I purchased 2 in 1 device and and a little over a year later, I had to replace the battery. This was a brand new device 14 months ago and it just stopped charging. It was very disappointing! I had a previous version of the same device that even after 5 years, it never required a battery. Once I purchase a new battery, it came without any tools to install it or directions of any kind. You would l think my $140 purchase would at least come with a link to directions. When I replace this laptop, it will not be with another Dell product. No way to leave a review on the company website so I am leaving it here.
Do not buy a Dell!!!! They are rip off artists.
Do not buy a Dell. This company should be taken to court for the way they clearly mislead their customers. I bought a so called business laptop that they advertise as having a "long battery life" but it only lasts 3 hours before it needs recharging. Took it back to the retailer and have been back and forth for over six months. Finally managed to get a hold of someone at Dell who then said "oh sorry it is six months old so we won't refund" their products are crap, the website is a maze to use and their customer service is shit!

Extremely Disappointed with Dell’s Service
I have been a loyal Dell customer since 2013, but this experience has completely shattered my trust. After patiently waiting and providing all required information within the one month deadline you set, I received a repair quote that was more than 50% higher than previously offered. My complaint was dismissed, stating the earlier price was merely a temporary promotional offer and external market factors could justify any increase, but without any concrete proof or transparency.
This entire situation feels absurd and frankly disrespectful to long time customers like myself. The lack of consistency, accountability, and a real customer service presence in Italy is unacceptable. I am now forced to switch to another provider, and I will be sharing this experience across every platform I can to warn others about Dell's poor handling of service cases.

Dell’s “Policy” Actively Harms Trauma Survivors
I’m deeply disappointed in Dell. I requested a simple update to my account email because my previous one includes a deadname tied to PTSD, physical assault, and long-term trauma. Despite explaining the mental health and safety concerns, Dell refused — repeatedly — citing "policy."
Let me be clear: this is not about convenience. This is about dignity, safety, and respect for trauma survivors. Other companies have secure methods for updating identity-sensitive information. Dell chose to ignore that and instead retraumatized me by forcing continued contact with a name I’ve worked hard to escape.
Their refusal to accommodate this request is not only harmful — it’s unethical. They offered no secure workaround, no escalation to a trauma-informed support agent, and no compassion.
This isn't just poor customer service. It’s a complete failure of empathy and accessibility.
People like me deserve to be seen and supported — not deadnamed and dismissed.
Dell fails at small business support needs
Dell's small business section of its website should not sell the Optiplex 3000 if it isn’t a computer. I returned the units 40 days later after discovering they were non-functional for our needs, but I was charged a $300 restocking fee, The site failed to alert me as a small business ordering only four devices that they were not in fact computers and did not work independently from other equipment. I’ve owned Optiplex computers which are standalone units years ago. These were sold in the small business section. I called Dell twice within the 30 day window, asking how to make these computers work and no one once told me these were not computers. Additionally, the monitors I ordered did not match the non-computers.
During my first call, I hung up out of fear that I was speaking to a scam number. When I finally got through, the representative threatened to hang up if I couldn’t find the ST number quickly. I’m now looking to purchase elsewhere for my upcoming 100-person office, frustrated by receiving a device that isn’t even a computer.
Wow...
Wow....
I loved DELL computers... they were easy to use and fix... but DAM i recently bought a G3 and the plastic broke after few months T^T
DELL IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!!
I purchased an Inspiron 15 in December 2024. There’s a pop-up that constantly appears and is preventing me from getting my work done. I've tried everything to get rid of it with no success. I called Dell, and they want to charge me a $99.00 service fee to repair it. I explained that I have a one-year warranty, but they told me the warranty only covers hardware, which I did not know. They refuse to help me, and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, the representative said they would not take my call. Now she said they will call me back in 24 hours. I also asked for a refund, and they said that's not possible. So they sell you a defective product and refuse to repair it.

A company that is unreliable and lacks professionalism; Alienware products are good, albeit overpriced. The premium support turned out to be not so premium, and the so-called 'Advanced Resolution Services' seem to focus more on maximizing profit from resolutions rather than actually resolving issues. They fail to understand that if customers are deceived and mistreated, they are the ones who ultimately lose
Complaint: Vostro 7620, hinge defect
Complaint:
I got my Dell Vostro 7620 in November 2022. It remains permanently on my desk as a secondary laptop for screen recording. Hardly has it moved away from my desk and only a few times has it been used. That said, my complaint is that I recently discovered one of the hinges to be cracked so I called up support for it to be replaced/repaired.
On getting through to support I was then told that I have one claim against "Accidental Damage" a year and that the only way it can be repaired is for it to be done under this claim. I then quickly did a research on the net for broken Dell hinges and found out that quite a lot of people have issues with Dell hinges and just like me even on fairly new laptops. I explained this to the support staff but they will not have it so I agreed for the repair to be done as "Accidental damage".
So today, an engineer came round and to my surprise, instead of changing just the hinge he had to replace the whole screen as the hinge cannot be detached. So I asked the engineer to let me take photos of the broken hinge as it was evident that the crack happened along the line of the molded joint on the "Plastic" plus it had a cables going through it and that would have exerted much pressure forcing it to crack (photo evidence exist.)
My point in all this is, I now have evident that this is a manufacturers defect and can prove it to be and I need to do this as I was forced to have the repair done as "Accidental Damage" whereas there was clearly no accident. I have a number of photos to show the laptop looking almost as new with absolutely no indication of an accidental damage (immaculate condition.)
Submitted this at Dell Support on May 25th, 2023 07:00 and have just discovered that other people have almost exactly the same issue

Do you want to waste £1800 - Buy a DELL
Do you want to waste £1800? Then buy a DELL Workstation, but you will be able to use it for about 6 months before the case cracks apart! I bought mine last July.
I'm pretty much disabled these days and my new DELL Workstation sits on my desk in front of my chair in the living room. I move it forwards or backwards about a foot when I want to use it. Over the last couple of months a small crack in the case has turned into a large crack, directly above a screw in the lower half of the case which holds them together.
I contacted DELL and I am told that 'accidental damage' is not covered and that I have to pay for repairs! Seriously?!
The case is made of flimsy, thin plastic, which considering this cost over £1800, is a disgrace!
I still have my 12 year old Toshiba Portege, and it is now happily running Windows 11; it has never given the slightest problem and has been all round the world with me.
So, draw your own conclusions. If you want to waste £1800, buy a DELL!
