AVOID!
I used this company to buy an MP3 player that never showed up. They never refunded my money, and, as I I used a debit card, my bank weren't very helpful either.
They didn't reply to any emails, and they have no phone number.
These guys are dirty scammers.
F*k 'em!
Worst online store I have ever used!
I bought a foxconn media center off this site 'computer webstore', they took my money instantly and i got an email the next day saying item has been sent. A week later nothing, 2nd week still nothing so I emailed them asking whats happening and all I got back was auto email saying 'a member of staff will deal with my problem asap'. 3rd week still nothing, so after 3 more emails I sent them another email cancelling the order. I still didnt hear anything, so I started to go through my credit card company to get my money back, in the mean time i bought an asrock media center pc from scan.co.uk. I received it 2 days later which was great service. After 6 weeks, I got my money back from my credit card company and on the 7th week I got the foxconn from 'computer web store' lol so i sold it on ebay and made £150 lol. DO NOT use this sorry excuse for a website money grabbing twats.
Steer clear of this company or risk losing your money
This company was quick to debit my credit card following my order for a pair of speakers (£82.53). Three weeks later, after numerous attempts to contact them regarding the status of my order, I cancelled it. Big mistake. I never heard from them again, despite sending numerous emails and letters, and worse still, BT Visa won't reimburse me because I cancelled the order within 30 days of placing it. ComputerWebStore have now had my money for nine weeks (and counting) and I'm faced with chasing them through the Small Claims Court - costly and tedious. My advice is: steer clear of this company.
Utter rubbish
Item never received at our charity. I suspect they are riff off merchants as they haven't bothered to reply to various attempts to contact them.
Bad customer experience
This company debited the credit card within 48 hours. They have not supplied any goods, they have no intention of supplying goods and the site is a complete ripoff. They are currently under police and trading standards investigation.
Absolutely abominable
I implore you to stay away from this company with all possible vigour and determination. They've had my money for almost a month having promised delivery within 3 days. Since their supposed 'confirmation' email, they have not responded to 3 emails from me so I have now contacted Visa to perform a chargeback on the transaction. You absolutely must not shop with this company - do NOT be tempted by their low prices. Worst company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with.
ComputerWebstor Rip-Off Conmen, now Closed Down
I was another, £79.00 for a camera which was never shipped. Fortunately Visea protection, so hope there. Checked today, the Website has closed, so Merseyside Police and Office of fair trading is the only option.
Lesson - always use Visa, or similar
when a deal looks too good to be true...
just writing to add my bad experience to the long list on this site.
goods paid, order never shipped, etc.
fortunately these were relatively inexpensive speakers -- which you could buy on amazon at slightly higher price, or on the Apple store.
Should have invested more time researching the merchant. Hopefully the word will spread fast though.
Calling the police first thing on Monday morning -- calling my bank second.
Don't bother reading all the reviews...
...Just simply, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE. I stress agin. They will never send your product. The firm is a scam and I was lucky to be covered by VISA in order to get my money back.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING AT ALL FROM THEM!
contact merseyside police!
I followed the advice of this forum and called merseyside police.
they have taken loads of details, provided me with a reference number to call my bank to claim as fraud. apparently your bank then have take on the responsibility of the party who is out of pocket and provide you with a refund. they will then persue this further.
Interestingly, merseyseide police advised that they have a massive file on computer webstore and receive regular complaints about them. they are conducting a full investigation into the fraudulent activity that is going on there.
I say that everyone who has been stung do exactly the same. I work within an industry that deals with distance selling regulations, trading standards and consumer direct on a regular basis and although they have a lot of information, they have very little means of enforcement and can take an extremely long time to come about a resolution.
**UPDATE**
Merseyside police later informed me that the only course of action was through trading standards who, as predected, were not overly helpful. i am now left to take this to court personally. In addition, CWS have also deleted my account on their website so I can no longer log in and try to contact them. still no response to emails, letters sent by recorded delivery, or contact made by trading standards.
Total scam
Ordered software on-line, received email receipt (normal practice in my experience of other web-shopping) and yet to have any delivery.
Goods were reputedly ex-stock, delivery was due in 3 days. Nothing yet received.
Used their email contact system (no telephone contact available). Received automated reply saying "being looked into". No further response yet.
If nothing received by the end of this week I will refer to Police and Trading Standards as has been suggested by other reviewers here.
non contactable conmen
as per everyone else it seems, ordered software, 2 weeks later nothing, no reply to emails and no number to call.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
computerwebstore do not use
ordered a week ago. googled the company to try to find a contact number. and wish i had done so earlier.
you never know, it might actually turn up. if not i will call the police and hopefully no one else has to go through this.

Still waiting . . .
I ordered a sound card from computerwebstore on 29 December. Payment of £37 was taken from my bank account on 4 January. I started emailing them on 15th January, first of all asking for an update on progress of the order and later on asking for a refund. So far (30th January) they have not responded and the sound card has not been delivered. Hope this will help to warn other potential customers to take their business elsewhere.
Useless
They sounded like a good solid company, but waited a month, no goods, they stopped replying to my emails when I started to inquire about the parcels whereabouts, which courier is delivering it, etc. I went to my bank and complained, some good news, I got a chargeback for the £270 (January 22 2010). This seems like a terrible company, I would advise anyone, tell your bank, I used a Visa debit card so I was covered, you do need to tell the bank fraud squad within 120 days. But I'm buying my goods elsewhere.
rip off
like everybody else I trusted that upon my order it would be dispatched within the three days.3 weeks later I am still waitning
Scammmm!!!!
Dun ever try to place any order!!The best advice is dun ever go their sitesss...disregards all the reviews which favour them! they will not send what u have order!
An Absolute Scam***
Everyone* ATTENTION*
These guys are a scam and WILL NOT send your goods. I have just be stung by the fraudsters myself.
By the time you read this it's probably too late......as you too have been made a fool of.
