Its not worth it.

Even if the price looks very cheap you will end up regretting your decision to sign with this company. At the start of my contract I had less than 1 MB of internet and then after MANY calls they sent a new modem which fixed nothing. The internet EVENTUALLY got better, however the speed was still very slow. And now that it's been more than 1 year the company is once again failing to deliver their promised internet speed and I am sitting here unable to play online games due to the atrocious internet speed that this company provides.

PRIMUS now Fuel Broadband, same company!

Bad customer service-they'llbill for what's not delivered, download speed 8Mbps MAX.

I'm currently in month 3 of a 12 month contract...I regret the day I ever heard of these people, bad internet service, not at all of the upload or download speeds promised and that's if you get internet.

Are they billing while they can clearly see a line fault ....YES, with a promise to review compensation once the fault has been fixed? How about Fuel NOT billing me until it is!! Do NOT get me started on the cut off phone conversations

Bad experience

They put up their prices a month after I signed a 12 month contract. When leaving them I was treated very poorly by their incompetent and unhelpful Customer Service.

Primus Saver (New Call Telecom)

I had a salesman at my door a few months ago stating he was from talk talk trying to sell me broadband,I agreed due to the low cost then I got the confirmation of my order it was actually primus saver NOT talk talk,so new call telecom are a company NOT to be trusted at all.
New call telecom have now changed their name to fuel broadband most likely because of the bad reviews and I'm guessing they will keep changing their company name to get business and also to confuse people,I'm glad I cancelled mine before the order went through I regard myself as one of the lucky ones who got off lightly.
My advice to anyone looking for cheap broadband is to shop around and use a reputal well known Internet service provider because if it sound's to good to be true then it probably is.

Shocking customer service

I have to admit I have never had any trouble with the actual broadband service provided by primus saver, but the customer service skills are shocking. I had thought I was on unlimited broadband For £12 per month from November 2011 until a friend moved in in July 2013. Suddenly I started to receive bills of £40-£50. My friend had been downloading TV etc. So I rang Primus in October 2013 and they said they would upgrade me to unlimited for £18 per month. However, the large bills kept coming, and every time I rang up refusing to pay as I was supposed to be on £18 unlimited, they would say they that I must pay up to date but they will transfer me onto unlimited now. This must have happened at least 4/5 times spanning 9 months and each time I was having to wait ages to get through and to get the correct response. I could go into more detail but there's not enough room. In March 2014 I stopped my DD as I figured they had plenty of money on my overpaid account. Around July 2014 they cut the service off. So I rang them and they said they had credited my account with the issues from the past and that I needed to start paying again. So I did and to be fair things have been ok. Until today when I have called to cancel as I am moving house. The kind gentleman on the phone told me that I will need to pay £100 as my contract runs from July 2014 to Dec 2015 and so I need to pay £5 for every service for every month by the sound of it. Unbelievable. I don't ever remember signing or agreeing to a new contract and most certainly never agreeing to these terms. They've going away to listen to my recorded phone calls. I wonder if they'll even ring me back...or will they just string it out longer so that I incur more charges. Very very frustrating indeed!!!!!! I would never use this company again!!

Worst customer service

Was sold 12mb download speed by the door salesmen then after a month everything slowed down taking up to an hour to download a single 40min episode off sky hd demand I complained and was then told my download speed was 9mb not 12mb asked to speak to a manager over a month ago and still no reply I've emailed numerous times and still just ignored

Not bad

I've been with this since December 2013 and I think I only ever ever been without Internet twice, during the night and it would be back on by morning. Only thing missing which I would like is an online payment system, as the customer service can be slow sometimes. Not had any unexpected charges either. Plus I've never been cut off, sometimes the bill would be 2-3 weeks overdue.

Very Poor Service

Been with primus for a while and my speeds we're dropping this caused pages to be slow at loading, buffering also had a lot of crackling on line when trying to speak you could barely hear them.

There customer service is appalling as I wanted to know why I was getting slow speeds and buffering was told that was what my line could take yet when I first singed up to them my broadband connection was very good and I wanted to upgrade my package but the guy just laughed at me and put the phone down on me have now moved to another provider.

Steer clear at all cost!

Internet running speeds between slow and nothing for days at a time. Then receiving a notice reporting services will be terminated in 7 days. Having spent an obscene amount of time on hold (£23 in calls) and still unable to speak to anyone. I was told I had an outstanding bill for the 3 months after the date on the cease notice as apparently 'they don't mean it they are just to get people to pay' numerous emails later I am still waiting to hear anything! Worst customer service I have ever experienced

Very bad company

I had been with primus for a number of years and have had good service that is until they hooked up with new call and talk talk , since then I have changed my contract that's when it went from bad to worse first the phone line was connected to someone else's phone witch left me with no phone for five days , and customer services just kept telling me it was my phone and it would cost me £150 to repair it turned out to be their fault not mine , that was just for starters they barred my calls to Australia , and lied to me about it being company policy for a number of years not true , still waiting for my phone call back from them . I have emailed them no reply ,and I have written to Nigel Eastwood head of new call and he has not replyed to me so avoid this company this company is not fit for purpose

dont do it.

Never in my life have I been spoken to rudely until today. I phoned them up because I was told to make a payment as my direct debit failed. I told them I didn't get paid til the 28th but theu didn't care. So I paid Sunday and this morning they had taken another payment. I phoned and they said there was nothing they could do. And if it didn't show up on their system then I didn't pay which I did because I have proof from my bank. When I was transferred to credit control I was greeted wit. " What do you want" I could not believe it. I want to leave but can't afford the 120 theu want to cancel it. I'm gutted I ever joined.

Terrible service

Do you want a good and friendly internet and calls service? Don't go here then!

I've been with them for a number of months now and I have received very slow internet speeds. They have asked me to do a test in order to try and 'speed up' the broadband, but they keep saying they've never gotten the results.

Although it's cheap, it's certainly not worth it. I would rather eat the modem than use them!

Have to be honest...

.. despite sluggish start off, and after reading STACKS of scathing reviews, I've had no problems whatsoever after 1 year of service. Never use the phone line so can't comment. Maybe I'm one of the lucky few! Lol! Speed is rubbish however that's more to do with where I am than the provider itself.

Inept company and so called technical help

Got this company through carphone warehouse - was an offer they were running. Boy was I in for a rude awakening. Intermittent broadband, sometimes going for weekend without it. Have called customer service til im blue in face all for nothing - one guy told me to disconnect face plate of phone socket and he would test line and fone back - still waiting........have finally decided after a lot of calls and patience running out to terminate agreement and told them I wont be paying early termination fees - the can whistle for that one trading standards might be interested in learning about this company cos no way do they provide a service to anyone.....

Lying door to door salesperson

Primus signed my elderly Father up for their broadband and phone service and persuaded him to leave Sky. They told him he could get his Sky Sports channels for free by buying a 'VIP Box' on Amazon. This is of course, not the case and was simply a way of persuading an older and trusting gentleman to sign up. VIP Boxes are technically legal but a bit of a risk and they're certainly now on Amazon.

Be wary of any promises they make and if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
