They have the lowest price of the camera I have been looking for. Item delivered and I am very happy with my purchase. The only thing that I can say is that it took a couple of days before they have managed to give a tracking number. They do update you about the order that it has been dispatched via email but it took a couple of days before they have sent the tracking number so I got a bit worried. Other than that I am happy with the service.

I ordered a Canon ET-54B Lens Hood from Bristol Cameras for £8, plus £4.50 postage. The item was clearly advertised as “IN STOCK” when I placed the order.
My payment was taken and I received an order confirmation, but then nothing. No dispatch confirmation, no tracking information and no meaningful communication.
After several days, I called them. Their website does not appear to provide a customer service email address or contact form, only two telephone numbers, and getting through was not easy.
When I finally spoke to someone, I was told that although my order had been accepted, they could not actually find the item. I was given a very vague explanation that it may have been lost from stock or possibly stolen, and that they would try to obtain another one. There was no clear timeframe or guarantee that they could fulfil my order.
I initially agreed to wait another 2–3 days.
The following day, however, I checked their website again. The same product was still advertised as “IN STOCK”, but the price had suddenly increased from £8 to £14.50.
I called again and, after several attempts, eventually got through. I asked why my existing order had not been dispatched if the website stated that the item was in stock. The answer was again that they could not actually find it.
I questioned why they continued advertising the item as “IN STOCK” when they already knew they could not fulfil my order, particularly while increasing the price by £6.50. I was told that they did not believe this was illegal.
I cancelled my order. At this point, I simply had no confidence in the company.
I am also concerned that the website does not provide an email address for customer contact. This appears inconsistent with the requirements applicable to online traders under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which require online sellers to provide an email address for customers.
More importantly, advertising an item as “IN STOCK” when the company has already acknowledged that it cannot locate or fulfil the item raises serious concerns under the UK rules on misleading commercial practices, including the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.
The £8 price and the £4.50 postage are not the issue. The issue is the lack of transparency, poor communication, inaccurate stock information and the unexplained price increase while an existing order remained unfulfilled.
For a company describing itself as “UK's 1st Choice of Digital Cameras and Accessories”, this was a very disappointing experience.
I would not order from Bristol Cameras again.

Thank you for your response. However, there are still some important points that your reply does not address.
Firstly, it does not explain why your website does not provide an email address for customer contact, which is a separate issue from the fulfilment of my order.
More importantly, there is a clear contradiction regarding the stock. When I contacted you, the item was still advertised as “IN STOCK”, but at the increased price of £14.50. I was told by phone that the item could not be located and that the stock investigation was still ongoing.
You now state that the stock had been found yesterday and was due to be dispatched today. However, when I spoke to you today, I was told that the item was still being investigated and could not be located. These two accounts do not appear to be consistent.
I also note that the item is now once again advertised at the original £8 price. This does not change the fact that, while my existing £8 order remained unfulfilled, the product was advertised as in stock at £14.50.
My concern has never been the £8 itself. It is the lack of clear communication, the conflicting information regarding stock, and the price changing while an existing order remained unresolved.
I appreciate the refund, but these issues remain unexplained.

Customer Service is excellent, the next day delivery was spot-on, the actual binoculars (Pentax Papilio 3) are beyond my expectations. I already own the Papilio 2 model (which are excellent), the upgrades on the version '3' are well worth the purchase. These are the best binoculars in my stable.

Order was dispatched and delivered quicky, and the price and selection were excellent. But the goods (4 bottles of darkroom chemicals) arrived in worst packaging I've seen in a long time. a re-used paper box with 3 pieces of tape holding it together, a couple of bits of (deflated) inflatable packing and a "lithium battery" sticker is hardly appropriate for 3 litres of mixed chemicals.
Not terribly impressed, but I got my goods, but I'll be getting my chemistry somewhere else.
Edit:
Seller has replied that they use only recycled boxes for packaging, this is a commendable practice, and worth encouraging, but there really ought to have been a bit more stuffing in the box, attention to detail matters when shipping chemicals. I'm pretty sure Royal mail feel the same.

Was very disappointed to see the ordered film that was sent was part of a 'Not For Individual Resale' set. As a buisness owner this feels very dishonest to the customer and is technically illegal to do...It even says on the back of the box 'To be sold only as part of ×40 pack'.
I regretted ordering after reading the poor reviews from other customers, and this has only reconfirmed to me not to use this company again for orders.

