Scam company

this is a scam company. When i placed a vacuum cleaner order, I received an email from them including thier bank account details and telling that they have a problem in online payment system. The second day they took the money and I haven't receive my order so far. Thier website doesn't exist anymore and thier email also doesn't exist. I reported this crime to action fraud and still waiting to thier response.

Scam Site

This company is a scam company, who will defraud you of your money. I lost a lot of money with them purchasing things that Google Shopping pushed into my feed. The company's bank, Barclays Bank, refuses to acknowledge any moral obligation in returning the stolen money and is not pursuing this criminal. The police are using acknowledged evidence of fraud 'to build a picture of fraud in the UK'. Not satisfactory for the many, many genuine customers who lost their money because Clevedons perpetrated a crime through google.

Terrible.. slow, does not answer email at all

I purchased a Krups coffee machine here, the parcel took 2 weeks to arrive (after being promised 3 day delivery) and the product was clearly used and repackaged, probably a catalogue return or ex-demo machine. I tried to contact them to arrange a refund and my emails are never answered at all, the phone is never answered.

I would avoid this company at all cost.

Scam

Order placed 23rd March same result as other reviewers - problem with card processing email please pay by bank transfer. Thankfully I didn't but have since noticed the website is no more - like the old saying goes if an offer is to good to be true it usually is :-(

Thieves

As above we have been scammed too. Should have trusted our initial suspicion of bank transfer. The emails were far better than the obvious offshore scammers and the website looked genuine.

Sure looks dodgy.......but.........I did get a reply to my emails

Placed an order with this company on 17th March 2015 & had an email back fairly promptly saying that they were having problems with their card processing and to pay by bank transfer in order to avoid delays. I emailed asking what was happening and had an email back from a James Clevedon saying 'We just finished fixing the payments issue, we are just in the testing stage now. I'll cancel this order for you now, if you choose to reorder then you may do so in the morning.' I replied asking him not to cancel the order and logged on again in the morning and completed the purchase using my credit card. I then emailed again on the Friday asking about my order and again a James Clevedon replied 'Your order actually shipped and should be with you in a couple of days.' Today is Weds 25th March and no goods have arrived, my emails now bounce back and the web site is off line. So far my card has not been charged but I'm sure glad I didn't pay by bank transfer. All last week the web site was displaying a 'sale' that was to end on Friday 20th March but was then suddenly extended to Monday 23rd March. Could it be that the 'sale' was used to suck people in only for them then to close. Definitely NOT NICE!!!
A Whois lookup says that the domain name is registered at 33 Clevedon Road, Portishead

My friends and I were tricked

They wont reply your emails. Answer your calls. The only email they sent out is their bank details asking for transfer, sent at the wee hours of the morning. When your credit/debit card payment fails to go through on the website. Another friend even got an email saying the item has been shipped. I cant believe this company appeared on the top results of Google search. Google should be more aware of scam companies such as this. No wonder the prices were ridiculously cheap. Buyers beware. Avoid buying from Clevedons at all cost. Have made a report to the National Fraud Authority.

UPDATE 1st May 2015

I reported them to action fraud and to the bank on 24th March 2015. I have just recieved a letter from the bank saying they cant recover the money as the Barclays account holder who is committing this fraud has refused authority to send it back but can make claim via the court and have Barclays as the defendant then Barclays will then have to give the details of the account holder so can make claim against them and pass to police.

I urge everyone to report this company to your bank and to Action Fraud WWW dot ACTIONFRAUD dot POLICE dot UK (wont allow website addresses in reviews) But report them, and will be investigated

I HAVE HAD TO REPORT FOR FRAUD AS THEY HAVE RIPPED OFF MY TEENAGER. THEY CLAIM THEIR CARD PAYMENT SYSTEM DOESNT WORK SO THEY SAY YOU HAVE TO PAY BY BANK TRANSFER BUT OFFER A LOVELY DISCOUNT AS INCENTIVE TO DO THIS AND LIE SAYING OF COURSE YOU ARE STILL COVERED BY THE MONEY BACK GUARANTEE, MY TEENAGER FELL FOR THIS AND SENT THEM A LARGE SUM OF MONEY FOR A PRODUCT THAT HAS NEVER BEEN DELIVERED. THE TELEPHONE NUMBER ON THE SITE DOESNT WORK, AND THE ADDRESS THEY GIVE FOR THEIR BUSINESS ISN'T THEIR ADDRESS, ALL OF THEIR EMAILS RECEIVE AN AUTO REPLY AND ANY REQUEST FOR A REFUND GOES UNANSWERED. HAVE REPORTED FOR FRAUD
