The silent salesman EmporioLive

Today is the last day of the year and I wish everybody on TrustPilot a Happy New Year.
My own wish for the New Year is that the company I trusted and paid 850 Euro; EmporioLive, will finaly send me my Ipad Air. I have waited since the 26th of November for it to happen.
I have E-mailed with no answer, I have tried to phone them, only to hear a portugice voice on an answering machine saying somthing I don`t understand. I have registred a bill on their Support Center only to find the account not accessable the next time I tried to log in there.
I can`t wait forever and I must consider legal steps if nothin happens within the first week of the new year. I am so very dissappointed over this.
Roald Ingebrigtsen, 66
Yesterday, the 9th of january my Ipad arrived to my door. What a relief!
But I shall never again buy anithing from EmporioLive.

Good products for a cheap money

Ordered a Garmin GPS watch two years ago, and wasn't too happy because the delivery took about one week, but I had paid for a quick delivery. BUT! Since they have such great prices, and I DID receive my device the last time, I was just prepared for an extra delivery period, and ordered my new GPS watch from this site again, though this time with regular delivery.
I was gladly surpriced, I recieved my package within 5 days! (Ordered wedensday, received the package the following monday). And I saved approximately 400 DKK!

EL keeps ignoring my contact attempts about a valid cell phone warranty

EmporioLive promises 2 year warranty at least for their cell phones. My Sony Ericsson broke after about 1,5 years after I bought it from EL. As you can see, EmporioLive has a "Super Support portal with 100% satisfaction" or something, where you can contact them with your problems.

My phone wont turn on anymore so I have created four (4) tickets there explaining my problem and giving the details of the receipt. No reaction. I hope I gave them enough time to answer, only four weeks.

Well, because I am a fair man and always believe good about everyone (even EL), I thought maybe their support portal wont work. So I wrote a polite e-mail. No reaction. I wrote another one. No reaction. I tried to call. No reaction. After that I checked, are they still on business. And yes, they are.

So, I have written my story, truthfully, with objectivity and without any anger.

I have no complaints about the products they are selling. But please, keep in mind when ordering some expensive electronic device from Emporio Live: Their own warranty does not work at all.

If you ever have wondered the question: "Who is that lurking in the shadows?" , I know the answer: It´s the EmporioLive employee hiding from the unsatisfied customer.

Dear Morten,

We'd like you to please reconsider your review.

great product and delivery, but old maps

I had absolutely no problems with the ordering or delivery of my Garmin Zumo 660 GPS. All parts were there and it has worked well both on a motorcycle and in a car. However, I soon found out that the maps in the GPS were outdated. For example, it did not have motorways in Denmark that were built at least 10 years before my purchase. As well, I never managed to figure out how to sign up for automatic map updates, which I seem to be needing very much. Apart from that, a great product.

Not trustworthy

Tried to buy a bike gps, but even though i was set to be in stock it turned out not to be, after 2 weeks of waiting, i have asked to get me money back (refund)
this still hasnt happend and now i have to get my bank involved and send a complain to visa card.
i would give them minus 5 stars if this was possible.
i wont try to buy anything there again that is for sure.
update: got my money back with Visa card's help after 3 weeks, so now i am finnaly done with them...

A pure and simple scam

Probably one of the worst online shop I ever dealt with. They showed during my relationships with them such a lack of professionalism, such a dishonnesty, that they would probably deserve to be sued.

I ordered a Nokia smartphone on their website on the 05/12/2011. One or two weeks later I receive the parcel. I open the box, and first surprise : the phone has clearly been used ! There are quite visible scratches on the screen, and the plastic containers containing the phone and the battery look shabby. But the best part is still to come : I turn on the phone, connect the charger, plug it into a socket, and ... nothing ... No animated battery logo or anything else to show that the phone is being charged.
After a few minutes and tests (especially trying the charger of my old Nokia on the "new" one), I must face the truth: the delivered cherger is not working.

I rush to the online support, and given the more than mediocre outcome of the delivery, I refuse to risk another one and ask for a refund. The support answers me: since I am sending an item back, they will have to retain cancellation fees of 15% !... I fire back, noting that it is not a cancellation but a return due to a faulty item. New answer from the support: they will have to retain cancellation fees. Getting really angry at that point, I threaten them to largely advertise their business practices. They start sounding a lot more unctuous (it should have made me careful), and tell me that, "since the item was faulty" (oh really...), no fee will be deducted.

So I send back the phone to the address they give me. The date is 04/01/2012. Then begin a long waiting. Notices in the parcel follow-up report an incomplete address, then probably after finding the missing bits, that the delivery could not be done, for "absence of the addressee or case of force majeure". I get back to the emporiolive support: still unctuous, they tell me that they have not seen anything yet, but that I should not worry, the parcel will eventually arrive... It is mid February by then.
A few days later I notice that the support website goes offline. Hence I lose everything in my ticket.

Finally, on the 06/03 the parcel containing the phone arrives... at my address: return to sender, without any visible reason. I first try to contact emporolive again (after tracking down their new support system, which of course holds no trace of previous tickets) to asks them if they know what happened. After dodging the questions for a while, they end up ingenuously declaring that they are still waiting for the parcel...
I give up and try the post office. And the truth comes down: the internal files show without doubt that the addressee refused the parcel, on the 7th of february !

Conclusion: I find myself with a phone that I cant charge (except via USB, when I can get a hold on a PC), and haveing paid return shipping fees for nothing.
What more can I say, except this: next time you will feel like ordering anything on that website, attracted by the lower price, just think twice before dialing you credit card number.
