynes, then to Worcester then back to Banbury (which is about half way between MK and Worcester). So much for sustainability. The only place it hasn't been today is my house. I've tracked the parcel periodically throughout the day, and was a dismayed to see that apparently that there had 'been a problem' delivering my parcel and an attempt had been made but to no avail, instead the parcel will delivered tomorrow (perhaps). So much for 'next day delivery'. I don't know why the driver couldn't deliver the parcel as there's been someone at home all day, people were working near the front of the house with views of the road, I was working outside for a portion of the afternoon, and at the time the driver had supposedly attempted delivery my husband was getting into his car on the drive to go to work. AT NO POINT AT ALL TODAY HAS ANYONE ATTEMPTED TO DELIVER A PARCEL. If I had wanted to buy the item from Amazon I would have done so, but I didn't want to buy from them and went to H&B instead.

This is disappointing service and I won't use H&B again.

UNDELIVERED PARCELS , ISSUE SORTED

I’ve bought my supplements in bulk fir over 2 years.
They’ve been soo efficient.
Recently I got an issue with undelivered parcels( parcel 2 of 2)
I noticed they changed their 3rd party delivery company to Amazon delivery. Truly worst delivery experience.

Lost 2 parcels worth £1,000 .

I really persisted with endless emails until after almost 3 months they have replaced the items in one of the parcels
And refunded the other ( items were out of stock)
Shout out to Alar who sorted out all my issues.
And followed up till they were all resolved.

Great products! Amazing Prices
Please ditch Amazon shipping.
Thanks
It’s a 3 star coz they eventually did sort out the issue but they took 3 months

If I could give this 0 stars I would!

If I could give this 0 stars I would!
what a awful company, they have took my money and have not refunded me and I have received no goods, they told me to wait 3-5 working days and which in that case I have, 5th day and I have heard nothing from them and I have had no refund or help! they are awful. When you email them, they send you a typical template and when you call them they are rude and not even worth your time! They don't care about you being there customer and paying there wages they just make sure they take you money! I have had no order number, no receipt of purchase but they are quick enough to take my money! they are awful and I would not recommend this to anyone, I want my refund. Your all hopeless and most of your colleagues can not do there job.

Awful All Round --Product & Customer "Service"

I was sent a promotion for some omega oil capsules and ordered several tubs. They were incredibly short dated – barely 2 months so they would have been out of date before even one tub was used.
When I called I was told that other people had rung with the same complaint but the main suggestion was that I should go to the inconvenience of travelling especially to a shop to see if they had any with better dates in which case the shop should exchange them. Apparently reasonable to expect me to spend a couple of hours trying to resolve the problem they had caused but impossible for them to spend a few minutes checking their stock situation internally by phone or any kind of online cheque.
Having been forced to the inconvenience of making a special journey the nearest shop was completely out of stock so a complete waste of time.
I had to phone "customer" service again and very grudgingly as if doing me a huge favour they gave me a freepost address. I'm then expected to go and queue at the post office to return their out of date items (of which they were well aware) before eventually getting a refund.
No apology, no obligation to minimise the hassle and inconvenience caused by their failure. I certainly won't be using them again – AVOID.

To be avoided

I just received a template reply from the Customer Service Joanne after almost 25 days...Considering this and the other internet reviews I realize it's just a lost time to deal with this low level company.

Avoid on-line delivery

I purchased goods from Holland and Barratt online and opted for home delivery. I received an e-mail saying when the goods were due to be delivered and later that day received a further e-mail that they had been left in the porch. Funny as I don't have a porch and furthermore no parcel has been left.
I should not be suprised as the delivery firm is Hermes and I have had trouble with them in the past. So, until Holland and Barrat use a reliable delivery firm I will take my business elsewhere.
PS I can't review goods as I have not got them!

From Regular For Years To Not Gonna Shop There Ever

I had been a regular for years basically because I was one of those gullible individuals who believe that higher price and larger store necessarily mean more trustworthy and higher quality. I bought a huge range of products, from charcoal biscuits to liquid cod liver oil, from turmeric capsules to peppermint essential oil, from Swiss herbal lozenges to 1L Soya Milk throughout my shopping history with Holland and Barretts.

On the fateful day of 8/3 Tuesday, in the time range of 11:15am-11:35am (I am not so exact because I was so angry back then), I was told by a shop assistant in a Nottingham City Centre store (neither Lister Gate nor Victoria Centre branch) that I was not supposed to be there.