One of those companies that takes orders, confirms orders and then emails you again 4-minutes later saying,
“ dear customer, thank you for your order. Our suppliers have confirmed that further stock is already on route to us and will be with you shortly Thank you for your patience Bristol Cameras”
The poor grammar isn’t mine, it’s theirs.
They say please call us if you have any issues. They provide two telephone numbers. Neither are answered. They don’t divert to voice message. After a minute or two, you are cut-off.
Money back TODAY please. Order number #235813
Update: money was returned promptly so thank you for that.
Just read your reply. Looks like the company is allowing the work experience kid to deal with these issues. That’s nice, but it’s important that we’re accurate. YOU DID NOT SAY THE ITEM WOULD BE DELIVERED WITHIN THREE WORKING DAYS. CHECK YOUR EMAIL.
TODAY IS THE 9TH OF AUGUST. THE ITEM WAS A SMALL RIG HALF LEATHER CASE FOR A RICOH GR4 - BLACK. IF YOU’RE TELLING THE TRUTH THIS WILL BE BACK IN STOCK AND AVAILABLE TO ORDER ON WEDNESDAY 12th. INSTEAD OF SENDING A FACILE RESPONSE, CONFIRM ON WEDNESDAY THAT YOU’VE GOT IT IN STOCK. YOU’LL BE INUNDATED WITH ORDERS AND I WILL HAVE DONE YOU A FAVOUR.
LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU ON WEDNESDAY, IF YOU’RE NOT BACK TO SCHOOL THEN.
Just in case you decide to delete these messages…
“within 4 minutes of placing your order we confirmed that we do have more stock on route to us and therefore goods would have been with you within 3 working days. You make a very interesting read with soooo many moans on your other reviews and paints an excellent picture of "your" character. Customers like you lack appreciation, rude and think they live such a perfect life, we are pleased to cancel your order and can confirm £42.99 has been refunded. Have a lovely weekend and please excuse any porr grammaor ! FANK YOU. Sorry I do not know what "Facile" means, but will ask my teacher. We have no intentions of deleting as we are getting a flood of comments about "YOU" LOL. Reading your other negative review about the sofa you bought, losing significant support and sinks, not surprising when you spend all day just sat there moaning. However I will say having exposed you of written 13x bad reviews to other companies and 3x good reviews since June to August, why all of a sudden 3x good reviews one after the other these last few days. I am not falling for it, your not the average nice guy, Joe”

Purchased two pairs of solar glasses in order to view the upcoming eclipse safely.
After waiting two weeks the items arrived. Two flimsy ill fitting badly made cardboard “glasses”.
Terrible overpriced item. I was looking at purchasing a couple of L Canon lens when initially looking at the online store but will now be taking my custom elsewhere. I recommend you do the same.

Very pleased. First time shopping with Bristol cameras. All the items were at a good price, some substantially cheaper than anywhere else. Order was processed quickly and delivery in 48 hours. No complaints at all and will definitely use Bristol cameras again.

Highly recommended. Ordered 3 accessories for my DSLR; cleaning kit, filter and body cap. After an unsatisfactory experience with three national photo retailers, Bristol came good. All items in stock and were received 8 weekdays after my order. Excellent service; I now know where to go first next time I need something.

I got my camera batteries muddled up and accidentally wrote a review for them, then realised it was actually a different brand that were the malfunctioning batteries and not the ones they'd sent me- after they'd offered to resolve the problem. 🤦🏻♀️ So sorry Bristol Cameras. I'm very happy with the battery and service I got from you!

Made an online order, price was good and delivery was fairly prompt. The box of the product was bashed, I guess in transit, but no damage to product itself, so no issue for me.
Overall a positive experience, would shop again.

having dealt with bristol cameras since 2019, i once again ordered through them.
a simple fibre optic cable for my strobe, required for my holiday to egypt and some lovely underwater photos
I ordered on the 28/05 for a holiday on the 30/06 thinking plenty of time for something documented on the their website as UK Stock
first email sent on the 04/06 was ignored and not answered
First phone call wondering where my £100 was was also brushed off as it's on its way 05/06 and the person responsibile will call you monday as they don't work fridays
call monday 08/06 to be told its been ordered and will be with us next week and to you probably the week after
call 24/06 to be told, someone will update your status on your email today. - nothing
call 25/06 to be told - and whilst looking at my order on their screen "the person that deals with this isnt here and they will update your order via email later"
Call 26/06 spoke to Adam who claimed to be the manager, again it's going to be another week or two, although they claim UK stock he confirmed (and recorded) as stating it's not UK stock
in all this time, not one call or email to update me.......
So buy from someone else as communication is absolutely crap, you'll end up chasing all the time and they're just a drop ship company now.
and the lack of customer service has me that annoyed I became a verified trust pilot reviewer

A delightful company to deal with. I order a lot of darkroom stuff from them - film developing chemicals, and stuff like that. First of all they stock EVERYTHING or can seemingly get hold of anything if they don't have it in stock, and even though they don't have a customer service email (almost knocked a star off for this) when you do ring up to ask a question or check the status of an order, they pick up really quickly and are really friendly on the phone - it's old school customer service, and it's brilliant. Highly recommend Bristol Cameras.

Brilliant service. Firstly, Bristol Cameras had the lens cap, which Canon didn't as the camera is discontinued. Secondly, as I needed the cap urgently as I'm going on holiday, I called Bristol Cameras. They arranged for immediate dispatch which was confirmed 19 minutes after the order was placed. Brilliant 'over and above' service. Very much appreciated.

Having had no luck with online 'research', I decided to do it the old fashioned way and pick up the phone! The gentleman I spoke to at Bristol Cameras was extremely helpful. He solved my problem, gave advice and I had no qualms about ordering from them immediately. Icing on the cake - the item arrived the next day - brilliant! Thank you.