The first thought that came to my mind was: "I thought racial segregation in retail is supposed to have been outdated." I had no clue why I was not supposed to be there, so I asked her why.

She told me that she saw me trying to pinch something before. I was so shocked that I went all inarticulate and high-pitched, but I still managed to ask her the classical questions: When? Which product?

She was all vague but tried to sound certain, especially when I asked her the WHEN question. She went ballistic on me and asked, "How do I know when?" You cannot accuse somebody of attempting to shoplift and then refusing to answer the basic WHEN question. I was sure that she was making things up because she didn't want a person dressed almost in rags taking up any space in the store even though I was the only customer inside at the time. I assured her that I would do nothing like that and she could watch me shop, I have never been bothered by staff escorting and observing me while I'm shopping because it's their duty to minimise product loss and to assist any customer in need, but to banish a person for arbitrary reason is just way too unprofessional! From what I heard, she claimed to have watched me trying to pinch something from the frozen foods area (the most irrational of choices I must say, of all the useful and expensive products, frozen foods simply aren't worth stealing). She was saying it while standing very close to me as if she actually watched me do it. She even asked another member of staff for confirmation, "Is this the lady not allowed in the store?" That member of staff took an extremely brief look from afar and said yes, then she disengaged by looking elsewhere and doing something at the counter.

This rude shop assistant even went on to claim that their manager spoke to me before. I was shocked because I don't even know who the manager was. It turns out that the manger was actually a manageress, but I still don't know who it is to this day. When I asked for her, the shop assistant claimed she's on holiday. How many more lies can one take? She went mad and asked me, "Why are you questioning me?" What right did she have to be mad? I told her clearly that it simply wasn't me. Well, there's no way somebody would look, sound and behave so like me that I would be mistaken for someone else this up-close for more than 5 minutes! She repeatedly insisted that it was me, that's when I concluded that she's a baldfaced liar.

Not only did she threaten to call security on me (if I had been even more ferocious, I would have called the police for any unjustified force used by the security to throw me out), but she sounded all sarcastic and claimed that I must have a twin. I deny having a twin, there's just no way in this world would I have a twin unless it's a shapeshifting alien. Do I now have grounds to accuse this shop assistant of being on drugs at the time? I am sure she would be mad if my accusation was false. It's that same feeling. Of course I went out before she called security, because I'm not conflict-seeking by nature, but one cannot expect me to give up without a fight when it comes to defending my honour.

I always assumed there're CCTVs in shops even if I cannot see them, and I have a crime-free record and personality. Christianity teaches me to be a good citizen, and that's who I am being. Jesus didn't steal or rob, neither did I. After that experience, I was tempted to go back and see their reaction, but in the end, I adopted the solution of peace. I go elsewhere to restock my supplies, it's their loss, not mine, that they banned me. After all, I had previously spent a lot of money with them, despite not finding their rewards card any useful. They have a wide product range, but to be honest, they are definitely overpriced. I can get the same things through Amazon and independent sellers, so I feel liberated. However, the general public needs to know the truth.

I always bring my ID with me and have never been afraid of the police because I know I walk and stand straight under the law. So if you doubt my trust credentials, don't be afraid to ask me questions regarding the incident.

I was planning to write a letter of complaint to the head office, but it's so much of a hassle that I was advised against doing so. What can I gain from writing and posting such a letter? A half-hearted apology AT BEST!

Check Use By Dates!!

Normally do not have any problem when I buy in store - but when they had a online sale 50% discount I decided to stock up on one particular supplement.
Ordered enough for my family to last 18 months.
Recieved order in a week - well packaged...but the use by date was within 2 months!!!! The other companies I usually purchase from always make sure I have around min 2 years before use by date - so was horrified.
Contacted customer services requesting a replacement - was informed that they could not guarantee that my replacement would not also be with only 2 months left on expiry date and that as the product were still considered 'Good' that refund of return postage would not be considered.
Requested if I could just take it to local holland and barrets retailer for exchange - was told I could not.
Cannot see why they cannot check the dates before they ship when someone orders 18 bottles (120 caps) 2 a day - they would know that a 2 month expiry date just is not enough.
Did consider that the reason why they had the 50% discount was due to the expiry date - but should they have not stated on their website?
